I was outside with my Mom, and saved a baby rabbit yesterday from my Aunts cat, the cat had her by the neck and she was screaming like no one had ever heard
My mom and I chased the cat to our porch where he let go of the rabbit. I watched her as she squirmed trying to stand, I gently picked her up and tucked her in my shirt while my Mom got a flashlight so we can see the damage
My grandmother went to her window and asked us why we were shouting and we told her that my Aunts cat nearly killed a baby rabbit
I stayed with that rabbit all night; keeping her warm and gently rubbing her to keep her blood flowing, she was slowly going through shock
I gave my Mom the rabbit so I can go inside the house for a moment, we were spending the night out in our camper, and when I returned she said that the rabbit was dead. But she was not, her heart was beating like a storm
My Mom told me to go outside and get some clover from our yard for food...And slowly but surely she began to eat the clover and relax
I went back to bed at 4 in the morning with her close to me in my bed, and surprizingly she was alive
So we named her Miracle
She slowly began to move her paws and eat lettuce, clover, and dandelion leaves
But around 7 o'clock, my time, I came inside to come on here. My Mom calls me around 9:30 and tells me that Miracle is dieing. Slowly my little Miracle died in my hands tonight leaving me in tears
So around 10 o'clock, my Mom and I barried Miracle
Now I write my heartbreaking little tale here for everyone to read about...
My Little Miracle
