Through ages of time, a land shrouded in mystery shapes itself and forms into two very different nations. One of Light, and of of Darkness... Though very similar in nature, people resolve to conflict and War to decide the greater of the Nations. Now two deciding factors remain to tell the judgment of their World. Will they come together to resolve their hate and anger, or will they perish into the void they create with their War?

Name: Ryou Desirden
Age: 19
Bio: The Prince of the Light Nation, he resides in his Father's castle where he watches the thin border from the Light and Dark Nations. He longs to explore the World, knowing there is more to it then meets the eye. He is a strong willed person, able to overcome any obstacle with thought and strength.

Bio: Princess of the Dark nation. She may seem innocent and one you can take advantage of but never judge a book by its cover. She will do whatever she has to to protect her nation. She is shy, kind, and sweet at times but can be real B!tchy at other times.

Ryou woke up, the bright sunlight blanketing his bed chambers. Stretching his arms, he groaned loudly as he popped his back. He opened his eyes slowly, sitting on the edge of his bed as he stared out the window at the darkness across the border. He smiled, knowing that it was always dark, and it was always light here... He had always wondered how such a big place could be separated by such a thin line.

Midnight yawned and sat up lightly. She looked out of the window at the moon and smiled. She changed into her clothes and walked to the kitchen. A servant bowed and said "Princess." She smiled and said "I'm going to go to the garden for a bit."

Ryou stood at the window for a very long time befor a knck came at the door. "Master Ryou, you're food is ready for youu." Ryou shook his head and smiled, "Thank you, I'll be down in a moment." He heard the footsteps leave, and he turned to put on his clothes. His hands glowed as he used the light to clean his old ones. He grinned, loving to use his power in small ways.

Midnight walked into the garden and let her hand brush the red roses and they turned as black as night. Off in the distance she could see the light nation. A war raged between the two nations.

(Nope not yet, but Ryou is a little explorer)

Ryou had finally dressed and opened the door. The hallway shone brightly, the windows lining the way let the morning light in across the floor. Ryou sighed, wondering why the two Nations were so different. He walked down the hall to the staircase and walked down to the Acceptance Hall. He had no intention of eating, heading through the kitchen to sneak out the back.

Midnight hummed a little as she walked through the black rose garden and picked some as she went to the border. She liked to come to the border because none of the guards really patrolled there. "I wonder what it is like over there." she muttered as she heard the horn for war sound. Night walked behind her and said 'Maybe we should go back now Midnight.'

Ryou grabbed a fruit as he ran out the back, the chef yelling at him as he ran. He slowed down as he exited the castle grounds, the horns blaring from above. He knew they were just alarms, trying to scare the other Nation. He never understood the War, his Father always telling him it was necessary. He reached the border, looking up and down it, the thin line between light and dark remaining so serene.

(A little farther down the border)

Midnight held the roses close as she sat on a rock and looked around at both nations. She hated this war and wish it would just end. So many lives had been lost in it.

(Sorry... Internet was shut off for a long while...)

Ryou slowly walked closer to the line, reaching out his hand. He hesitated to touch it, almost as if it would burn him. He frowned, knowing he had done it many times before, yet he couldn't get over the fact that the darkness somehow would envelop him. He shook his head, reaching out and watching as the line of dark and light formed across the back of his hand.

Midnight stood up and walked along the border. Night followed behind her like a mini shadow complaining about her sneaking out. After a bit she saw a boy standing on the other side of the barrier.

Ryou smiled as he waved his hand through the darkness, his arm glowing with his internal light. He laughed softly, stepping farther into the Dark Realm. He glanced back and forth, spying a small figure of a girl coming towards him. He stepped back into his realm, the border lining at his feet. He stood still, watching as she walked closer.

[~Kit-Kat~]

Midnight stopped a little ways back and looked at him. Night jumped onto her shoulder and said 'That is Light Nation prince.' Midnight asked "You are the prince, are you not?"

[Stingsticker]

Ryou stepped back a ways and nodded. "Yes, and if you are here to capture me, I suggest that you don't try it. I may be raised in a castle, but I know how to defend myself." His words weren't very strong, yet he felt a bit bolder when he said them. He looked the girl up and down, knowing she was no ordinary girl. He frowned, trying to figure out what exactly was different.

[~Kit-Kat~]

Midnight said "I don't want to capture you. I want to end this war as much as I think you do." Night watched and said 'Guards are coming.' The girl said "I must go...perhaps we will met again. I'm Midnight by the way, Princess of the Dark Nation." She turned to hurry away.

Ryou was shocked, knowing now what exactly it was. Her blood... "Princess... Midnight...." He watched her hurry away, wanting to say something. "Princess!" He held out his hand, hoping she would hear him. He wanted to see her again, the fact her wanting the war's end empowered him to want to see her again. "Meet me here again, same time, same place!!" He held his hands to his mouth, knowing her distance might impair the message. He stood dumbfounded, thinking about how pretty she truly was.

Midnight stopped and waved to him to show that she had heard him. Night said 'Hurry up you silly girl.' The girl ran through the trees and nearly ran into the guards. "Crap." she said and went to palace and up to her room.

Ryou stood next to the border. smiling goofily. "She'a not what I expected her to be..." A small light appeared above his head and he laughed, holding out his hands. It landed in his outstretched palms and a small squeak resounded past them. "Yes yes, I will be going home now..." He turned and began walking back, tossing the light into the air and started running. He had a strange energy now, and he felt as if he could jump the whole way back.

Midnight looked at her parents as they came into her room. "What?!?!" she nearly screamed at them. They were forcing her to go away for a little while until the war was over.

When Ryou reached the castle, his Father stood defiantly at the doorway. Ryou panted from his exertion, questioning his Father's stance. As if he knew, his Father pointed to the cart that was now being loaded with his things. "You're going away now, the war has abruptly enhanced and is unsafe for you here. You will be going North to the Mansion near the border. It is well hidden amongst the mountains, and you will be safe there." Ryou protested loudly, but to no avail. Soon, he would be set off for the cold North, hope of seeing the Princess again banished from his thoughts.

Midnight said to her parents "I am not going anywhere! Night lets go." She grabbed her stuff and ran out of the palace. She did not want to be sent away, she wanted to see the prince again. Night said to the prince by mind 'Yes I can talk to you. She is running away maybe you should do the same....crap Midnight run.' The girl spun around and saw the hunter before darting away.

Ryou heard the voice in his head loud and clear. He grinned, knowing he would have the opportunity once they started off. He bowed to his Father, walking to the cart. He jumped in, the guards surrounding it as they started off. After a long while, Ryou planned his escape. Magic was his forte', so he would just use it to his advantage. He held his hands out in front of him and concentrated. A dense fog rolled in over the hills surrounding them. Once the guards could no longer see, Ryou burst out and jumped into the trees, his feet glowing as he ran through the air from tree to tree. He lost them quickly, the guards none the wiser. They would be very surprised when they reached their destination.

Night spoke to both the prince and princess now. 'Head for the cave that is on both light and dark. Nobody would dare go in there.' he said as he jumped off Midnight's shoulder and changed into a man about 21 with black hair, blue eyes. "Go I'll hold them off and join you later." he said. The girl nodded and ran.

Ryou shook his head, knowing the voice was a bit mysterious to him. He smiled, knowing his escape would be complete as soon as he reached the cave. It was forbidden for anyone, even himself, to enter the cave. The ruling for this, was never written or spoke of. He continued running amongst the tree tops, skimming through the branches and leaves like a bird on wing.

Midnight stopped running and looked at Night as he came over in his cat form. 'Keep going both of you...almost there.' he cried. Midnight carried him and thought to him 'Oh you poor thing you are hurt.' Night said 'You guys can talk to each other through me I hope you know.' The King of Light watched his son and yelled "Ryou get back here!" Midnight heard her father yell for her as well.

Ryou could feel his Father's eyes, knowing nothing escaped his sight in his land. He grinned, knowing he couldn't stop him. He was now free, able to do as he pleased. War was not his calling, nor was serving an errant land that only wanted to destroy itself. He continued on, thinking about the Princess. "Princess?" He tested to see if she could actually hear him.

Midnight heard a voice calling her and then smiled when she realized who it was. "I hear you." she called back to him as she thought of him. Night said 'The kings are getting really pissed.' "No duh that is why they shoot arrows!" The girl ducked behind a tree and stood there. 'Midnight come on sweetie.' Night said. "No...I don't want to go back to the cave." the girl said.

Ryou ran faster, feeling the eyes slowly fading away from his figure. He knew his Father would send his servants out for him, but none dared enter the cave. Ryou always wondered why it was the only place in the world that remained forbidden. He could see it in his sight and smiled. "I'm here now... where are you?"

[~Kit-Kat~]

Night said to Ryou 'She froze up...not sure why though.' Midnight smirked and counted to herself. She said "Lets go now." The two darted off just as the Hunter fell asleep. They ran into the cave.

Ryou saw her run in, and jumped down from the trees, walking slowly towards the entrance. A foreboding presence filled his body with small shivers. He hesitated entering, but shook off the feeling as he stepped inside. It was filled with a strange glow, not dark or light. A mix of both. He looked around, strange markings lined the walls.

Midnight ran her hand along the wall as Night ran over to the boy. "Light and Dark." she muttered under her breath. Night said 'Yes light and dark shall work as one, to undone what is done.' "You a poem person now?" Midnight asked the cat with a giggle.

[Stingsticker]

Ryou stood at the entrance, still a bit hesitant about the whole situation. "So... You're the Princess... and you have a cat that talks and we are now fugitives from our own lands that one day we would have ruled.... This is all too much..." He put his hand to his head, staring down at the floor.

[~Kit-Kat~]

Midnight said sarcastically "No I'm not the princess I lied. I'm a fricking servant girl that works for her."

[Stingsticker]

Ryou stared at her for a moment, hating the sarcasm she implied. "You know, if you don't want to be here, you can take off if you'd like..." He folded his arms and stared at her angrily. He had given up his place as heir to come here, and she made it sound like it was nothing and just a silly thing to joke about.

[~Kit-Kat~]

Midnight said "I'm sorry." Night looked at them and hissed 'Get into the cave deeper.'

[Stingsticker]

RYou looked down at the cat and huffed. "And why should I listen to you? You're the reason I can't go back home... Getting in my head..." Ryou was a bit angry now, but he knew it was wrong to take it out on the cat.

[~Kit-Kat~]

Night jumped on the boy and knocked him back before an arrow hit him. Midnight fell backwards herself and said "Never doubt the freaking cat. You never had to listen to him you know!"

[Stingsticker]

Ryou sat up, pushing the cat off of him. "Never doubt the cat huh..." He stood up, facing the cave entrance. He held up his hand, light shining brightly from his palms. A barrier formed around the cave and was now fully encased in unbreakable magic. He turned to Midnight and grinned, placing his hands on his hips. "Never doubt the Prince of Light."

Midnight got to her feet and muttered under her breath.

[Stingsticker]

Ryou smirked and walked closer to her now, taking in all her features. She was very beautiful, and had an air of dominance around her. No doubt a gift of her lineage. Her hair seamed to stream down from her head, in billowing textures he had never seen before in a woman. He held his hand to his mouth, a look of complex thought on his face. "Well, you seem pretty enough to be a Princess... But your stance is all wrong."

[~Kit-Kat~]

"How is my stance wrong?" asked Midnight with her hands on her hips. She sighed as she looked out of the cave. "What started this war in the first place?" she asked.

[Stingsticker]

Ryou smiled, deciding not to answer her first question. "Well obviously, the Dark Kingdom was jealous of the light. That's the way it always been, having to defend ourselves from your onslaught."

[~Kit-Kat~]

Midnight shrugged and said "Who cares as long as it ends." Night said 'It is safe...lets collect food.' The girl nodded and wandered out after the cat hesitantly. Night looked around before crossing the barrier. 'Very nice over here.' he said to Ryou. Midnight giggled a little at the cat's curiosity and said "There is a saying, Curiosity killed the cat." Night ran back into the cave and went to Ryou. 'What did you mean by her stance is wrong?' he asked Ryou and only him.

Ryou frowned and rolled his eyes. "She doesn't stand like any Lady in Court that I've seen... I suppose the Lands are a bit different in customs..." Ryou looked out the door and grinned. "It's not nice to talk about someone, we're doing her a diservice by doing so."

[~Kit-Kat~]

Night said 'She dressed up as a boy to join the army.' Midnight wandered off a little. She smiled as she gathered up so Winterberries and other fruits.

[Stingsticker]

Ryou huffed with a smile and shook his head. "Like a Princess would go off missing in the army without a hitch." He turned to the walls and began looking at the etchings. They seemed to glow, yet they stood out against the dark rock.

[~Kit-Kat~]

Night said 'You underestimate her.' Midnight giggled a little and returned to the cave with the berries. She offered some to Ryou.

[Stingsticker]

Ryou glanced back and smiled. "Dark berries or light berries?" He laughed thinking of the irony. "They probably taste the same anyways..." He took some, holding them in his hand. "Hmmm... They seem to look fine..." He placed one in his mouth, shocked at the flavor. "Wow, they taste wonderful!!"

[~Kit-Kat~]

Midnight said "From both sides actually." She smiled a little as she tore off part of her dress and put the berries on it. Midnight's fur stuck up on end as he looked towards the back of the cave. "What the..." the girl started. 'Something is coming...something evil.' Night hissed and shifted, already knowing of the danger that would befall them.

[Stingsticker]

ryou turned to face the back of the cave, putting his arm out in front of Midnight. "Get back, and I'll handle this one..." His hands began to glow, and a long beam of light shot out from them as if two long handles of light could be held. He spun them in the air, raising them defensively as he prepared for anything. He felt a presence, but it was strange that it hadn't seemed evil to him. He peered into the darkness, the lights casting an ominous glow.

Night said "No you will stand no change. You two need to run." Midnight shook her head but backed up a little. She closed her eyes and muttered "I can remove the darkness if you like."
