Adalyn came from a pureblood family. Both of her parents were very wealthy, and high ranking in the wizarding world. Because of this, Adalyn was a spoiled child. She acted like a brat up until she was ten, when, upon witnessing the death of one of her friends' fathers, she sobered up. She stopped throwing fits and turned into almost the opposite of what she was. Now, she's quiet and only slightly menacing. She does have quiet a mouth on her, though; she can out-swear a lot of the other kids her age when she's angry.

She was sorted into Slytherin when she entered into Hogwarts.

(Starting)

I was now the fourth year. A new begining for a new year. Melody sighed as she got off the train and looked around. This was her first year here but she was old enough for a fourth year student. She sighed as she looked around and then went to follow a deep voice that said all first years. She soon wondered around and soon ran into a guy with red hair. "Oh so sorry" Her voice was calm and gentel like it was when she was a child. She looke dup to see the man she had ran into.

Draco had just gotten off the train. he sighed as he soon walked over and got on the ride. once to the school he walked over and sat down and then waited for the firsdt years to be sorted and then he would begin to eat.

Adalyn tried not to show any discontent as she entered the Great Hall. She'd been one of the first off of the train, so she had gotten to the school faster than a lot of the other Slytherins. Which meant that she would have to sit by herself for a bit until her friends arrived.

'Or,' she noticed Draco sitting at the table, mostly alone,'I could sit with him...' It seemed that his friends were running a bit late as well.

Draco had been her long-time crush, ever since she started attending Hogwarts three years ago. But she'd never had enough nerve to actually talk to him. Maybe now was her chance?

But, as she approached the blond boy, Pansy Parkinson, Crabbe and Goyle appeared. They shoved past her quickly, and took the seats surrounding Draco.

George grinned as he got off of the train. He and Fred had been catching up with friends the whole ride. They'd also been planning out what pranks they would be able to pull on which teacher.

"George, you'd better look out, or you'll-" Fred started, but cut himself off as his twin collided with another student.

"Sorry about that," George said, grinning at the girl he'd run into. As he looked her over, he noticed that she was abnormally short. But she appeared around the same age as he was. Another fifth year? But he hadn't seen her around the school before, so she must be new or something. A transfer student, probably.

Draco looked at the people who were sitting beside him. He soon started to talk. "god I can't wait until this school year is done" He said as he looked over and seen a girl walk towards him but was shoved. He smirked and then thought to himself. 'It's that Adalyn girl, man I wish I could just go over and talk to her' He thought but pushed it away as they talked about how Potter was an Idiot and such.

Mel looked up, for some odd reason, this guy seemed like she knew him. "Oh i'm so sorry about that I'm new around here I don't know where to do" She said as she looked at them and smiled. "Names Melody Smith, fifth year here" She said as she smiled at them. "Who are you, why do you seem like I know you from some where?" She asked. Mel always spoke her mind, no matter what it was about.

Adalyn scowled for a half a second, before turning away. Why was she blushing!?
She was completely embarrassed. She really hoped that no one had seen that.

She glared at the ground as she sat down next to her own friends, who'd arrived just a minute ago. As they laughed and asked her questions, she put on a fake smile and answered. She laughed when they did and tried to shove the previous incident out of her mind.

She was at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry! She shouldn't be angry or upset about something so trivial!
Eventually, she did forget. She was caught up in the excitement of catching up with her friends, and making plans for the school year. Trips to Hogsmead and all that.

George thought the name over for a minute. It seemed very familiar to him for some reason. Smith...Smith...Where did he know that name from?

Oh, that's right. His dad used to talk about a Smith a lot. He had a friend with that last name at the Ministry. Now, where did he know a Melody?

A Christmas scene flashed through his head, and he instantly remembered.

He shot a look at Fred, who was still laughing at the collision between his brother and Melody. Fred grinned, showing that he knew her as well.

And then they both threw one arm around the girl, laughing.
"Mel! It's been forever!"

Draco looked over at the girl who was blushing he rolled his eyes and smirked as he stood up and walked passed her dropping a small piece of paper in her hands or by the plate as he walked off to the common room.

Mel smiled as she laughed. "hey you guys" She said as she had the same flashback. She smirked as she hugged or well tried to hug them both as they hugged her. "Man it's been years, hows everyone?" She asked as she looked at them.

Adalyn looked up as Draco walked past. He blush was long gone by now, but she could feel her cheeks heating up again. As he left, she looked back at her plate. She spotted a small, folded up piece of paper sitting next to it. It hadn't been there before, so she assumed Draco had dropped it.

She snatched it quickly, before anyone else saw it, and opened it under the table. She glanced down to read it.

Fred and George grinned at her.

"Mum's crazy," Fred started,
"Dad's a bit out there," George said,
"Charlie's off in Romania studying dragons,"
"Percy is going to be Head Boy again this year,"
"Ron's a Fourth-year here. Griffindor,"
"Ginny is a Third-year. Griffindor."

"Not much has changed," they stated.

"So, how have you been?"
The twins started walking, and Fred ruffled Melody's hair, while George guided her through a heard of other students heading for the carriages.

Draco had went to the common room and sat down on the leather couch there. He smirked as he put his arms out on the back of the couch as he waited for that girl to come down. His blond hair hung a bit in his face as his blue eyes closed.

Draco sat there for a good five minutes. 'Damn it where can this woman be' He thought as he sat there and soon stood up and looked toward the common room door as he heard a voice say the password. He sat back down.

Mel closed her eyes and bit her bottom lip as Fred messed up her hair. She moved her arms and fixed her hair. "I see, well thats good I mean about Ron and Percy and all them, but mom and dad, you guys are mean or should i say pure evil" She stuck out her tongue at them.

She soon walked with George. She stopped for a moment but looked around and then found out George and Fred had went along. She ran and soon took George's hand not wanting to get lost again.

Adalyn politely excused herself from the table, feigning sick. She told them that she wasn't feeling entirely well, and wasn't hungry. They believed her, and didn't question her.

The only problem occurred when her best friend offered to walk her back to the Slytherin common room. It took Adalyn a few minutes to convince her that she didn't need any help, assuring her that she would be fine.

So, as she said the password to get into the common room, Adalyn was just a bit nervous. She wondered what Draco wanted - he usually didn't associate himself with her for any reason. This was a bit unorthodox for him.

Fred and George laughed at her comment. "So we've been told."

They kept walking, but, after a moment, they noticed that Melody had disappeared from sight. They stopped and waited for her to catch up. When George felt her hand in his, he felt a weird, light feeling in his stomach, but ignored it.

They continued on, and reached the carriages in a matter of minutes.

Draco soon stood up and looked at her. "Hello there Adalyn" He said as he looked at her. Crab and Goyle where sitting on the other couch just sitting htere. "I have been contacted to see if you want to join you know who" He said as he looked at her and waited for her replay.

Mel smiled. She had felt the same small feeling in hre stomach. She soon let go of George's hand and sat down in the carrage. She smiled as she sat across from them. "So I'm glad everyone is alright" She said as she smiled. The truth was, her life was going down hill, her mother was terribley sick. She smiled as she looked at them more.

Adalyn's eyes widened a bit. You know who? He surely meant Lord Voldemort. The Great Lord Voldemort wanted her to be a Death Eater?
Adalyn didn't know whether to be flattered, suspicious, or terrified. Right now, she was a bit of each. But she didn't know what to say. She hadn't even known that Draco was working with Voldemort. She had been suspicious of his father for a while, though.

"Uhm..."She sat down in the nearest chair and tried to think.
"Can you give me a minute? This is kind of a lot to think about."

Fred climbed into the carriage first, and George followed after. It looked like Lee, Oliver, Alicia, and Angelina were going to take their own carriage, so the twins didn't worry about them.

They grinned again as the carriage started moving. "Yeah," said George, "And how's life going for you? If things aren't that exciting, you could help us out a bit with our experiments."

He was talking about things like the Ton-Tongue Toffee, which was still in the developmental stages.

"Of course, we wouldn't try them out on you. We'd like you to help us find people to test them out on."

Draco looked at her ad smirked. He crossed his arms over his chest and looked at her as he heard her responce. he sighed as he nodded. He soon walked off toward the boys dorms for a few minutes and then came back down as he looked at her. "Well what is your anwser?"

Melody looked at Fred ad George and smirked. "yea sure" She said as she smiled. She remembered how they used to play pranks on her as a little girl. She shook her head as she smiled and then sighed. "I would love to help you guys out" She said as she looked at them

Adalyn wracked her brain, trying to figure out what she should do. If she became a Death Eater, and she was caught, she would be sent to Azkaban...or killed. She didn't want to go through with either of those options. But if she declined, she would probably be killed for knowing about what was going on.

Finally, she came to a decision.

"I'll join You-Know-Who."

"Awesome!"

The twins high-fived and turned back to Melody. They were both wondering what house she would be placed in, and what year she would be in. She was about the same age as they were, but any number of things could keep her from being in the same year as they were. And then they wouldn't be able to see her as much.
"Are you being transferred here, or are you going to start as a First-Year, until you catch up?"

Draco smirked and nodded. "Alright then, follow m" He said as he took her hand and soon they went to where he was and he bowed to him and told him she had accepted the invation to join. He smirked and soon the death eater cloak was given to her and he wanted to put the cursed mark on her.

Mel looked at them and shook her head. "Oh transformed and I know that I will be in Gryffindor house" She said as she pointed to her robes as she smiled seeing they had the same robes on like hers.

"Uh...can we skip that part? I mean, if another student or a staff member sees it, they'll know I'm working with you."

In truth, Adalyn was just scared. She didn't want the evil wizard touching any part of her. He creeped her out a bit, in person.
She clutched the cloak tightly in her arms, not making any move toward Voldemort. She looked over to Draco, hoping that he would vouch for her. But she knew he wouldn't. He would never go against the Dark Lord.

She averted her gaze to the floor, and prayed that she could get out of here quickly.

"Right."

The twins smiled sheepishly. Neither of them had really noticed that she was wearing the Gryffindor robes already. They were both too caught up in catching up.

George found himself thinking about how nice she looked in them. He was glad that she had gotten into the same house. He wouldn't be able to see her much if she was in any other house. Except, maybe, Slytherin. Gryffindor and Slytherin had a lot of the same classes together. But he wouldn't like seeing her wearing the green and black robes associated with those disgusting snakes.

He smiled at Melody again.

Draco looked at her and nodded. "No no i's fine I under stand we can do it later" He said as he looked at her and smiled and soon looked out and then nodded. "Come on class is gonna start soon" He said as he took her hand and walked to thier first class. "Now there are a few things I need to tell you, stay away from the gryfindor's they are nothing but pethic blood muds or half breeds" He asid as he sighed.


Melody looked at Fred as he was talking and then to george and smiled. She laughed and then smiled as she seen that George was spacing out. She took his hand and intwined her fingers with his. "So george tell me who is this girl you have the big crush on Fred was telling me about?" She asked as she smiled, but deep down she was heart broken and torn, why becasue she was in love with George since she had been little.
