Holly made her way out the music shop. She had locked up for the night, like she ahd doen most nights whenever she worked the nigth shift.

Vincent walked silently through the streets..aggravated and thirsty. He looked all night but found no one who was appealing to him. He knew he couldn't go one night without drinking. A low growl came from his throat as he sat down on a bench.

Holly put on ehr headphones before startign to wlak away. SHe was excited to get back home and try out the new recipe that she had printed off.

Vincent smiled as he saw a girl walk past him on the other side of the street. He knew she couldn't see him since his outfit blended in with the night sky. He moved swiftly to the other side of the street at vampire speed, impossible for the human eye to see. He thought he follow her for a while just for fun before he attacked.

Holly hummed to whatever song was playing on her Ipod. She loved the song that was playing, since it was fairly quiet outside, she started singing outloud.

Vincent couldn't stand it any longer. He grabbed her by the hair and twisted her neck up so her flesh was fully exposed."Your blood is so pure. You mind if I bite you?"He asked smiling at her.

Holly let out a scream when he pulled her hair and twisting her neck. SHe did everythign thing she could to get him off of herself. "Get off of me," she said, tryign to shove him off.

He laughed quietly to himself."Oh, come on. We're just having a little fun. you like fun right?"He asked as his red eyes gazed into hers.

Holly looked away from his eyes. She was soon drawn back into them, seeing hwo red they were.

He smiled again. Just as he was about to bite her he stopped and looked into her blue eyes. He sighed and let her go and stepped back. He rubbed his temples aggravated again.

Holly stepped back, her legs buckling from under her and she fell to the ground, unable to move.

Vincent looked at her and quickly picked her up, holding her in his arms."Did I frighten you?"He asked looking at her.

"Hell yeah," Holly said to him, tryign to get herself abck together.

"May I take you home?"He asked concerned.

"Whya re you being so nice to me?" she asked him.

"Do you want me to be mean? I can be mean if you want me to. I can take your life right now and no one will ever know. I can do that if you want."He said glaring at her.

"Why did you stop yourself from taking a bite?" she asked.

"Because I like you...this never happened so be happy I ddnt kill you."He said to her.

"We don't even knwo each other, how do you like me?"

"I'm a vampire sweetheart. Isn't that enough? Your blood smells divine."He smiled at her.

"That's jsut a little bit creepy," Holly said to him.

He put her back down."How?"He asked raising an eyebrow.

"That you think my blood smell divine, that's jsut creepy."

"Well, I am a vampire...where do you live?"He asked.

"I'm not telling you where I live, I'll wlak home on my own."

"No. It's too late. You may get hurt."He said lowly.

"I've walked home ythis late before."

"So. I'm walking with you, deal with it. Lead the way."He said firmly.

"I don't want you knowing where I live," Holly said to him.

"Why you think im going to stalk you or something?"He asked

"You might," Holly said to him.

"I wont. I promise. Now stop arguing and go home."He said to her.

"Fine," Holly said, heading towards ehr house.

He followed right behind her quietly so his footsteps were barely heard.

"You better not let my dad see you," Holly said to him.

"Trust me he won't."He smiled slightly.

"Good," Holly said before putting her headphone back on and turning on ehr music.

Vincent walked queitly behind her. Kicking rocks that were in the way. His thirst had gone down and his eyes turned back to their normal color, brown. This had never happened to him before and he wasn't sure why.

By the time she reached her house, Holly had forgotten the Vincent was following behind her.

"Which one is your room?"He asked quietly in her ear.

Holly jumped about 5 feet in the air when he whispered in her ear. "It's on the third floor," she said to him, taking off her shoes.

He walked up the stairs peacefully at vampire speed, unoticable. He walked down the hall and opened her door. Of course he knew, he'd smelled her scent even with the door closed. He walked in and looked around. He sat on her bed smiling to himself.

"Please don't jsut go into my room randomly like that again, you never know what I might have layign around here."

"What like a dog or something?"He asked looking at her.

"The room might be dirty and my things might be laying around."

"Oh so what, who cares their just clothes. I like your room...it's too girly and too bright. You ever wanted to try darker colors?"He asked looking at her.

"No, I like these colors," Holly said to him, "now leave so I can go change."

"Where will I go? I can go in your closet.."He said opening her closet door...trying to fit in.

"Go into the hall or something, my dad will be asleep right now."

He sighed."Fine."He walked out into the hall and leaned aganist the wall. He was looking at all the family pictures they had, he smiled lightly.

Holly took him time changing into her pajamas. whatever kept him out of her room amde her happy.

He peeked into of what he guessed was her parents room and saw her dad sleeping peacefully and her mom flicking through the TV channels.

Holly poked ehr head out of the room and went over to him, pulling him back. "Don't do that again," she said to him.

"Why not? Your mom is pretty. She looks just like you, but her smell is different...it kinda stinks. Your dad is not really appealing either"He said grinning.

"I don't wnat my parents spotting you," Holly said to him.

"Why? You'll get in trouble for having a guy in the house?"He said grinning still.

"This late at night I would and they don't even know who you are," Holly said, goign into her room.

He followed and leaned aganist her door."Eh, so what. I can take them...can I have a taste?"He asked looking at her.

Hooly soon sat down on her bed, looking at him. Should she let him or not?

He stood their quietly waiting for her response.

"Fine," she said, moving the hair off of her neck for him.

Vincent smiled."Do you want me to kill you?"He asked her.

"No, I'm quite happy with my life right now."

"Ok then. Give me your......finger."He said sitting down next to her.

Holly sighed, givign him one of ehr figners.

"Ready? It's going to hurt..."He said looking at her.

"Just do it," Holly said.

He took her finger and bit down hard, breaking into her skin and sucked the blood that oozing out. He bit down harder causing the blood to rush faster. He let out a animalistic growl while he bit.

Holly gripped the sheets under her with her free hand. It hurt like hell, it hurt a lot.

He sucked for a little while longer before releasing her finger then licking his lips to get the blood off."Divine."He said smiling.

"Now I have to clean my finger off," Holly said, heading off to the bathroom.

"You should try it...your blood I mean. It tastes good."He said looking in the mirror but saw no reflection of hisself.

"I wouldn't jsudt try my own blood," she said, washing her finger under the sink.

"Why? Don't you ever get cut and then you don't have a band-aid and so you suck your finger for it to stop bleeding? How does it taste to you?"He asked watching her.

"If I did, it foudn it gross," Holly said.

"It's just blood."He said smirking.

"Blood must taste different to humans," she said to him.

He shook his head."Do you want me to stay?"

"OK then. I'll go"He said heading for the stairs...then leaving out the front door quietly.

Holly soon drifted asleep on her bed.

Vincent got home to his tower. He was already in bed, he thought that beds were more comfortable than caskets. He closed his eyes after awhile he feel asleep.

Holly stayed well asleep until about 12 in the afternoon.

Vincent sighed as he stayed in the darkness of his room, wanting to see Holly again.

Holly walked around the area, humming to herself as she headed for work after she had gotten herself cleaned up and dressed.

Vincent crawled out of bed and went into the bathroom to shower. after awhile he got out and brushed his teeth then went into his room and cut on the TV. He still felt human somehow.

Holly stopepd outside of an old house that she ahd never seen before, or just never really paid attention to in the past.

He laughed while he watched south park. Which was one of his favorite shows.

Holly shook her head before going towards her work. SHe had to work the late shift again.

Vincent changed into some clothes and relaxed on his bed still watching south park. The day-time was so boring to him of course.

Vincent was walking around in the streets liek he always does whenever it gets dark. He wasnt thirsty though so that was a good thing.

Holly locked up after work again adn she put her headphones on, humming to herself.

Vincent smiled as he saw Holly again. He walked right beside her and took one of her earphones out."On your way home again?"He asked.

"Yes, adn don't do that again," Holly said, looking at the ear bud that was now out of her ear.

"Why? What are you gonna do?"He said smiling then taking her other one out.

"I like listening to my music when I walk home," Holly said to him, takign her headphones back from him.

"Well that just dies down the conversation."He said taking them out again.

"I don't normally talk to people on my way home unless I know them."

"But you know me right...or you just don't want to talk to me? Are you mad because I bit you?"He said looking at her. Knowing her answer would probably be 'yes' 'cause no one likes getting bit. Especially by a vampire.

"Yes, because of getting bit," Holly said, putting her headphones back in.

He took them out again."Hey, you told me to do it. Sorry I didnt mean to hurt the little princess..."He said rolling his eyes.

"Don't call me a princess," Holly said to him, "I'm not one at all." She grabbed her headphones back, angry that he took away her headphones. She wanted to go home and forget about him right now.

"Aww, are you mad at me? So what does the vampire have to do to make the princess happy again?"He asked smiling.

Holly ignored him after he called her princess again. She hated being called a princess, just because her parents had money, it didn't mean she liked to flash around in front of people.

"Oh come on you can't take a joke?"He asked but got the point of her ignoring him."Ok fine. I won't bother you."He turned swiftly and walked the other way.

Holly put her headphones back in, going towards her house. What she didn't know was that someone was following, and it wasn't anyone that she knew.

Vincent kept walking, not even bothering to look back. He didnt think he needed to since she was mad at him. And when someone was mad at him he let them have their space.

holly turned around, feelign eyes on her. She was about to scream when she felt someone from behind her, another creature, hit her in the back of the head.

Vincent quickly turned and ran to her, hissing and growling at the creature to get away from her.

One creature picked up the knocked out body of Holly, the other one jsut snarling at Vincent.

Vincent bit the creature in the neck, ripping it apart. He let the lifeless body fall to the floor. He went after the other one and grabbed it by it's neck and choked it. Squeezing harder every second.

"Even if ytou kill me, the girl will vanish and go to another creature of my kind, someone will jsut be more cruel to her."

"Why? What do you want from her?"He asked in a very raspy voice. His red eyes glistened in the moonlight.

"We want ehr blood, it's different from any other human, it's pure," the creature said, "she's a pureblooded human."

"NO! She's mine!"He snatched her outta it's arms and threw her over his shoulder."So why don't you go find some other pureblooded human to take with you."He stated harshly.

"She's the only to be found in many years," the creature said to him, "any night crawling or bloos sucking creature would pay a good price for her, any child the woman bore would have the chance of being pure blooded as well."

"She belongs to me now, she's no one else's. Now I suggest you take your ass somewhere else 'cause if I let you take her god knows what you'll do to her and I'm not gonna let her die."He said staring the creature right in the eyes.

"Be warned, other creatures will be drawn to her because of her blood," the creature said, "a day crawler, a night crawler, either will be drawn in by her pure blood."

Vincent just shook his head and walked away. Of course he believed the creature, he knew people would be coming after her but he didnt want to think about that right now. He just wanted her to be safe for now.

Holly was still passed out in his arms from gettign hit in the head by one of the creatures.

Vincent decided to take her back to his home, and so he did. He just layed her down on his bed and sat in the chair in the corner waiting for her to wake up.

Holly woke-up a couple hours later and she rubbed the back of ehr ehad.

Vincent went over to sit beside her."Hey...are you alright?"He asked concerned.

"What the hell happened to me?" she asked, looking at him. "And who the hell are you?"

"You don't remember me?"He asked confused."Oh Jesus. I'm Vincent...I'm not gonna hurt you ok"He said trying to sound sencere and calm as possible.

"How did you get into my house and what did you do to my head?"

"Your in my house technically, and someone else hit you not me. I think you should stay here, matter fact you dont have a choice, you'll be safe here. Stay right here."He went to go get her a bag of ice then he came back and gave it to her."This should probably help, of course I wouldnt know what you humans do when your hurt..."He stated smiling alittle bit.

Holly took the ice and put it to the abck of her head. "What the hell happened to me tonight?"

Vincent told her everything. About her blood, about the creatures, and the more that would surely come after her.

"Why is my blood so different?" Hooly asked him. She was wondering now why her parents didn't know about any of this.

"Because your blood is the purest. The only blood that is pure and the only pureblood that has been found in many years. Dont you see, these creatures want to kill you...like I did when I first met you..."He said as his voice trailed off.

"What makes my blood pure and different from anyone else's?" she asked him. She didn't even hear him say that he had tried to kill her.

"...I dont know. I cant answer that...it is your blood."That was simplest way he could put it because he did not know the answer; hoping he would find the answer soon.

Holly groaned, leaning against the bed and closed her eyes. "This si so hard," she mumbled.

"Anything I can do to make it seem alittle bit better?"He asked trying to sooth her the best way he can.

"I want to be home, with my parents," olly said.

Vincent was silent for a moment."I cant do that. You cant leave."He said.

"Im sorry. You dont deserve this but we cant control peoples blood."He said staring out the window.

Vincent just simply shrugged. He then spun around swiftly."You must be hungry. Would you like something to eat?"

"Food sounds great for me," Holly said to him.

"What do you want?"He asked walking to the kitchen. Why did he have one? Who knows.

"Anythign will do," Holly said to him, remainign ont eh bed.

Vincent nodded and looked around in the fridge finding nothing but bottles of blood; knowing she wouldnt want that so he closed the fridge. He looked in the cabinets and found a can of soup. He walked back into the room."Um, how do you make this?"He asked shyly.

Holly sighed, getting off of the bed. "just follow me," she said to him, heading off towards the kitchen, just seeming to know where it was despite never being in the house before.

He followed her into the kitchen and put the soup on the counter."Your actually going to eat this?"He said scrunching up his face alittle.

"If it's the only thing that I'll eat in this house, than Yes, I a," Holly said to him, "now I need a can opener and a pot to put the soup in."

Vincent looked around the kitchen and surprisingly found both. Wondering what they were still doing here."Here.."He said handing them both to her.

"Thank you," she said to hm, puttign the pot on the stove, turning it on, and yusing the can opener to open the soup.

He nodded as he took a seat in one of the chairs near the table."So how old are you?"He asked looking up at her.

"I'm 17," she said to him, "how "old" are you?" she used quotes around his age, wanting to know what he told people what his age was.

"I'm 20...technically. Can you guess my vampire age? I'll give you a hint, I was born in the 1900. Long time ago I know."He said smiling.

"You can tell me your own age when you want to tell me," Holly said to him, "It doesn't really matter to me."

Vincent laughed slightly."Im 109 years old."

"Cool...Iguess," she said to him.

"You ever wonder what's it like being a vampire?"He asked.

"No," Holly said, "never ddi."

"Why?"He asked. Although being a vampire was a little...boring because you only get to come out at night plus you eat the same thing all the time. But he thought living forever was quite fascinating.

"I just never thought about being a vampire before."

"Oh, well good because I don't think you could handle it."He said leaning back aganist the chair.

Vincent nodded. Then thought about if the creatures or somebody was still coming for her. This wasnt the time for a 'hope not' becuase they'll come eventually.

Holly checked on the food, seeign the soup wasn't ready to boil just yet.

"Could you ever see us...'dating' if that's what you wanna call it"He asked getting up and standing beside her.

"I don't know, I've never dated anyone before," she said to him.

"Ever? Seriously?"He asked confused since she was a beautiful girl to him, he'd thought she'd atleast dated someone.

He nodded and went over to the fridge and took out a bottle of blood. He opened it and drank it, feeling refreshed and better.

Holly smiled when the soup was finished. "Do you have a bowl and spoon?"

Vincent sat the bottle down on the counter and looked through the cabinets and drawers. He found them and gave it to her.

"Thank you," she said, takign the bowl and sppon. She put some of the soup into the bowl and started to eat it.

"Does that taste good?"He asked looking at it.

"Looks disgusting."He said looking away from it.

Holly shrugged, continuign to eat her soup.

"You can sleep in my bed. I'll sleep on the floor."He said after a moment of silence.

"Your not. I'm offering it to you. I dont mind."He said to her.

"If you're offering it, I guess I'll take it."

Vncent shook his head."You are so..."He didn't finish his sentence but instead he looked at her."You have the most beautiful blue-eyes I've ever seen."He said smiling slightly.

"Finish what you were saying, and thank you," Holly said to him.

"No, it's nothing. And your welcome. Your mom has the same color eyes. She's pretty."He said looking back at her.

"I look just like my mom, she used to be a model," Holly said.

"Really? For like victoria secret or something?"He asked.

Holly shrugged. "She jsut said that she was model, that's all."

He nodded."So what do you do?"He asked.

"I work at a music store," she said to him.

"So you like music. What kind of music do you like?"He asked loosing the cufflinks on his shirt then running his fingers through his hair, sort of pulling it at the ends.

"I listen tpo just about anything, minus opera," Holly said, "I can't start modeling with the agency that I want to become part of until I'm 18, so workign at the music store is the next ebst thing for me."

"Can you sing?"He asked smiling slightly.

"A little, I perfer playign witha guitar and singing at the same time."

"Well that sounds fun. I haven't learned to play anything...and I don't plan on it"He replied.

"You should, you look like a piano plyer of some kind."

"Really? Well thanks but I don't think I could ever get the keys right...I have no hand eye coordination"He said.

"I can teach you," Holly said to him.

"Well ok...um now?"He asked.

"Do you have a piano I could teach you on?"

"Well there's one in the basment.."He said getting up from his chair and heading down to the basment where there was a grand piano placed in the middle of the basement."It belonged to my father. He played it very well."He smiled then sat down on the stool and waited for her to sit.

Holly took a seat besdie him, runnign her figers over the keys. "It's beautiful," she said.

"Yes it is. I loved to watch him play when I was a kid."He said brushing his fingers along the keys.

Holly smiled, hittign a few keys. "It jsut needs to be dusted off and I should be able tp teach you how to play."

He blew off most of the dust that was covering the piano."I dont have a duster..sorry."He said looking at her.

Holly let out a small sneeze when some of the dust went by her. "It's okay," she said to him.

"Do you need a tissue?"He asked.

"I'm fine," Holly said to him.

"Right so...what's first?"He asked.

Holly smiled, showing him how to paly.

He sighed since he couldn't get the keys right."I can't get it. It sounds like crap the way I'm playing it."

Holly got behind him and took his hands on her own. "Like this," she said, moving his hands so they were placed correctly over to keys.

He moved his fingers moved lightly over the keys as he pressed them."Is this actually a song?"He asked as he played.

"It's somethign mydad helped me write," Holly said to him.

"It sounds nice."He replied."Very clam."

Holly smiled and moved from behidn him to besdie him. "You try without my help."

"Oh no. I might mess it up. I don't want to mess up such a beautiful song."He said looking at her and smiling.

"It's not realyl a good song," she said, "jsut try it out."

He sighed and started out slowly, messing up alittle bit but after a while he got it. He smiled slightly as he played.

Holly smiled as he played the song, a few mistakes here and there, but nothing bad at all.

"Do you know any other songs?"He asked then glanced at her then back down at the keys.

Holly nodded her head. "Want me to play one for you?"

"That'd be ncie."He moved over alittle so she could sit in the middle of the stool.

Holly thought for a minute, tryign to figure out which song she should play.

"Take your time...we have all day."He said glancing out the window and it was still dark."Maybe not"

Holly smiled before startign to play How TO Save a Life by The Fray, and singing along with it.

Vincent listened quietly as she played. He followed her finges on the keys, trying to remember each one just in case he wanted to play someday.

Holly smiled as she finished playing and singign the song.

"I think I remember that song...I'm not quite sure who it's by."He said running his fingers over the keys.

"The Fray," Holly said to him, "it's a very beautiful sogn with a deep meaning."

"Right. And yes...I like the song."He said smiling.

"I'm glad that you like it."

He looked at her and smiled, then slowly kissed her.

Holly was a little taken back at first, but she did kiss him back.

He pulled her closer and deepened the kiss.

Holly moved she she was clsoer to Vincentm and kissed him deeper.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her neck, trying not to bite her.
