Briiiinng. The last bell of the day sounded as Echo got out of his seat and hurriedly left the class room. He hated his last class and was surely failing it. He sighed as he walked to his locker to get school stuff and walking to the gym for practice.

"If coach finds out I have detention tomorrow, I'm screwed!" he said to no one in paticular seeing as how the hall way was empty save for one girl.

Cheyanna was finishing up some stuff. She smiled as she soon fixed her glasses to her eyes once again and then turned around. She had her nose stuck in the book like always. She soon walked along the halls and soon looked down. BAMB it was too late. She had ran right into the leader of the basketball team. She looked around and then looked at him. "Oh my I'm so sorry I should have been watching were I was going" She said as she looked at him.

He felt like sneering at her, this nerd, but he was too worried that coach was going to chew him out," Yeah, whatever. It was my fault."

He helped her up but walked away before she could say anything.

He headed to the locker room and changed quickly. He could hear the coach yelling. This was not good.

Cheyanna sighed as she put away her book and then went to the gym and told the coach that he had a call i the office from his wife.

She soon walked off toward her work. She worked as a waitress at a local resteront. She had her hair up in a bun as she walked around surving people.

Echo was soar, the coach had made him run suicides until he had all but fallen on the floor.

"Ugh, you guys are lucky. How do you not get detention?" Echo said as he looked at his friends who where in his car with them. They had decided to go eat at some place his friends had decided. He parked and they walked into the restaurant.

They sat down in a both and talked while they waited for their server.

Cheyanna soon seen some people entering. She got some paper and a pen and walked over to the table and smiled. "HOw can I help you tonight?" She asked as she looked around and waited for everyone to order.

One of his friends, Jacob, smirked," I'd like you."

Echo rolled his eyes and punched his friend in the shoulder," Sorry. He's an a.ss. I'll have a double burger with bacon and no onions with a Dr. Pepper."

His other friends ordered the same thing, and waited for Jacob to order.

"Pfft. Whatever they ordered. I don't care," He said angrily.

Smiled and nodded. "Alright coming right up" She said as she walked off and soon about 10 minutes later she was carring a large silver tray with thier food and drinks on it. "Here you go" She said handing thier food to them and walking off once again to help someone else.

After they were done eating and left a tip on the table, Echo got up and went to the front to pay. His friends were already leaving and getting into his car. He sighed, sometimes he wondered if they even like him. He payed for everything they did. He scowled softly, but waited patiently for the clerk to tell him how much he owed.

Cheyanna soon walked over and told him how much. She got the money and then gave him his changed and went to clean up and taking the tip from the table.

Echo walked out of the restaurant and into the car driving his friends to their houses. He got home and walked into the house. Echo sighed and realized that his parents weren't home when their housekeeper's voice rang in the house. She liked to sing while she worked. He walked upstairs completely beat. He should get to bed since he had detention the next morning.

Cheyanna had went home to her parents and soon got into a nice warm shower and went to bed. The next morning she got dressed for school and soon helped out the teacher with some work. She walked into the same room that Echo was in and told the teacher a few things and then walked out.

Echo watched her leave and wrinkled his eyebrow. Where had he seen her? He shrugged his shoulders and went back to what he was doing. He yawned, who knew detention was so boring?

It was lunch time and he and his friends were eating in the center of the cafeteria were they always sat. They were being loud, but none of the teachers got onto them. He listened to what they were saying and commented some, but other than that, he really didn't want to talk.

She walked into the cafe and soon ran into a cheerleader. She went to say she was sorry but the girl had stole her glasses. One of the other girls had pulled down her hair. Her nice long hair fell around her as she looked at them. One went to punch her but she dodged it and then turned around and kicked her in the stomach. She stood there everyone stopped and watched the whole thing play out.

Echo looked up just in time to see the girl from earlier kick the cheerleader in the stomach. He stood up and walked over to the girls. Echo grabbed the glasses from Lily, the cheerleader the girl had bumped into.

"Lily, why are you such a b!tch? Here you go,"He handed her, her glasses," I'm sorry about that."

The three cheerleaders left angrily and turned back once more," You'll be sorry!"

Echo rolled his eyes," Don't believe them they're harmless. I'm Echo. In case you didn't know."

Looked at him and smiled as she put on her glasses. "Oh thanks and no it's alright I'm used to it by now anyways" She said as she smiled and then fised her shirt. "I'm Cheyanna" She said as she soon held her hand out for him to shake.

He made a small wave goodbye before going to sit with his friends.

Echo sighed, and looked up at the ceiling. He scowled, he truly hated this class. He glared at the back of the teacher's head.

When she mentioned that they would need partner's he scowled none of his friends were in this class.

She looked to see Echo. Once they were allowed she walked over to him. "Hey would you like to be my partner?" She asked as she looked at him and smiled some more.

"Hey it's no biggy" She said and soon the teacher went on to explan that the partner we were with was our husband or Wife for a week we had to make up our own carrers and how many children they had and so forth. "Oh well this should be fun" She said and blushed a bit.

He laughed," I know right? I took this class last year and got paired with Lily. What fun. Anyway yeah. What are you doing after school? This project takes a lot of time, if you want to get it right. We can meet at my house or your's it doesn't matter to me."

Looked at him and smiled. "We could go to your house, my house is not at the right state to let anyone come in" She said and smiled at him and laughed a bit.

The two girls from earlier rolled their eyes.

The other girl, Elizabeth, nodded," Like yeah, she's sooo not pretty."

Echo whistled happily thinking of practice and what he would do after practice. He walked into his next class and sat down waiting for his friends to get there.

Watch Lilly walk off and rolled her eyes and soon walked into her last class. Once the bell rang she made her way to the gym and watched Echo practice. She couldn;t hep but feel this attraction pull her in.

Echo and his friends laughed as they were doing drills on the court. They always made a game of it. He stopped mid-drill when Cheyanna walked in, he smiled and waved at her, and in the process got hit with a basketball. He turned and glared at the person, and rubbed that back of hist head. He started the drill agian when the coach began to get red.

Cheyanna gasped as she seen him get hit with the ball. She covered her mouth and let out a few giggles. She then made her way and sat on the bleachers.

The coach had decided to run them hard after Echo had messed up. He had them run all during practice unless they needed to work on passing, so it was mostly the benchwarmers that were practicing. After practice and Echo had showered/changed, he waved goodbye to his friends and walked into the gym.

" Hey!" he called out," Did you like practice?"

Smiled as she got down and nodded. "Yea I just hope your alright tho that ball to the face looked like it hurt" she said while trying to hold in a small giggle. "I'm so sorry i know I shouldn't be laughing but your face was just so funny" she said biting her thumb to stop laughin.

He laughed," Yeah, not so cool. So you want to go now?"

Looked at him and smiled more. "Yea sure lets get this progect started" She sid a she went with him to his house. "Echo are- Ohh who is this beautiful woman Echo, is she your grilfriend?" His mother aske dhim and She stood there looking down blushing.

"Moooommm!" Echo said angrily," She's a friend. We're 'husband' and 'wife' for the Personal Family and Development Class."

He pulled Cheyanna away from his mom and up the stairs to his room. He slammed the door behind them,"Hehe, I'm sorry about that. My mom's well. . . a mom. She knows nothing, I bet Rosa wouldn't have said anything like that. Rosa's our house keeper. She's more of a mom than my own mom."

Cheyanna smiled at him mother and then was walking up stairs. "Oh don't worry about it" She said as she smiled and then took a look around his room. "So first this is first, how long have we been married?" She asked him sitting on his bed and feeling how comfy it was.

Echo plopped down onto a bean bag," Uhm, seven years. How many children do we have?"

Cheyanna looked at him and thought for a moment. "How about four and one on the way" She said as she looked at him. and laid back. "What age did we get married at and how old are we now?" She said as she sad back up and looked at him.

He nodded," Ok we were married at twenty-five and are now thirty-two!"

He shifted in his beanbag," Do you want anything to eat, 'cause I'm starving."

Looked at him and smiled. "Is that a question for the project" She asked giggling. "But yes please I'm getting hungry as well" She said and then once he went off she stayed in his room and looked around.

He got up and walked to the intercom next to the door," Rosa, do you think you could bring up some snack food for me and my friend? We've got a project to work on."

Smield at him and ndoded. "Yea I wish I had a bed like this" She said and giggled a bit more. "Hmm well if your a doctor then I will be a Parmedic" She said and smiled. "How did we meet?" She asked him looking at him.

She nodded writing everything down. "Alright and yes our oldest one is in Jr.High and our youngest is in pre-school" She said and smiled. "Well this until I give birth" She smiled and then felt weird as she said that.

Echo groaned and shifted on the bean bag, it wasn't the most comfortable," Um. . . I created my own song for you and we danced in out at the time crowded apartment and at the very end, I got down on one knee and asked you to marry me."

Echo laughed," Last time, when I did this with Lily, it lasted a week long. We've almost got it done, and it's only been a day. You know what we should do. . . We should go dressed as a doctor and a paramedic and bring little kids with us! I bet we'd get extra credit."

Smiled at him. "My mother can get the paremedic costum for me and I can get some kids from the day care to help out, thats were I work" She said as she smiled. "my mother can also stuff my stomach as well" She said and smiled. "The day we present will be awsome" She said and smiled more.

While she was talking to her mom Echo had called Rosa to tell her that his friend was going to stay for dinner.

She smiled and then thought for a moment for a question. She soon got one and smiled. "Alright, when you get out of high school what are you going to do next?" she asked as she looked at him and smiled more wondering what his plans were.

He grinned," Yeah, more than one though. It sucks being an only child. Ok, same for you, do you want kids?"

He sat up on his beanbag and smiled.

She looked at him and smiled. "Yea I would love to have at least Twins or Triples" She said as she smiled and sighed. "But I mean who wants to have kids with a wanna be dective and geek?" She asked as she giggled a bit. "Alright third question" She said as she smiled and thought for a moment. "What about me insterts you?" She asked getting a bit daring.

He looked thoughtful for a moment and said," The fact, that I've never met anyone like you. You're interesting, fun to be around, and the fact that you want to be a detective. All my 'friends' want to do is be a professional basketball player. How interesting is that? Ok, what do you find interesting about me? My friends think I'm boring."

Looked at him and smiled. "Your insterting, becasue well your fun to be around, have a good sence of humor wanna be a doctor and well dont really care who your friends are" She said as she smiled. "I like that about you" She said and sighed. "But too bad I mean I've never said this before but since I first meet you I guess you could say I have fallen for you, but some other chick wants you and I bet you be better off with her instead of a geek like me" She said and looked down.

He looked at her, eyebrow raised, and sat up," Really? I- I think I like you, too."

He stood up looking down, he was nervous. He'd never told another girl he'd liked her. Usually they asked him out and he said yes," W-would you go out with me?"

Looked at him and smiled and blushed a bit as she also stood up and made her way to him and lifted up his chin and smiled. "I would love to date you Echo" She said and soon she felt herself lean toward him a bit closer her eyes closing. All she wanted was to feel his lips agaist her own lips.

He grinned happily before wrapping his arms around her and kissing her softly.

Soon pulled back just as the door opened and Rosa walked in with thier dinner. She smiled as she looked down and Rosa smiled at him and then walked out. "I'm glad I did decide to stay for dinner" She smiled at her new boyfriend.

Rosa smiled before she left quickly, Echo was like a son to her, since she had no children of her own. She was glad that he'd found happiness.

Echo grinned," I'm glad you did, too. Now, let's get to Rosa's cooking! It tastes good, even if it's cold, but it taste better warm and hot."
