For six kids life isn't easy but, they find a safe haven withing the fantasy relm, whether it be reading books, RPGs or anything that lets them...escape. One night they meet up in Escape an online RPG game as Beta testers. They play as their favorite creature (It could be anything from Angels to Demons), giving them powers, abilities, making them relistic, too relistic. This game was designed to give you an escape, but not from the monsters in the game, oh no from your own reality.

Jaryn galcned at teh computer's clock in th ebottom of her screan and nearly shouted she had to Get to Byte FAST, she had been playing Runescape and lost the time "crap crap crap" she muttered quickly closing her laptop and shoving into her black bag along with the spare battery and a pair of tightly fitting lether gloves, because her hands had a tendancy to get insanly cold while she played. she fulg her back acroost her sholder and jumped out her window so her dad, now in a drunken stupor, woudnl't hear her. she darted down the street headed twards Byte.

Emma walked down the street with her coat wrapped around her. She began to run.

She stopped at the entrance to Byte. She gazed at the sky for a moment and went inside.

"Daylynn, Daylynn, Daylynn?" the teacher was caller her but Daylynn wasn't paying attention. as usual, she was lost in her own little world, away from her nightmare of a life. "DAYLYNN!" the teacher near shouted. Daylynn was jurked out of her daydream and looked up at Sister Lesa. "Please pay attention. i don't want to call your mother, again."
"I'm sorry." Daylynn said. Sister Lesa went back to the lesson and Daylynn back to her dreaming, though she was a little more careful about it this time. she was back in the world of her rpging. she just come up with a new idea for a really exciting one. she would play a princess of corse. it would be a wonderful rp. the bell rang and all the students rushed to get their books together and head to the next class. "Don't forget about your homework" Sister Lesa called after them. "You especially, Daylynn." Daylynn could feel her face turning red and she heard a couple of people snicker. she just wanted to get home and to her pretios computer and her rp.s.

Jaryn looked around, Byte was empty exept for a tall guy in black "hello,. are you the guy with the game?" she asked looking at him curously.
the man nodded and then consulted his list, "which one are you?" he asked in a deep voice
"I'm Jaryn." she said simply.
"well. Jaryn, Take a seat we have to wait for the others."
Jaryn gave him and odd look and sat at a black mettalic tabel near the back of the room. and tok out a small book she had put in her bag a while ago.
The man turned to the girl who had just walked in "and you are?" he asked, again glancing down at his list.

Emma panted and caught her breath.
"Umm......i'm Emma",she replied nervously.
She gazed around Byte.

Jaryn sighed and pulled out her laptop and waited for it to log on. putting away her laptop.

Daylynn walked out into the hall and some jerk pushed her books out of her hands. She sighed and bend to pick them up. Her best and only friend Mia came to help. "Howdy." She said cheerily. "i'm so glad it's time to go home. wanna come to my house? we can work on that homework and my mom'll bake us something yummy." this was the way Mia talked. like everyone was four. Daylynn sighed again. "Sorry Mia, i'm going to Byte today. you could come if you want."
"No, that's okay." Mia said as they strolled out to the street and went their separate ways, "I'm not into that stuff, i'll see you tomorrow!"
Daylynn walked down the street to Byte. she stopped at the door and looked herself over. she felt like a fool going in there wearing her school uniform, but what could she do? she opened the door and walked in.

Daylynn sat as still as she could. she was completely confident in her writing abilities. if only she could convince herself that she was. she knew that none of the others could match her, but still she was nervous. she had to do something. she opened word documents and started to type. somehow, a story began to form on the screen. soon she was getting really into the story, but she stopped herself and closed it. she had to focuse on the game, not her silly random story.

the man sighed and cheked off the last two names "I think everyone's here," he said putting away the list and taking out a stack of CD's and putting one on each of the girl's tables. "download it and stop, I'll explain once each of you has gotten it downloaded."

Jaryn smirked and put the CD in watching the screen, agree, next, next, next. She watched it load and smiled, instead of the normal green dots it had runes "I thinnk I'm gonna like this game" she muttered ot herself looking around the room.

Lelu downloaded the game without shifting her eyes to look around, she kept them locked on the screen without even much of blinking.

The man heard the computers make a slight noise as they finished downloading, "okay open up the app, and make your chericter, make it what YOU would want to be, givit it the powers YOU want to have, then you may begin." he said looking around the room.

Jaryn smirked and quickly opened up the App. she smirked at the forboading music in her headphones. when the menue came up she typed her usall screen name Eternal_twilight. the nearly gasped the profile and looks was extremely detailed this was going to be fun. Race: vampire, easy. hair: long, raven black. build: tall lean, but musled. and so on, untill she had the perfect creature, next the harder ones. Powers ect. she stopped and looked around then back at her screen "I wonder," she muttered typing in the powers and skills.

Daylynn did as she was told. she made her character a dragon. the best kind, with a human and dragon forms. her character was a midnight blue dragon, female with three horns on her head. Her human form wore a military uniform, and had midnight blue hair and eyes, the color of her scales. she could fight with sword, bow, and throwing knives. she gave her healing powers. it just seemed like something a dragon would have. naturally she could breath fire and fly. she looked over her discription. one of her betters.

Jryn looked pleased and clicked Play, pulling on her dark gloves she clenched and un-clencehd her filst poising her fingers over the appropreate keys. sehe looked unblinkingly at teh screen, so far she was the first one in.

Daylynn clicked play and entered the game. there were already two girls playing. she looked around trying to figure out which ones where playing.

Jaryn grinned and typed 'you ready for this?' in the chatbox to the side of the screen that also held your vitals and other stats. She smiled pacefully as she let herself get absorbed in the game's world. waiting for the monsters to come.

^w^ good, I expect the first monster in 3, 2 she entered the text and then shure enough as if on cue a small demon came out of the forest area Living-in-twilight, smiled and threw a cross engraved dagger pircing the demon and causing it to burn. the chericter in the game smirked at almost exactly the same time the REAL Jaryn did. "awesome" she muttered.

another demon appeared and Sapphire_Shards heaved in and let out a long breath of flame toward the demon. then pulled out a long sword and sailed across the screen to spear the demn through the heart. the demon disappeared and Sapphire_Shards saluted and resheathed her blade. "This is so cool." Daylynn whispered under her breath. "I wish my real life was like this."

Daylynn/Sapphire_Shards, followed Jaryn's character into the woods. she was a little afraid of what she might find there, but she was confident she could handle it. here she was confident and strong. very unlike the real world.

Daylynns eyes widened as she watched the other characters katana tip burst into flames. that's cool she thought, this so beats rping. she shifted the screen to get a better look. the griffin was starting to descend. it's coming. she typed and Sapphire_Shards took a deep breath, waited until the griffin was a little bit closer, then let it out in a long snake of fire that wrapped itself around the creatures leg. this definitely beats rping.

Sapphire_Shards, sucked in the fire snake. she waited as the other character and the griffin landed in fron of her. what does it want? she typed. the griffin looked antsy to put it mildly.

it was amazing. she kept perfect pace with the girl in front of her. a demon flung it's self at Eternal_Twilight's head and she struck it down. Sapphire_Shards was impressed, a demon came at her too, she spat a little fire at it and left it to burn. she didn't feel like loosing any throwing knives. they ran on.

it was Daylynns turn to smirk, Shapphire_Shards doubled over and wings grew from her back. she jumped into the air and flapped her them, gainng altitued with each powerful press. she pushed herself forward and followed. she knew she would regrete half changing later, but she was in a hurry.

Sapphire_Shards followed the pendant for a long way before it began to desend. they had come to a mountain. the pendant flew into a cave. she would never fit in her dragon form. she landed on the ledge,get off. she typed.
