Demons…..

There are certain kinds of demons; some nice and some very cruel. Most are full-breeds, having both a demon mother and father, but there are some who may have a human father and a demon mother and vise versa. Once these demons or “half-breeds” are old enough or better yet, mature enough, they attend a boarding school deep in the forest, away from any humans. At the school, full-breeds and half-breeds are given their schedules, the two classes of demons separated from one other. While some full-breeds and half-breeds are the best of friends, many full demons despise them, due to the human blood that runs through their veins.

Sebastian woke up remembering today was the first day of classes. "Ughh..." He rolled over in his bed and fell down with a, thud! "Oww...@.@"

The door opened rapidly, "Wake up Sebastian today is the first day of classes!" His sister, Kaori, said while brushing her teeth.

"Okay..Okay..."

"Eww..>.< Are you wearing any undearwear underneath your covers?" Kaori frowned, then quickly left her brothers room.

"Alright then!" Sebastian stood up and streched. "First to take a shower!" He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist, then he walked into the bathroom.

Kaori was now struggling to put on her uniform, once she was done she brushed her short hair. Staring at her reflection she saddened a bit. A new school year meant more demons, most of them being full breeds which for her meant torture, but luckily all that teasing and put-down had taught her to take care of herself.

But thanks to her brother she didn't have to go trough it alone,and she was thankful someone had seen her for who she was, and not by a status.

Amara walked silently into the forest and sat down eating a muffin for breakfast before she went to class

Roukara flipped over. "Darnit." She mumbled. She shooked her fist at the tree. "I'll get you." "Roukara!" She looked over and saw Renji. "Yeah?" Renji once again sighed and said "Lets go." Roukara smiled and ran over to Renji and jumped on his back. "YA! MULE!!" She yelled. Renji mumbled a curse and broke into a run.

Renji dodged trees that seem to pop out of nowhere. "So are you going to miss the school?" Roukara asked. "Not really." He muttered.

Roukara streched when they finally got back at the school. Renji mumbled some inautoble and rubbed his back. "Man your heavy." Roukara glared. "You callin' me fat?" She hissed.

"Well I didn't want to say anything." Renji said. "You can't be talking." Roukara said punching his stomach. "Doughboy."

Yuri sat in her English class, silently working on her assignment. A group of full-breeds sat around her, disrupting the class. As much as she wanted to just turn around and ask them all to shut up, she was too frightened; just like she had been in the hall when he walked past. She had ducked into her room when he passed her and she didn't come out until she was sure his footsteps were long gone.

Kyo had History this period and man was it boring. Of course, he was in Advanced History, where they learned the history of what has happened in both the human and demon world. Which seemed pretty well....pointless if you were to ask him.

sonador yawned and sat in history class. she had been drawing while she waited for class to start. She finished in and closed her notebook before any one could see it

Sebastian walked to his class with his arms behind his head. Where his sister had gone he had no clue, but he hoped she was safe. His first class was Calculus, he sighed...he hated math, but full-breeds were requiered to take high level classes.

"Ms. Moto, would you like to share with us your paper?" The teacher asked, calling her out unexpectantly.

"Yeah...read us your paper Yuriiiiiii." One of the full-breeds said and laughed with his friends.

Yuri began reading her paper in a very soft voice. "Life...life is a never-ending road of twist and turns, of rights and wrongs, of do's and don'ts. It's a sea of mixed emotions. All lives are different; just like ying and yang. Some of us have better lives than others. But what of my life?

Is my life just as important of that of a full-breed? I am worthless?

Half-breed...that's the name given to me for my human blood. Does anyone, anyone want to know the real Yuri and not just the 'half-breed?' Do you?" she paused after a moment. "That's all I wrote."

"Wow.....that sucked." The same demon said, getting more laughs.

Yuri ignored it, used to it by now. Even though her paper was how she really felt, but no one seemed to care.

"You'll be up if you hit me again." Kyo said in a cold voice before smirking at his friend.

Kaori frowned as the girl bleed her feelings out in paper and stood there having to take the prejudices from the full breeds. She was ashamed now to have to read her paper, she hid behind the boy infront of her hoping the teacher wouldn't call on her.

Lika came in, calm and collected behind the mask she used to hide. She timidly sat down in the front desk that she always sat at, gaurded by a bookshelf.

sonador will you come up to the board" asked the teacher in a stern voice. sje rolled her eyes and stood up. When she reached the board she was told to choose a partner for the project

Lika watched- she was in this class because she was so smart, but she doubted a full blood woud pick her.

The bell rang signaling the start of the second period of the day. Kaori picked up her bags. Another bad thing about half-breeds was that you had to keep your head down most of the time. If you were to look in the eyes of a full breed, good luck for you.

So naturaly picking her papers and pens, she looked up and gave a look of sympathy to the girl that had bravely stood up to read her paper.

Lika stood, gathering her stuff with head held high. She almost wanted a fight- she wanted to do somthing- she hated who she was, and when she fought she didn't think.

Yuri quietly gathered her things and walked out of the door, heading towards her second class of the day. She waited for her favorite class to come towards the end of the day; at least in that class, she had at least one half-breed like herself to talk to.

"Part like the Red Sea." A full-breed named Nasoko said walking through a group of half-breeds.

Kyo laughed, following his friend to their next class. He caught a female half-breed glancing at him and he smirked as she noticed him looking. He chuckled slightly, his eyes moving straight ahead again.

Lika heard him and stood in the way defiantly. "No thank you." She said in her honey-sweet voice.

Sebastian walked non-chalantly to his second period again with his arms behind his head. As he passed the hall-way many people said hi or waved at him, he just nodding in recognition.

Kaori hurridly walked to class she had waited for everyone to leave the class before so she could hand the paper in to her teacher.
But now she was running late to class.
Many full-breeds showing rebelion stayedlate in the hall-ways talking to their girl friends or making-out, it was gross but she never said anything because she couldn't. Huffing she carried her new books in one hand and her pocket book in another hoping theu wouldn't fall to the ground and make a mess.

lexi was walking to the next class when she saw kyo and his friend pushing thhrewthe half breeds.

Nasoko smirked, going over to Lika. "Would you mind repeating that?"

Kyo chuckled, watching. Yuri spotted him before she saw the girl Nasoko was pestering and she ducked into the crowd. Kyo saw her also and smirked, pulling her over.

"Hello there Ms. Moto. Lovely seeing you again this year." Kyo said.

Yuri's eyes held that of fear, but she didn't try to pull away.

"Going somewhere?" Kyo asked, lifting a lock of her dark hair.

"I-I have to get to class Mr. Rora." Yuri answered in a soft shaking voice.

"So soon? Why don't you watch with me." It was a command. He held onto her arm tightly and forced her to watch Nasoko and Lika.

"hey leave her alone" yelled sonador (i was using the wrong name) as she walked of to kyo

"Why?" Kyo asked, smirking.

For the first time in a long time, Yuri spoke up when no one spoke to her. "N-no....it's okay...." she said quietly to the girl. "Kyo's not bothering me."

Her look read differently. She was terrifed of him, ever since she first started school. But...strangely, he was the only friend she had...if you could call him a friend. He looked out for her, in return for making her life hell.

Kaori looked like she was limping from the weight of her books, she noticed a group of peopleto the side of the hall-way they seemed to not care they were late. How could people not care about school...? Well maybe because I'm such a nerd. She laughed out loud at her comment to no one.

Even though no one could see it, Kyo was sending wave after wave of white-hot energy through Yuri's arm, causing her to wince in pain every few minutes. The walk to her class was unbearable; she had nearly broken down in tears by the time they reached her class.

"Enjoy class Ms. Moto." Kyo released her arm and walked off.

Instead of walking inside, Yuri slid down the wall, letting silent tears flow freely down her face.

Kaori walked to class silently the rest of the way. But on her way she met with her friend, "Hello how are you?"

Her friend seemed to be lost in though, her face serene and glowing. "Not for you but perhaps for someone else." She pointed at a girl crying outside of a door.

Kaori looked at the direction of the girl, it was true the girl was crying silently. Kaori lowered her voice and said, "But what do you want me to do..?" She turned to face her friend but she was gone.

Okay...see you friend. Without her friends support she did not know what to do. Should I ask her what's wrong? No that would make me seem nosy..But I can't just leave her there...

"Hello there! I'm Yuri Moto! What's your name?" Yuri smiled as she introduced herself to the handsome Sophomore in her class.

Yuri talked back then, not scared to introduce herself to anyone. But that day...her happy and upbeat personalily disappeared completely. It was that same day that she no longer spoke, no longer introduced herself to people on her own. She only talked to people when spoken to or when she's defending Kyo.

He protected her from all the other full-breeds, making so that if they harmed her, he would deal with it. It was all for a price. She belonged to him, meaning he could whatever he wanted to do to her and she can't say or tell anyone about it...or it was her life.

Kyo had vanished, leaving the dark haired Junior shaking. She looked over her shoulder to see more people in the hall. Yuri clutched her book tightly in her arms and went to her next class, keeping her eyes to the ground so that maybe...she would just disappear before their very eyes.

Yuri fell asleep in class, exhausted. Her teacher didn't bother her any, so she was able to sleep peacefully.

Driton sat next to a some person. He started a converstation. "Hi I'm Driton." He said to the person.

"Hey Kyo, what were you and that half-breed talking about earlier?" Nasoko looked over at him.

"You mean Yuri? None of your concern. And you shall refer to her by her name...got that?"

Nasoko was about to protest, but nodded instead. "But what's so special about her? She's like the only half-breed you actually talk to."

"Once again, it's none of your concern." Kyo looked away.

The person ignored Driton. He sighed and rested his head in his palms.

Yuri woke up at the slamming of a book on her desk. She sat up quickly, rubbing her eyes.

"About time you woke up. Take this up for me." The full-breed in front of her held out his assignment.

Yuri got up reluctantly and took up his assignment, avoiding the people that tried to trip her on her way.

Roukara walked out of class. "Finally. Thought never end." She mumbled.

Driton sighed. Out of boredom, He started to manipulate a small ball of light.


Renji lazily opened one eye and walked out of class. "Bored." He mumbled.

Flashback

"Please! I'm sorry!" A younger Yuri trembled in fear as the tall Sophomore backed her into a corner.

They were alone in the hallway, no one around to save her. Kyo smirked at the trembling girl, placing a hand under her chin. Yuri tensed, her eyes scared.

"You have to make it up to me Yuri Moto."

She had broken the ONE rule she should've known: she spoke to a full-breed, hugging him as she spoke. It really hadn't bothered Kyo, but others around found it offensive for a half-breed to talk to, much less hug one of their own.

"H-how? What do you want me to do?" Yuri's voice shook.

Kyo's hand traveled down to her arm, sending a wave of white-hot pain through her. Yuri cried out in pain, sinking to the floor. Kyo held her up and brought her close enough so he could whisper in her ear.

"You'll belong to me...forever Ms. Moto. I'll protect you from the other full-breeds, but in return," he sent another wave of pain through her. "You're mine..."

I belong to him....he's my master now... Yuri thought sadly, as she took her seat.
