A small smile pressed against Audrina's lips as she stepped onto the sand. Finally, they had made it there after the long drive from Michigan. Her parents had let her have an hour at the beach before they had dinner together back at the hotel. Sighing softly, she looked around for an empty spot to lay her towel.

((Is is Back!))
Cody had been hanging out with a couple of other guys he'd found on the beach, they'd all been playing volleyball for what seemed like hours.
He looked around the beach, taking in all his surroundings.
He saw some girl, just walking. Normally he ignored all the girls, but this one was quite the vision.
"Hey man!" one of the guys said, noticing him staring at her, "you should tottally go start a conversation with her!"
Cody shrugged, he could probably come up with something to say.
So, he made way over to meet her.
"Hi." That's all he said, he did wish he could come up with something else to say.

/|Welcome back (:/|
Finding a spot which was also near some trees, she started to walk, deciding it was a good one. Though it was getting closer to evening, the sun was still out and bright. The shade would do her some good. Hearing someone, she turned and saw a guy around her age. "Hey," she said and smiled friendly. It was a little wierd, but she had gotten used to random guys coming up to her. "What's up?" She asked, pausing to get a better look at him.

"Oh, aah, nothing, just kind of bored, sure I'm at the beach, but you know, I wasn't alowed to bring a friend this time. So, uh. yeah, how long are you here for?" He asked

Audrina smiled, finding him rather attractive when she took a closer look. "Awe, that sucks. Well, I'm just with my parents too," she said and smiled sadly. "For about seven weeks. You?" She asked him curiously. "Oh and I'm Audrina by the way," she said, extending her hand out for him to shake.

"All summer, I don't know where my parents get the money." He laughed. He was actually pretty sure all this money came from all the cash they'd inherited when his grandparents, who were very wealthy died.
"So yeah, anyways, It simply sucks being with my parents, they're boring and can only seem to talk about 'important' things.... And your parents?" He asked, sitting down in front of her.

Audrina shook her head slowly as she listened to him talk. "Ah yeah... I know what ya mean," she said. She could relate to him in many ways. "My parents are workaholics. And besides for these seven weeks in the summer, they don't take much time off," she said while spreading out her towel. "And they're pretty boring, always talking buisness and other boring stuff," she said. Before sitting down, she took off her tee-shirt and mini skirt, revealing a bikini skirt.

"Wow. Sorry to hear that, although I thought I was the only one, considering my friends back home all pretty much love their parents. Of course, theirs aren't as strict as mine. I mean, c'mon 10:00 PM is my bedtime on school nights. Not like I really sleep though, I usually just quietly play videogames...or read..." He said, 'or read' a bit quiter than he'd said everything else, considering most teenagers didn't like to read. So he never said much about it.
..."Hey man! C'mon we're going to play another game!" Called one of the guys he'd been playing Volleyball with.
"Hey you wanna play?" He asked, her, hoping she'd say yes. Of course if she didn't he'd probably just ask her to come watch them play.

"Oh, that sucks," Audrina said and smiled sheepishly. She usually tried to be in bed by 11, and usually was asleep by 11:15 while reading or listening to music. "Eh, my parents arn't that strict. Probably because they don't get home until around 8," she said and chuckled quietly. "I like to read though. Not very good at videogames, but they're fun sometimes," Audrina said and shrugged her shoulders. She looked up at the guys who were calling to him and then looked to him when he asked the question. "Sure," she smiled and got up.

He smiled back, 'good, I got her to come.' he thought, looking at the rest of the guys, and saying, "you don't mind if she plays do you?" he asked, certainly not insinuating that they'd have something against a girl, just asking because it wasn't exactly his own group of friends.
"Of course we don't! With us there's always room for one more!" One of them replied, "as a matter of fact, why don't we let the lady start the game?" He asked, smiling and throwing her the ball.

((Ohh and one more thing: I've been on the verge of getting very grounded from the computer, meaning I might not be on as much as usual for a while, but by no means am I ignoring you, k?))

Audrina smiled at the guys as she and Cody joined them at the volleyball net. Though it was nice just sitting around on the beach and relaxing, she thought it'd be fun to play some volleyball, even if she wasn't the greatest player. She was more into swimming and basketball. Nonetheless, she would try her best. "Alright," she smiled, catching the ball and then going into position. Audrina served the ball, and surprised herself as it smoothly went over the net.

((thank you, you were certainly more understanding than a few people (: ))
Cody smiled, "Nice" he said, watching the ball intently as several different people hit it, back and fourth, over and over, hitting it whenever it came to him, and watching her everytime Audrina had it, and always complementing her.

/|Really? I'd think a lot of people would be understanding about that sort of thing :P/|
Audrina smiled to herself as the game went on. They were doing pretty well, and had only let the ball touch the ground a few times now. Once was her fault, but she was still doing pretty good for only playing volleyball during gym, and sometimes on random family picnics they had during the summer time.

((Yeh I thought the same thing, but you'd be surprised. O.O))
Cody laughed, the game was victorious on their part, they'd won, and he was happy with that. "Nice game." He said, looking over to see if Audrina was as tired as he was.
"Enjoy yourself?" He asked.

/|Ah well that's never happen to me so... I probably would be :P/|
"Yeah, it was fun guys," Audrina told the guys and smiled a little. "This is our spot, just come on over if ya ever wanna play again," a guy called out, winking playfully as they gathered their things and started to heard out. Audrina looked over to Cody and nodded her head slowly. "Yeah, how about you?" She asked, throwing her sweaty hair over her shoulder before walking over to him.

"Yeah I am.. It was certainly fun though. I'm going to be doing this everyday for well, the rest of the summer. I wonder how fast Im going to get tired of this?... So, you're parents don't mind you being gone all this time? Mine would be calling me by now if they weren't so tired" He laughed.

Audrina laughed a little and nodded her head slowly. She knew she'd be at the beach almost every day, and probably soon would get tired of it-but for now, she wanted to enjoy. "Eh, I just need to check what time it is. They want to meet at 7 for dinner," she said, starting to walk back to where she had lay out her towel.

He looked down at his watch, "It's only 6:30." He called when she was already half way there, and cuaght up to her.
"Sorry I didn't say anything until you were already half-way over here, I just-ah, didn't thin kabout it I suppose, too busy looking at yo--" He stopped, he was saying his thoughts, thats not what he meant to do.
"I meant I was too busy satring at the uhmn. Ocean..." he said.

Audrina looked over to her side as he caught up. "Oh, it's fine though," she said and smiled reassuringly, not realizing he had a watch on, or she would have asked him instead of going to look at her phone. "I guess I've got thirty minutes then to spare," she said, pausing and looking at him.
DaftEnigma

"So," he said, looking at his watch once more.. "What do you normally do with a free thirty minutes?" he asked, he hated having to come up with the ideas, so he simply discarded the idea of trying.
"I guess it was pretty stupid idea to put on a watch, to come to the beach.." he said that, mostley to himself.
bballangel1
07-20-2009, 01:51 PM
"Well... I guess it would be different 'cause we're on the beach," Audrina said and laughed softly. "At least the watch came in hand," she added, smiling at him. She moved her gaze over to the ocean. The water seemed appealing, but she didn't want to get herself wet just before having to have dinner. "Uh... Wanna go sit and talk?" She asked, shrugging her shoulders.
DaftEnigma
07-21-2009, 05:20 AM
"Sure," he said, walking over to her, and standing beside her, and almost took her hand, then he stopped himself what are you thinking, you idiot? he asked himself mentally.

07-22-2009, 01:37 AM
"Cool," Audrina smiled, feeling glad that he was okay with the idea. If he wasn't, she didn't know what else to say. She led them back to where her towel and bag were. "Oh you want a towel to sit on?" She asked, taking out an extra pair that she had always had from her bag. It was a girly one, like all her towels were, but she was sure Cody wouldn't mind.
DaftEnigma
07-29-2009, 02:07 AM
He accepted the offer, not caring about the print on the towel, it was just a towel, who would ever notice?
"so," he said, gazing out at the ocean, "Whats the best part about this place, hmn?"

Audrina glanced over at him and smiled, thinking for a moment but soon responding. "Everything's just so peaceful here," she said and shrugged her shoulders. "I know it's not exactly peaceful right now, but around 9 or 10, it's really nice," she said softly. "What about you?" She asked.
DaftEnigma
07-29-2009, 09:56 PM
"yeah it's really peaceful." He agreed.
"I like meeting people. I'm a total people person, very outgoing, love making friends. SO I like being out and about around 1-3 PM becasue everyones on the beach." He said.
"I wouldn't be surprised if my parents just bought a house here." He laughed, "because I think they like it, too."
bballangel1
07-30-2009, 02:31 AM
"That's cool," Audrina said and smiled warmly at him. She had met many people here while on her vacation, but as soon as it was over, they kind of lost in touch as the school year went on and everyone went back to their normal lives. "I'd be a little wierd for me to live here, though probably a lot of fun," she said and laughed a little.
DaftEnigma
07-30-2009, 09:36 PM
He smiled.
"Yeah. I kind of get tired of loosing contact with people I meet. I mean theres computers and such-what.. But thats not the same as seeing them every day, and actually talking about something interesting. I dunno. I'd kind of like living here. Might even love it." he trailed off "then again, all the girls I'd meet would go home at some point." He thought. And that'd be a dissapointment.
bballangel1
07-30-2009, 11:26 PM
"I know what ya meant," Audrina said and nodded her head slowly. She went through the same thing. It just wasn't the same as actually seeing the person and being able to hang out. After a while, they ran out of things to talk about. "I don't know if I could live here... It's just not the same I guess as back home," she said and shrugged her shoulders casually. It would suck having to leave all of her friends behind for forever. But no matter, she still enjoyed coming every summer. It was always something different every year.

He smiled, and quickly thought of another conversation starter, "So what do you do in your spare time?" He asked, hoping it would keep them talking a bit longer.

Audrina looked to Cody as he asked her another questions. She didn't mind them, 'cause she often found silences uncomfortable at times. "A lot of things," she told him and chuckled a little. "Swim, read, jog, hang with friends, go shopping, listen to music, watch movies, sleep," she said and shrugged her shoulders casually. The list could go on forever and ever. "How 'bout you?" She asked curiously.
