When she stepped out again, her hair was now dry. Amazingly, her black socks with red cherries hadn't gotten wet, but her shoes were. She smiled softly at Chris.

"Hey uh... About what I am...... ITs kinda hard to explain.... Im a mix of a Demon and Death angel..... Weird huh?... A hlafbreed sort of." he said and smiled half.

"Where are you going to stay?" He asked. From the phone conversation, he heard that her house had burned down, but that was all he heard.

Tai blinked and looked over at Amy. "What did you just say?" he hadn't been paying attention at all.

Tai bit the inside of his cheek. He really didn't have a problem with her staying with them, he just didn't know how Snow would react to it. She really didn't take to other people outside of family living with her and her brother. That's just how she was.

Snow stared down at the table in a blind sort of way. Her ears drooped down like they did when she began thinking. The sounds in the house faded away as she lost herself in her thoughts. Her thoughts were often filled with images, formed by past events that had happened in her life.

When Snow was born, she was shunned for being a “half-breed”. Her mother, a beautiful neko demon named Sakura, and her father, a human named Mark. She grew up only having her mother since her father stayed with her older brother Tai and his mother. When Snow was only seven, her mother passed away, leaving Snow to live with her father and step-mother. Sure she loved being able to see her older brother more than once every two weeks, but living in that household was hell.

Mirei, Tai’s mother, hated the thought of a “half-breed” in her home. When Snow’s father left, Mirei would lock her in a different room away from her brother. There, she would stay until her father returned, finding his daughter crying in the arms of her brother.

When Snow and Tai became even closer, they decided to move out of the house they shared with Mark and Mirei. They bought a small apartment, just for the two of them. Because they both were pretty much broke and needed to pay rent, they both decided to get jobs at a local club. Tai always wanted to be a disk jockey so he spent his time in his room, spinning records and mixing them.

In Snow’s case, the art of bartending captivated her. She loved the way people would mix drinks and decided she wanted to do that also. An old friend of hers, one who actually liked her for being her, taught her in secret how to mix the many drinks she made at the club. So when she applied for the job a few weeks after Tai, she was extremely happy when she got the job.

As the images flooded through her mind, Snow began thinking of how much she and Tai differed from each other, look wise. Snow had long, flowing, purplish colored hair while Tai’s was a darker purple. Sure, his hair was long as well, but compared to his sister’s, it was short. Both of their eyes were in the red family, Tai’s being a lighter color that his sister’s bright red orbs. Like most nekos, Snow had cat ears, which Tai did not.

Enough thinking Snow! she thought to herself. You’ll give yourself a headache!

Tai left the club, not bothering to say goodbye to Amy. It was still raining as he walked home slowly, but he didn’t mind the rain; he liked it actually. The rain matted his purple hair down some and he was getting drenched. Still, his pace was slow. Much like his sister, he began thinking about his past.

He had an okay childhood. Since he had a different mother than Snow and their father decided to stay with them, he grew up with both of his parents. He always got to see his little sister once every two weeks, but that wasn’t enough. Most of the time, the visits were short; only around five hours long, not nearly enough time for them to play.

It stayed that way until Tai turned nine. He had been in his room when his father walked in, holding the hand of his seven year old sibling. Tai had been confused at first, wondering why Snow was there when it wasn’t time for their visit. In a slightly saddened way, his father explained that Sakura, Snow’s mother, had passed away, leaving the seven year old alone in their old house. Tai remembered that he had gotten up and hugged the breath from his sister, overjoyed that she would know be living with them.

Having his sister around made his life a little more fun. They got to see each other everyday and they hung out more. He hated it on the days when Mirei would lock her in a room, not allowing him to let her out. When their father returned home from work, he would often see his son holding his crying little sister. They always kept what happened when he left a secret so an argument wouldn’t arise between them.

Soon, as they grew older, Tai and Snow were the closest family members they knew. They were always there for one another and they supported one another. When Tai suggested that they leave the home their shared with their father and Mirei and buy an apartment, she instantly agreed. They moved that next weekend after renting their very first apartment.

As they lived in the apartment, they realized that they needed money to pay for their rent and other things they would need to survive. So both found a job at the club where they work presently. Tai’s interview came first, then Snow’s. Tai was happy when they both got the jobs they wanted. He was also pretty happy that they worked in the same place so he could keep an eye on her.

Without realizing it, Tai was at his front door, unlocking it. He stepped in the dark apartment, surprised to see that his sister wasn’t there already. He turned on the light and cut on the heater to warm up the house some. I wonder where my sister is…

A young, blue haired male leaned against an abandoned building, waiting for his partner to arrive. His serious blue eyes were to his scuffed black tennis shoes and his hands were shoved into the pockets of his black jacket.

His name was Yuki Kazashimo. He was a full demon and a hateful one at that. He didn’t have the best childhood; his parents were slaughtered right in front of his, adding to his cold demeanor. Other than that, he watched destruction form right in front of his eyes.

The race of demon that Yuki was of one that didn’t age. He looked the age of nineteen and was rather handsome, if you thought his tough looks and hard as steel eyes were handsome. The mark of a demon that attacked him when he was little was marked above his left shoulder in the shape of an “X”. No one knew of that mark except him, and he wanted to keep it that way.

His cold personality kept many people away; just like he wanted. He stayed away from people and they stayed away from him.

Where is he? Yuki thought angrily to himself. He had been waiting for a long while and was becoming impatient; but that was normal for him. He really didn't have good patience and tended to get really aggravated when made to wait a long period of time. If his partner didn't show up soon, he was going to be in for a VERY angry and ticked off Yuki.

Skyler walked trough the club, making sure no one followed him. He kept the napkin with the message crumpled under his hand. He walked two, three blocks, until reaching his destination. There he turned in a dark alley filled with clutter, and walked to the end...On the other side his partner stood waiting. Reading his body language he knew he was late. "Sorry I'm late...I had some trouble earlier getting the weapons..But I got our new orders..." He coughed a bit from the stench of the trash.

Yami walks in an office to see a man with his hands typing furiously on a keyboard and his eyes locked onto a computer screen. "Hey Kazuo, not done yet i see...." Yami said in a calm voice. The man looked up and smiled. "Heh, no, still got a lot of work left. I can take a lunch break though," he said in return.

Dameru sat on a bench in the hall before the secretary. He got impatient and walked over to the secretary's desk telling her to tell Yami that he would be outside. He walked outside, sticking to the shadow of the building.

Yami smiled at Kazuo who turned off the computer, grabbed a set of keys and they both headed out of the office. He told the secretary he was on his lunch break on their way out of the building. Outside, Dameru wasnt there.
