It was night time. A soft mew came from an ally way. A woman sighed and sat in the ally. She laid her cat ears flat agents her head and closed her eyes. "Sucks being a neko...." She said softly to herself. People passed her by with out even a second gleans. Maybe I’m just worthless…. She thought to herself.

He walked along in the street, watching as people slowly walked by him. He had made time go slower, it always made him able to get a closer look on people before they walked past him. He continued walking until he heard a soft mew from a allyway. He stopped in his track, wondering if the mew would come again.

Kat mews again and closed her eyes tight. She pulled her knees close to herself and sighed slightly. Her head resting on her folded arms.

He heard the mew again, and as a result he walked into the alleyway, looking around for where the mew might have come from. "Is it anything in here?" He said, looking around for a cat who might have made the mew as he returned himself into normal time speed.

Kat mewed softly and looked at the ohter wall. She rubbed her eyes and wiped away the tears in her eyes.

"Is it anything in here?" He asked again, looking around for the source of the mew. He knew it had to be in here somewhere, but it was a rather big alleyway, so it could take some time to find the source of it.

Kat blinked than looked around the dumpster she was hideing behind. She mewed curiously and looked at the guy in the ally way.

"Is it anything in here?" He said, heading toward the dumpster where the sound came from. He wondered if it was anything in here, or that it just was a kid who kidded with him.

Kat stud up hsakaly "I-I'm here..." She said softly. Mewing again softly.

What the? He thought, wondering why she sat here and mewed. "Why are you here all one?" He asked, looking at her with his eyes. He hadn't yet noticed her ears, neither her tail.

"I was just fired from my job and lost my apartment..." Kat explaned with a sigh. Her ears drooping a little.

"Why? Just a case of bad luck, or any spesific reason?" He asked, knowing he sounded pushy, but he was really just curious.

"For reasons..." Kat said as she pointed to her ears and tail.

"Oh.. Well thats different.." He said, then shrugged his shoulders. "Not like im any better.. Hi, im Bartimeus." He said and held out his hand for her to shake.

"I'm Kat." she said shakeing his hand. "N-nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. Do you want to just sit here or do you want to have a place to live? Because I got room open for you." He said and smiled to her.

kat blinekd than smiled. "I'd rather have a place to live."

"Okay then.. Do you want to be seen on your way out of here or not?" He said, smiling wider. He loved showing off his powers to others, but he could only do it to people he mean't looked trustworthy.

"I-I doun't want to be seen..." She said softly. She looked up at him with a small smile. "Thank you for this..."

"No problem.." He said and took his hands together, mumbled something, then he freezed time so that only he and her could move. "There, follow me.." He said and walked out of the alleyway, all the people out in the street standing completely still.
