Kioto stood still in shock as she saw a boy get knocked out. Her cat eyes slit and she ran at them, kicked them in the face, knocking them out then half dragged half carried the boy into a dark alley a little ways off. She set him down on her jacket and looked through his hair at his head.

Snow sighed. "Fine...hold down the fort for a while. I'll call Tai and tell him to come help." She hung up and rested her head back on the pillow, calling her brother. He picked up on the second ring.

"Snow, where are you?" Tai asked as soon as he picked up.

"With a friend. Look, go to the club and help Amy. Most of the workers are sick and according to her, the place is packed. I'm really tired and I need you to go hold down the fort for me. Can you do that?"

"Yup, I got it covered. You get your rest okay sis?"

"I will. Thank you Tai. Love you onii-san."

Tai mixed the drinks. He wasn't as quick as his sister was at mixing, seeing as that was her job and all, but he was going rather well. No one was complaining yet.

"Get some rest..." Tai whispered before walking out of the room.

"Hello?"

"Hello Ms. Snow. Tai wanted me to call you and tell you that Amy has passed out and he's taken her home."

"What?!" Snow sat up quickly. "Is she okay?"

"No ma'am. She's exhausted."

Snow sighed. She could her yelling the background, mabye from unhappy customers. "I'm on my way in." she hung up.

Snow lay down again, staring at the ceiling. She was tired herself, but she hated when customers were upset.

"What am I going to do?" she asked herself.

Snow’s Dream

“Who’s this?” Mirei asked, staring at the purple haired, seven year old in front of her.

The young girl was sucking on her thumb, holding onto her father’s hand. Red eyes bore a hole into the floor and she clutched a stuffed animal under her arm. Her hair fell to the center of her back in two long pigtails. Never once did she look up at the woman speaking with her father.

“This is my daughter Mirei. Her name’s Snow.” Mark said.

“Oh, hello there Snow! It’s nice to finally meet you!”

Even at that young age, Snow knew her step-mother was putting on an act for her father. Still, she looked up and waved a small hand to the woman, her eyes going up only for an instant before they were back to the ground.

“So why did you bring her here Mark?”

Her father hesitated to answer. “Sakura…died…and Snow was alone in that house with her mother’s body. I couldn’t just leave my daughter there in that house. So, she’s going to live with us.”

“Really?!” a boy’s voice rang out.

Snow looked up, the biggest smile coming to her face. That was the most emotion anyone had seen that day. Releasing her father’s hand and her stuffed animal, she ran over to her older brother, jumping into his arms as Tai hugged her tightly.

“Hey Snow!!!”

“Hello Tai!”

Over the next few weeks, Snow was grew accustomed to living with her father and step-mother; that is, until Mirei began locking her in a room away from her brother and the only person who really cared about her.

“No way is a half-breed going to interact with my son. I won’t allow it!” Mirei locked the room.

Snow pounded on the door, crying her red orbs out. “Let me out! Let me out!”

When Mirei was gone, Tai walked over to the door, hearing his sister’s tears and cries. Tears of his own left his eyes and he placed his hand on the door, not knowing of a way he could break his sister out of the room.

Snow rolled around in bed, tears leaving her eyes from her dream. “Let me out…let me out…” she murmured in her sleep.

Chris woke up... He was chained to some type of metal table, his arms stretched tightly above his head and his legs down below.
"Uhhhhn." he groaned and shook off his dizziness, then feeling the spiked colar around his neck.
"Wha?.... Wh-Where am... I?" he managed to say threw the tight choking of the colar.
