Society has it's classes, and that is all there is to it. You are born with your place in society, and you can't change it. A powerful family is well known throughout the land. The Kings, ironically. They have a son who just turned 18 and is in line for the crown.
There is a 17 year old girl who lives with a poor family. Her parents are cruel, and because they don't have the money they would like, they make her sell herself on the streets, and they take the money to feed their gluttony.
The young King sees her, and decides that he is to have her. That is it. She can't argue, she is just to come with him. It is made clear that this is not love. It is purely lust. So, she goes, fighting him the whole way. Egotistical man.
