[Death's_Soul]

People have been going missing for over two years now. Not just one person, but hundreds. Thousands. The cops can't tell the world any thing and no one can explain it. Some say monsters, some crazed people, some say they killed them selves. But one girl lost her whole family to the "Missing Link". (The "Missing Link" is what they call the people leaving and what's taking them.) This girl is named Kyoko Hojuari. She lost her parents and older brother to this being.

Stubron and angry, this girl has swore to find out what is causeing the people to disappear. And swore to bring them back even if it ment loosing her life. This brave girl will be a companied by her friends, strangers, and loved ones to find the missing people and stop the world's population from dieing.

Will they make it?

Kyoko sat gloomily on a park bench. She held the small golden and silver locket she had gotten from parents. It had her brother and parent's picture in it and said, 'We love you. Even if we are apart you are never alone.' Kyoko sighed and blinked back tears.

Jaryn sat perched in a tall tree looking over the forest. she was looking for a wolf, she scanned the ground then lept down her steps unable to be heard.

Jasper sat unter a tree in the park his silver hair hanging slightly over his face as he sketched the park before him, he looked up and then back down, catching the girl out of the corner of his eye he erased a lottle then finished her hands srawing a small chain dangling from inbetween them and a sad look on the girl's face. he relized then it was Kyoko from school.

Kyoko sighed again and stood with a grunt. She put the locket around her neck and walked towards the forest by the park, which was apart of it. She bowed her head and let her hair fall down and over her face, a childish habbit she gained when she was sad, ashamed, hurt, or scared. She was all of the few feelings she ever felt since her parents left.

Kyoko saw the wolf body and smirked, "Stupid dog." She kicked it and as she moved her foot her black tail and hears formed. She hit the body with a thud and turned around sadly, her fighting spirtet broken. "Where are you...?" She asked softly taking the locket off and hugging it tightly. She walked off again then was blinded by tears. Sobbing she climbed a small tree and cried. They had only been gone for three days but she was breaking down already.

Avery had been sleeping soundly in a tree but heard sobbing not far away. He opened his eyes and glanced at a girl in a tree a little ways away.

Kyoko sighed and shook her head, flinging the tears away. Get a grip girl. You need to find them, soon. But where do I start? She cursed and slammed her fists into the tree next to her. "Damn you! Give back my family!" She screamed in anger.

Avery couldn't help but ask her,"Who?"

Kyoko jumped and jumped higher into the tree, her cat tail puffed up, "Holy **** you scared me. The Missing Link. He took my family." She held onto the tree tightly, hugging it or end up falling.

He chuckled dryly,"I tend to do that alot,"he sighed before continuing,"He took my family as well. Technically only my parents since my brother just took off in search of them."

Kyoko dropped from the tree silently and sighed, "He took them all. Every one. Not a family member left." She snarled and took her human form back. Long black hair spilled over her shoulders in motlen black pools once more. "I hate him. I'm going to find them all and bring them back......The bastard."

Avery sighed,"He is a bastard."
He leaped down from the tree. He walked over to her,"I don't think we've introduced ourselves, I'm Avery. I'll help you with taking him down."

Remi saw them talking and just decided to listen in.
"Hi, Kyoko, Avery." She said as she looked at each of them.

Kyoko nodded at the boy and said, "Kyoko. Why would I need help?" Then she turned to Remi, "You reak of heaven." She spat stepping back.

He turned to Remi then to Kyoko,"What do you mean by that?"

"Sorry, not like I chose this fate...of being heavenish!" Remi said repeating every word Kyoko said, knowing this because Kyoko always said this when they first meet.

"She's a fallen angle still smelling of heaven. I, on the other hand, am a demon. She reaks." Then she took another step back and said, "Fine. But keep out of my way and nobody, on my side, dies. And on full moon you are to keep away from me. Remi did you find any clues?"

"Oh. That explains it." Avery glanced at Kyoko,"Ok, I will."

Kyoko laughed softly, a sound that resembled a small bell, "Good. You need to know how to take orders from me right Remi? I'm the boss and what I says goes. Hum.....That sounds mean....Oh well best be blunt than dead." She smiled.

Several cats ran up to her and swam, in a figure of speak Emmers, around her legs meowing. She mumbled some thing and the broke off and Kyoko said over her shoulder, "Wait in the living room. I'll make us some tea." She walked off into the kitchen and sighed again, letting her hair fall over her face in her childish habbit.

"Can't help it. They come on their own." Kyoko muttered from the kitchen. She slammed a pot on the stove and then started to make some food too. She grabbed one of her good tea cups and dropped it, the blood on her hands making it slip. Frustrated she looked at the shattered peices and screamed. "Gah! Why does life have to be so ****ing hard?!" Then she kicked the shattered cup aside and made the tea putting it in the cups. She walked towards the living room and set the tea set down, then returned to the kitchen.

When she was done she had fish, tea, cookies, and honey cakes on the table where they where going to sit at. She fed the cats and ended up dropping another glass object. She spat out a string of curses that make the devil blush. Then as a last thought went and took her shoes off at the door. "Take your shoes off and come sit down." She whispered softly. All the while she was cooking and fixing, she had still held the locket, as it was making her bleed deeply.

Avery took of his shoes and walked over. He sat down and noticed her hand was bleeding because she appeared to be holding some,"Hey what are you gripping so tightly, it's making you bleed."

Remi did as Avery had done, "She is holding the loket...like always." Remi said lookin g at Kyoko.

Kyoko, until Avery had said it, hadn't felt the pain until he pointed it out. She lookd down and gasped. "Nooo! My locket!" She cried and jerked it from the cut with a sickening pop. She hissed in pain and started to rub the blood off with her shirt. "Nooo! Mom, Dad, Chaiki, I'll save you. I promise!" She choked back tears and rubbed the locket free of blood.

Averi leaned back,"Oh."

Kyoko growled and took in a deep breath struggling to keep her temper under control. "Not 'oh' this is importaint to me!" Then when the blood was wipped off she rubbed it against her cheek. "It's worth every thing to me." Even as she held it she smeared more blood on it with her bleeding hand. She wipped the locket clean irretablly. "Stupid blood." I don't think she noticed the blood came from her hand.

"I know I was replying 'Oh' to Remi. I can tell it's very importent."
His eyes fell apon the cut on her hand,"You should fix up your hand so don't get an infection."

Kyoko looke at her hand darkly. "It'll wait. Drink the tea before it get's cold. I'll be right back." She smiled slightly and ran into her room. She put the locket in water, dried it off perfectly so it would not rust and put it in her glass box. She smiled at it fondly then wipped tears away with the heel of her hand. She covered her face and began to cry, again. "Damn, why am I so broken up?" She asked softly.

Kyoko wipped her eyes and locked the glass case. She let her glamor drop and the human look vanished. Her long hair grew even longer, her black hair formed cat ears, and a black cat tail swished out from her pants. She sniffed and returned to the living room. She sat and the cats crawled all over her. Kyoko giggled as one climbed abord her shoulders. A few wandered over to the guests and sat in their laps while most climbed over Kyoko trying to get comfy. Kyoko, trully happily, laughed and stroked ones ear as he struggled to get into her crowded lap.

Avery smirked at what the cats were doing to her then laughed. He started to stroke one that had ventured up onto his lap.

Kyoko smiled at him then looked at Remi who was watching silently. Then back to Avery. "This is my only family now. They come and breed like rabbits. I hate to send them away, they behave and keep me company on dark and stormy nights. I can talk to them you know." She giggled and shook her head. One kitten tailing her tail and another attacking Kyoko's hair that moved while she shook her head. "I love them all."

Avery smiled,"I stay out in the forest most of the time. That was ever since my brother deserted me."

Kyoko nodded, "I work." She shooed the cats off and they attacked Remi and Avery with their wants of pets. Kyoko held one small fluffy, black cat with a white chest, kitten in her lap as it slept. "Do you have a house?"

Avery laughed as they attacked him. He continued to pet the one that had been in his lap before though,"Yeah I do."

[Death's_Soul]

"Ya sure. I have seven bed rooms. Well no six. Because Remi was moving in right? It was so we could look out for each other incase the thing comes back to take us. Right Remi?" She sighed and took a bite of fish.

'Where is that girl. Damn.' She sighed as she walked through a forest when she saw a dead wolf corspe. She touchs it and smells two different scents. One was a vampire the other smelled lie a cat, 'Found her scent finally.' Leah transformed into a wolf and followed it to the where she was at.

Kyoko groaned when some one knocked on the door and struggled to keep her temper. "Alright, wolf girl's here. I hate dogs." She stood weakly and the cats jumped off of her in waves. Her neko like tail was puffed up and she walked into the front room. Remi was standing wings around her shoulders, as she was asked because she ended up braking things if she didn't, and Leah stood by the door akwardly. "Hey Wolfy. Find any clues?" The usally kind cats stayed away from Leah and stared at her darkly. The kitten Kyoko had been holding was wet and fur matted with Kyoko's blood, but he didn't mind. Kyoko smiled at Leah and said, "Hey. I made some tea. Come on." She led the two girls into the living room and sat down next to Avery. "Do you guys wants any thing?" She asked, trying her best to sound cheerful and play her part as hostest.

"Thanks Remi. Next time tell me where the house is." Leah walks in and sees the shoes. She slips off her boots and waits to be invited in further.
"I did!.....I think." Remi said trailing off in thought.

Power(s): lightning, minimal healing, clarvoiance (sees things that others can't, whether they're close or far away), and sometimes can make a few sparks of fire appear but it drains her energy. Lightning is just much easier.
Weapon(s): Long sword strapped across her back, quite a few knives that she keeps hidden in provacative places that decent people would never try to search, and her magic.

Knowing Raven he'd sit back and watch until Mieyumi and I where at each other's throats, then brake us up. A good guy."

She smirked and was lost in thought then shook her head. "Okay any questions? Don't ask any because I've babbled enough. I just hope Mieyumi'll find us. We'll meet at the usale spot, the park and we'll go out to eat. I've got an advanse so we'll be eating nice tonight. Then," She groaned and stomped her foot. "GAH! I have so much to do! Whatever let's go." She stalked off into the west mumbling stuff like, "First I have to do kitty litter, buy some new litter, get more food, study for collage, clean the house, do the bills, work my pay check out, and do this freaking thing! LIFE IS SO HARD!" Then she was at a steady march away still growling. "And tomorrow night's the full moon.....Damn. I need to fix the chain and cage....." She trailed off sadly.

Avery had appeared behind them and was walking silently so they didn't know he was there till he chuckled and replied to Kyoko,"Got a few problems?"

Kyoko screamed and dashed up towards a tree, as she did a large ball of darkness whirled from her body and glided into her hand ready to use. She climbed the tree and looked down. She looked at Raven then at Avery. "I HATE YOU! Yes I have a problem! YOU!" Her eyes grew a light red and her claws grew larger then they normally where. "I swear next person to do that is going to be hit, I don't care who or what it is. Next person to sneak up on me is going to get it.....BAD!" She jumped from the tree, did a spin just for kicks, and landed perfectly and silently. She hissed at Avery and glared at Raven. "Men are evil...." Then she turned around and stalked off glancing over her shoulder every now and then, worried.

He smirked then chuckled,"What can I say? Being silent is one of my....talents."

"Blah, blah! Being annoying must be one too." Kyoko muttered as she reached the edge of the forest. She sighed and whispered spirdery words. The neko tail and ears disappeared with a flash and the only way to tell she wasn't human was by her cat like pupials, and red color. She smiled at the men and dashed off bearly missing a honking car. She didn't seem to notice.

Avery ran after her. He dodged the cars with ease as he pursued her.

Kyoko dodged people, cars, and many angry punches. She cursed back at people cursing her and stopped infront of an old house. "First stop, the first person ever taken." She stopped, hips ****ed, and waited for the men to reach her.

Avery quickly arrived and looked over the house. He looked quickly but caught each detail of it.

Kyoko smirked and waited for Raven. "Man. I hate cars. They want to run me over!" She muttered darkly, crossing her arms to pout.

Meiyumi snorted in amusement as she watched her friend, looking like a mere speck, dance around cars to get to the house. "Haha." She murmured from her spot on the tree branch.

Kyoko watched as the door opened and she smiled kindly. An old woman looked at her sadly, "What can I do for ye, kind people?"

Kyoko bowed and said, "Ma'am we'd like some answers from you if you'd so kindly tell us about the person that went missing in your home. He all lost someone and we wish to find as many clues as possiable. Please, do you have the time to spare?"

The old woman nodded and opened the door wider. "Yes child, please come in. I'll make us all some tea and cakes." Kyoko smiled and bowed again, "Thank you Ma'am."

"Call me Elma. Come in, come in." She waddled away as she clutched her cain.

Kyoko moved her arms letting Avery go first and waited for Raven, the ever distaint one, walk up the stairs to the house. As Avery passed she whispered at him, "I think Raven hurt himself." She giggled and waited for her friend.

Avery smirked but held back a laugh as Kyoko murmured in his ar. He walked inside and waited for the others.

Kyoko smiled and patted his arm, "It's okay." She walked inside at his side. Elma shooed them into the living room while she made tea, Kyoko offered to send Avery (*snicker*) in to help but she objected, "Got to get these old bones into shape!" She muttered.

Kyoko sat silently on the floor which she perfured so much more than any bed or couch. "Hey, Ray, what's on your mind? I almost never see you like this."

Avery casted a glare at Kyoko when she made the offer. He then sat down on the nearest couch.

Raven sighed and smiled slightly. "I'll talk to you about it later, ok?" he told her gently. He leaned against a wall and crossed his arms. If Raven's wings were present, they would be wrapping around him in a warm embrace. However, since they were not present, he simply stood there, his eyes closed.

Kyoko was deeply consurned over the wellfare of her close friend and she blinked. She about to open her mouth when Elma entered. Kyoko helped her set the tea and sat down on the floor. Kyoko sturred her tea but drank none of it.

"Tell us about your son. He was taken, no?"

Elma looked at Kyoko sadly and spoke, tears glinting her eyes, "My sons name was Bob, (HA!) he was a worker for the US Navy. He was a half breed of a demon wolf and dog, me being the wolf and his father the dog. He was around 28 in human years and demon 213. He was taken on the day of my birthday, two and a half years ago. He screamed and I ran into the room to see a bright flash of light and he was gone. Nothing left." She whimpered and shook her head. Kyoko patted her back and the old, proud woman, regained her compuser. "Alright that is all I can tell you. Please drink your tea."

Kyoko looked at her tea then took a small sip. She stood and bowed respectfully. "I'm sorry, we have to go. I will find your son, I swear it." Then she whirled on her heels and marched towards the door. She opened it and dashed outside and leaned against the railing, face turned sky ward and eyes closed, chest heavying as if she had run a race.

Avery listned to the woman's story and nodded in respect. He took a sip of his tea and stood. He bid farewell to the woman then followed Kyoko.

Meiyumi leaned against the base of the tree, having lost track of Remi. although, it didn't really seem accidental. 'Whoops. Hope she knows the way home,' she thought dryly, standing up and brushing off her pants. She shoved her hands in her pockets and started strolling around randomnly, not quite wanting to go home yet.

Raven sighed and smiled reassuringly at the old woman. "Thank you, Madame. Your assistance was greatly appreciate. Have a good night, and try to rest easily." he told the elderly woman politely. Raven walked outside then strided over to Kyoko. "You alright, hu-..." he stopped himself and shook his head. "You alright?" he asked.

I wonder if I should tell...I would hate to go into this thing, risking my life, not expressing what I've felt all of these years. He thought to himself.

Raven messaged one of his temples and released a light sigh. He had a terrible headache now.

Kyoko, blinked and looked up at him. "Oh what?" She turned away and started to walk slowly. She ran her hands over her eyes quickly. "Fine. Hey let's go get take out. On you! HA!"

Meiyumi yawned lightly as dusk began to fall. "Lovely...," she murmured at the sight, although she wasn't being sarcastic as she usually was when she said it. She stopped and stared in awe at the sky. 'Ayame would have been over-joyed to see this....,' she thought guiltily, tears springing to her eyes. She hastily wiped her eyes and started to walk on.

When Raven didn't answer she sighed and walked down the street slowly. Her hair swayed from side to side and she struggled to keep a blank face. She walked until she came to a take thingy and ordered what she knew everyone would like. Turns out she had just enough cash to feed them all. She groaned, took the bags, and struggled across the street and towards the house, holding the four bags tightly. She groaned in effort with each step and finally reached the woods. She smiled and walked on towards the house.

Meiyumi locked her door and sat on her bed, hugging her knees to her chest. 'I should have been looking for her this entire time yet...all I've been doing is having fun and making friends.' Tears stung her eyes as she tried to swallow the lump in her throat. 'How could I? She could be anywhere...suffering....bleeding...DIEING. I'm a terrible sister...' She chuckled mirthlessly. "Hell,...I'm a horrible person. Not just sister......"

Kyoko slammed into the house and dumped the food bags onto the table. "Mieyumi, quiet your crying and come eat. We've all lost someone so shuttup." She spat then stalked outside and sat on the pourch steps struggling not to cry as Mieyumi did.

I can't think straight and I mad at this thing for taking my family. So please come out and eat, you'll need your strangth to help find your sister. Meiyumi sighed and rolled to look at the door. She knew it was an absolute, earth shattering miracle, a world-was-coming-to-an-end-apocolyptic-sign, that Kyoko was apologizing, but she just couldn't bring herself to care. She felt too guilty. She sighed again and forced her body to get up and start walking downstairs.

Kyoko heard the movment of Mieyumi and smiled sadly. She walked outside, in bear feet, and started to job, aimlessly, but jogged. She rounded a corner and kept running, trying to clear her head.

Raven needed to think, thus he had gone off somewhere in the woods. "I need training to clear my head..." he told himself. Raven's garments flapped and waved as a mysterious force came from his bodys, soon forming two, raven-like wings. Floating orbs of light and darkness suddenly appeared and began to zip around the area. "Target practice..." In a quick blur of motion, Raven had twirled out the Genesis and Oblivion firearms. The angel demon began to rapidly and inhumanly fired shots from the modified guns and hit the orbs dead on, causing small explosions.

Remi walked back to the houe and saw that there was food on the table "FOOD!"Remi yelled.

Kyoko padded around the woods and stayed clear away from the loud sounds of guns. She hated loud sounds and feared them greatly, along with water. She ran across a medow then heard a twig snap she looked over her shoulder and frowned. Nothing. Then she ran right into something warm and hard. She groaned and stepped back holded her head. "Oooowww!" She spat.

A loud booming voice laughed and a large hand grabbed her shoulder, "Hey now, baby, I know I'm nice and all but you need to wait for me to take my cloths off first."

Kyoko blinked and shrugged his hand off. "Excuse me?"

"Screw me if I'm wrong, but we've meet before....Right?" He said.

Kyoko growled and walked around him. "Go away."

"What? No wait, man! Don't tell me what to do!" He grabbed her wrists and jerked her close. "You've got a temper. I lik tempers."

Kyoko snorted and her eyes blazed golden, "Then get your own!"

The man snarled and snapped her across the cheek. Kyoko stumbled back holding her swelling cheek and felt dizzy. The man stepped closed and raised his hand to slap her again but she snarled and let her human looks fall.

In seconds she found herself standing infront of bloody mass of flesh, the mans face unable to be seen under all the blood and torn flesh. Her mouth tasted of blood, her hands where soked in it, and she was dizzy. Panicked she stepped back and stared at the fleshy pulp of what was left of the man. She choked back a scream and ran head long into the forest.

Mieyumi winced when Remi yelled but walked in anyway. She sat down and silently started to fill a plate to take back up to her room.

Raven continued his target practice. "I never get rusty. Being inhuman is so wonderful." he told himself with a smirk. Suddenly, his sensitive ears picked up the sound of frantic footsteps. The feathers that clad his wings in soft black shook barely as they caught the vibrations. "What..?" He walked a bit out of the clearing he was in and saw a bloody Kyoko running straight towards him. "K-Kyoko?!?!" he shouted in fear. He was not afraid for himself...but for the bloodied girl running towards him.

Meiyumi slowly walked up to her room, plate in hand along with some chop sticks. She bumped open the door with her hip then closed it the same way. She sighed and sat down at her desk, starting to eat quietly.

Kyoko blinked and looked at Raven. Afraid her control was too loose she jerked to the right, rolled along the ground, and jumped to her feet. She spat blood from the man and her out of her mouth and ran, almost a blurr. No, no, no, no, no, no, no! I killed. I killed again! She screamed in her mind. I killed another person! I can't keep going this! Third one! THIRD! She thought as hot tears rolled down her swollen cheek painfully.

[Phantasm]

Raven glared. "Oh no you don't..." He stepped back and vanished in a dark, purple blur. Soon, he stepped forward in front of Kyoko and wrapped his arms around her tightly. "Kyoko...don't run anymore." he whispered to her, not afraid of what she might try to do. He didn't care about the blood, for Raven had dealt with enough of the crimson liquid in his lifetime. "It's time to fight it, and you won't fight this battle alone. I'll fight it with you. We'll conquer it together..." he continued to whisper to her. Even if she did go berserk on him, Raven was more than capable of handling himself.

Kyoko snarled and bit his arm and kicked wildly, while her mouth was clamed onto his arm. She stopped moving as he spoke, every word he said made her feel better, safer. She blinked and the red receded slowly. Like life ebbing away from a body. She stilled, her mouth still on his arm, and looked up at him, only moving her eyes. Her fisted hands relaxed and she pulled her long teeth from his arm. Sobbing she rubbed his wounded arm to her cheek and kissed it. "Oh God.....Oh God.....I'm so sorry.....Oh......So....Sorry..." She whispered through her racking sobs. She jerked at her shirt and wipped the blood from his arm tenderly. "So.....Sorry." No matter how hard she tried, no matter where she looked, she saw blood. On her hands, in my mouth, running down from her arms, Raven's arm, her lips, her bear feet, along her body from where stay limbs had cut her. She hated this and cursed her father for this every day. Now she was suffering again and attacking some one very dear to her. She had killed as well. She was like this a lot now, killing people way to often and too many. She pressed her cheek to his arm and sobbed softly.

[Phantasm]

Raven seemed to not be phased when Kyoko tore into his arm. He noticed that what he said clearly had an affect on her. Raven pulled her close to him, as close as she could get. "Shh...it's alright." he whispered to her. Raven's strong arms remained around her as if being Kyoko's shield. The blood still didn't phase him, though it was now all over his clothes. "It's going to be alright." he continued to whisper to her. Raven's great wings then wrapped themselves around Kyoko as well. Raven's blue hair waved slightly in a gentle breeze he had summoned to try an calm things down.

Kyoko's sobs silanced and only hot tears rolled down her eyes. She stared blankly into the forest, her body stiff and ridged. Then as the wind came, she very slowly grew less tense until if Raven hadn't been holding her, she had crumbled to the floor. She looked at his face sadly and wipped her mouth on her arm. She needed to talk, or she'd loose it again. "Rav-Raven......What....What was the m-matter eairler?" Then slowly she rapped her arms around him and rubbed her swollen cheek to his chest. She pressed her forehead to his chest and let more hot fat tears roll down her cheeks.

[Phantasm]

Raven sighed and began to gently massage her back. Luckily, he was excellent at massages. "I was just worried about you and needed to think things over. I've finally cleared my head now; however, that's not important right now." he whispered soothingly. Raven rested his chin on the top of Kyoko's head and inhaled a silent breath. "Don't worry about anything right now...just relax. Allow your nerves to calm down." he said softly, continuing to massage Kyoko's stiff back.

Kyoko blinked. Why the hell would he be worried about me?! I'm perfectly-She stopped and looked at her blooded hands. Oh. Right. Not okay. Stupid man. Why is he holding me? She thought darkly. She tilted her head and her shoulders sagged. "You can let me go now." She whispered softly.

Raven sighed and looked down at her sadly. "I'm...actually scared to let you go." he said in a sad tone. He shook his head and Raven's wings removed themselves from around Kyoko. However, his arms still remained. Was he really frightened to let go of her...? "I keep thiniking that..." he trailed off and sighed, shaking his head again.

Kyoko's temper flared again. She stiffened and her jaw set. "Thinking what? I'd hurt some one else? I'd get hurt? I'd die? Come on. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself. I know how to fight and I'm not a sissy! Raven, this is not like you to be like this. So please, let me go. The......." She choked back a whimper. She glupped. "The....ah...b-body...is still out there. I need to do some thing with it." Her tail swished angrilly and her ears where pulled back towards her head.

"No...I was thinking of how devestated I'd be to lose the only I have left and care about in this world." he said in a truly sad tone. "I'll get rid of the body...just go home." he told her softly, turning away from Kyoko and allowing his hair to cast a dark shadow over his eyes. "That is...if you even care anymore." he said quietly. Raven then began to walk away from her, his eyes still eclipsed by the shadow.

Kyoko watched him walk away. She glared at his back and snorted put her hands on her hips. She whirled around and stalked away as he words rang in her ears. .....how devestated I'd be to lose the only I have left and care about in this world.......... She groaned and stopped by a brook and washed her hands and body off of the blood. The small brook turned red until the bloody water was washed away. She sat down and thought. She does care. She cares for him a lot. Why does he think she doesn't. She sighed and stood. "Stupid man." She whispered. She puled her hair into a pony tail and ran towards the body. In the moonlight the blood looked black. She grimanced and looked around for Raven. Ha! She beat him to it. She stepped away from the body and felt her stomach twist in a knot. She climbed a tree by the corpse and waited for Raven to come.

Raven continued to walk in silence. He finally reached the corpse. His eyes became visible as they peered upon the mangled, torn body. Raven's golden eyes shined in the glistening light emminating from his ebony wings. "Disposal is simple.." he whispered to himself. Raven walked closer to the body, examining it. He simply looked at it, no disgust in his features at all. "What they did to my family was a hundred times worse than this..." he whispered to himself once more.

Kyoko was ready to jump on his back and pull his hair when she heard him speak. She jumped from the tree silently and sighed, "It could get worse, Ray. Much worse. I do care okay? I've just got.......a lot on my mind. Dinner's cold and I paid a zillion dollars for it so hurry up, get rid of the thing, and let's go eat." She stepped closer to him and looked at his wounded arm sadly.

Remi ate her food fastly and saw that every one was looking at her. "heh" Remi said embarassed

(Hi! I'm back! Also I''m really bored so I'm going to write alot because ah what's it called......Um.....Oh yeah. I'm at my mom's office and I'm on her computer with nothing else to do. So yeah. I'm bored. Thanks to the stock show we don't have school Friday, today, right Soul? Heh. Any ways. Away I goooooo! Ignore that...)

Kyoko looked at the body and shivered. "Raven....I've known you for most of my life and all but....What....What did happen to your parents? Who killed them?" She looked away from the body and blinked back tears of anger. She looked at him, her stuborn streak setting in and making her jaw clamp in pride. "Can I help? Do you want any? I won't get in the way, I proimse! I want to help you likwe you are helping me! Can you tell me every thing? Have you already killed the person!? Gah! I hate humans!" She spat and covered her face with her hands. For part of it so she won't see his blank face, the glassy eyes of the corpse, the mouth open to scream, but never would. But mostly she covered her face so she couldn't smell the blood. The blood that made her heart pound, her skin crawl, her mouth water and her knees trimble.


"Ray, move the body. Please." Kyoko voice was shakily, unsure. She crouched down and looked at the staring eyes, looking for the last time at the moon he'd never see. She groaned and closed his eyes. "I'm sorry..." She whispered. She looked at the blood sperting from his stomach. She licked her lips weakly and stepped back, bear feet making no noise in the dead grass.

The smell of the blood made her want to let her control loose and reek death across the city and hunt her fill. She was going to loose control soon and she needed to make sure her cage spell was still working, along with all the other half breeds in the group. The first few hours she'd have no control but then after that she'd be able to calmly walk around in her demon form then when the moon went down she'd loose control again then after that she'd be to weak to do any thing else.

"H-Hey.....Ray.....Ah....I gonna g-go check the um......H-house...Do work and stuff. Please remove the body. I'll wait for you there." She turned and ran for the house quickly. "Oh and I'm sorry I was being rude. You can punish me latter! See you in a bit! Bye!" She waved quickly and disappeared into the forest headed for the house.

[Phantasm]

Raven stared at the ground sadly. He was about to answer Kyoko's rapid questions, but the girl had already run off. "If only you would allow me to fight it with you...If only you would just trust me." he whispered to himself.

Raven knelt down next to the body. Acting upon his more angelic instincts, he rested the mangled corpse within his arms as an angel would hold a dieing human. "The intoxication is what invoked you to do such a thing as anger her..." he whispered to the dead body as if speaking to a lingering soul. His wings rested limply against the grpund, their feathers spreading beautifully over the grass. Raven moved one of his fingers across the body's chest, drawing a cross of blood. "May your soul rest in peace. May you finally find greater comfort than this world could ever give you. Goodbye..." he whispered to the body, his golden eyes closed.

After the prayer-like words escaped his lips, the body slowly began to decompose in glowing whisps. When an angel bidded a body and soul farewell, the human's body would disappear along with the soul as glowing streams and whisps. An angel's disappeared as light, glowing feathers of any color, but a demon's would always vanish as black, glowing feathers.

Raven stood to his feet after the body and soul had left his presence. Tears were streaming down his cheeks, for it brought enormous sorrow to an angel, or in this case a half-angel, to bid any being the eternal farewell. Raven opened his eyes, showing the sadness full force. He looked up to the starry, night sky with grieving eyes. "Be glad you have finally escaped this world..."

[Death's_Soul]

Kyoko dashed inside the house and looked around. "Okay all half demons better'd have their spell cage ready or they're going to get it." She spat. She raced up stairs to her room and looked under her bed. She pulled out some box and whirled around and raced into the basement. She left little bloody foot prints as she walked. She drew a large pentagram on the ground with chalk and linned it with gold string. She muttered to herself as she did. "Then I have to do the dishes, sweep, mop, clean the freaking bathroom, do my collage homework..." She kept muttering to herself as she fixed the pentagram. She pressed one small foot in the middle of it and smiled, "Ready." Then she put the chalk down and walked back up stairs.

She washed her feet off and the small cuts on her cheek, she cleaned. She looked at her swollen cheek and flinched. "Bastard, got what was coming." Then she put bandaids on each cut and ran outside, ignoring her food. She sat on the pourch and waited for Raven to return.

[Phantasm]

The tears continued to rain from Raven's golden eyes. He walked off towards the house, his great wings embracing him comfortingly. Even the soft feeling of his feathery appendages did not ease the pain or sorrow. Raven could still feel all of the supernatural energies graceful flowing through him. The same energies that allowed him to issue a being's final departure.

Raven saw the house in view, but he walked towards it with no words. The tears continued flowing, and a melancholy breeze gently danced through the area as if moving to a graceful, sad tune.

Kyoko sighed and put her arms on her knees and rested her chin on her arms. She waited for Raven wondering if she'd pissed him off, or upset him. She sighed and started to sing softly, some thing that calmed her down a lot.

[Phantasm]

Raven walked up to the porch. His eyes looked to the ground, almost as if he was completely in a trance. The man spoke nothing and stopped moving. Raven just stood there with entranced eyes.

[Death's_Soul]

Kyoko kept singing until he was on the pourch. She jumped slightly then looked up at him. "Raven...." She looked up at him worried, bitting her bottom lip. "I'm sorry....I had never ment.....To....Kill him...I didn't even know I was doing it until he......screamed." She stood and looked at his back. ".....I can't change what I am....I kill....I just can't help it. Okay? I'll say I'm sorry a hundred times over but it will never bring him back." She whispered softly.

[Phantasm]

Raven still gazed at the ground. "That isn't even it..." he said softly. "You don't know what it's like...you don't know how it feels to do what I have just done. You will never understand the sacrifice of angels." he told her softly. Raven turned around as if about to walk off again. "And I thank the heavens that you never will..."

[Death's_Soul]

Kyoko stepped back and shook her head, "Your right! I don't understand! You may put them to rest, but think. Your not making them suffer. I kill them. I watch as they are...." She stumbled over her words and clenched her fists. "...They are....Impailed. Just a simple swip of my hand-er claw and their dead. The wind would kill them if not then my claws would. I eat them, I kill the young, the old, women, men, children, I kill every thing. You put them to rest.

"I look at evil people and think, "They should die." But when I look at myself I think the same thing. I'm nothing differant than the murders on the news. Other than I kill much more and a lot faster, and for the ****ing hell of it. You don't know what it's like. My place could be worse, your place could be worse. It could always get worse Raven. Always. So you need to take what life throws at you and not pity those that die. Because sooner or later if you stick with me, you'll die to. No matter how strong you are because I might not kill you but some thing hunting me will. I can't control it, Raven. It hurts to watch the people die at my hands. You save them, luckily there are still people in this world who care. You." She stumbled off the deck and away from arm's reach.

"I'm so sorry but....Have...." She stumbled over her words sadly.

"Have you ever turned into a kill monster and not be able to stop yourself from killing your loved ones? Your family? Friends? I killed my last....boy friend. He tried to save me. I killed him. He hated me as he watched me, helplessly slice him to ribbions.

"I have never been the same since that day, I have never loved another person. Until I met you....." Kyoko looked at him hopping he knew what she meant. She closed her eyes and bowed her head shamfully. "Go ahead and hit me. I don't care. I deseve it any ways."

[Phantasm]

Raven kept his back to Kyoko. "Kyoko...you barely know of the things I have done. Perhaps the most righteous of my deeds is releasing their souls into eternity." he said softly. "You forget that I'm only half angel..." he trailed off.

"Putting someone to rest is far worse than slaughtering an entire city and devouring them." he said darkly. "Even releasing a pure soul is horrible. However...bidding farewell to a soul condemned to eternal damnation is undescribable." Raven spun around and glared at Kyoko, the wind suddenly picking up to great speeds. "So don't you dare compare what I do to killing others. Because placing a soul to rest is far worse than murdering another person!" he said sternly, the wind whistling as if expressing what he felt.

"And you have no right to tell me that I'll die! I've faced far worse than you, Kyoko...it hasn't killed me yet." he trailed off. "Heh...if I were to die, I'd have it be by your hands anyways."

The wind slowly died down, transforming into a gentle current. "No...I will not hit you. I will never hit you. Why you might ask? It's simple. I won't hit you because..." he trailed off. "Because I love you."

[Death's_Soul]

When the wind picked up Kyoko stepped back, crouching, ready for a fight. "I not going to fight over what's worse. It's stupid. There both bad so shut up!" She felt hurt when he had yelled at her and felt like running away, but she didn't. She waited for what he had to say.

When he said he wouldn't hit her she sighed and stood up right but stepped back any ways. But when he told her why...

Her eyes widdened and she stared at him. She clenched and unclenched her fists and bowed her head. She sighed and closed her eyes letting her shoulders slouch. "H-how.....You....Seem so angry at me all the time...I yell at you a lot....What's there to love about me? I'm not even.....humanish. I turn into....a thing every moon and you can still love me?" She looked up at him and smiled weakly. "You stupid brave man...." Her voice choked and she shook her head struggling not to cry.

[Phantasm]

Raven slowly walked up to her. "Does it honestly look like I care about what you are or do?" he stated gently. "I don't care about any of that, Kyoko." he told her gently. Raven wrapped his arms around Kyoko in a gentle, loving embrace. "I'm a stupid brave man who loves you." he whispered to her.

[Death's_Soul]

Kyoko looked up at him and searched his eyes. No, he wasn't joking. She trimbled at his touch and hugged him back tightly. "Thank you....For excepting me as I am."

[Phantasm]

Raven gave her one of his usual, small smiles. "I wouldn't except anything more or less from you." he told her quietly. "I love you for you. That will never change." He kissed her forhead and smiled. "I've been meaning to tell you those things, but I don't know why it never got out. Oh well, it is now, and I deffinitely don't regret saying I love you."

[Death's_Soul]

Kyoko looked up at him and smiled. She rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes. "I feel so lost, Raven....So lost."

[Phantasm]

Raven stroked the back of her head gently and tilted his head. "Don't lose yourself, but if you do, I'll be here to find you." he whispered to her. "No matter where you are, I'll find you."

[Death's_Soul]

Kyoko took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She didn't know what to say, she'd never had some one talk to her like this. The only thing that came out of her stupid mouth was, "If my brother could see me now." She blinked and the idea of never seeing him hit her. She choked and tears rolled down her cheeks. She sniffed and wipped her eyes and looked back up at Raven's kind face. She closed her eyes and pressed her lips to his softly and rapped her arms around his neck slowly.

Meiyumi sighed as she dumped her uneaten food in her trash before Kyoto got home. She knew she'd be pissed because she 'Wasted' something, but she didn't really care.

[Phantasm]

Raven wrapped his arms around her waist. He returned the kiss passionately. He slowly pulled away and smiled at her. Raven pressed a hand gently to one of Kyoko's cheeks. "Don't cry...It'll all be fine." he told her gently.

Kyoko put her arms to her side and grabbed his hand, "Come on before you get a cold." She smiled and walked toward the door.
