Pumpkin could be seen in her bed, which was set up in Raffaels room, in a big tee shirt. She was sleeping soundly, with her thumb in her mouth. She moved a little bit.

''What am I do here?'' Pumpkin held on to King Kupa, her guinea pig and looked around. This place, where ever she was, was simply black. It almost seemed like she was walking on air.

''It's really warm..'' she noted. '' I wonder why, it's winter..'' All of a sudden, as if on cue a cold wind blew through where ever she was bringing with it snow. She held on to Kupa tighter. With out reasonu, she grew frightened.

''Baba!'' she called out. ''Nii!!'' she yelled louder..She thought she saw the two up in the distance so she ran quickly to them, as she got closer Mavrick turned away. Raffael looked at her with tears in his eyes. He said some thing inaudible. She grew closer and took his hand. ''Whats wrong Oniisan?'' she looked up in his face, to see not Raffael but a green beast with red eyes and a forked tounge sticking out. She screamed and ran in the oposite direction.

She found, in this nothingness, a bush where she hid.

''Baba...'' she whimpered. ''Real Oniisan..'' she called. Another gust came.

''You don't need them any more child.'' A soothing voice called. Pumpkin gingerly came out from behind the bush and looked around. Before her she saw a kind looking woman. She walked to her and sat in her lap.

''I do. Im just a little girl.'' she told the woman.

''No. You are a little fox. You must return to the forest Pumpkin.'' the woman cooed,and stroked Pumpkins hair.

''I don't want to.'' Pumpkin frowned.

''Darling, you must.'' The woman said, '' The forest needs you now..it wants you.'' she continued.

''I don't want to.'' Pumpkin said again. She tried to get off of the womans lap, but found she was stuck to it.

''You have to return.'' the woman said. Pumpkin looked at her wide eyed. ''You must return.'' she repeated. ''If you don't come, we wont change your Brother back.'' she told her. Pumpkin remembered the frightening Raffael and shuddered.

''I must go back.'' she said. She set Kupa down, and walked away with him following her.

Pumpkin stirred a little bit more in her bed, and finnaly got up. She rubbed her eyes sleepily and looked out the window. It was still dark, and she could see the white snow dancing in the wind. She put on some socks and quietly left the room. She snuck down stairs, and casually walked out the front door.

Mavrick walked passed Raffaels room, drying his hair with a towel.

''Wonder if he's up yet..'' he mummbled. The door whiped open.

''Mav! Did you see Pumpkin ?'' he looked concerned.

''Ah, shes probally hiding. You know how she is.'' Mavrick said trying to make him okay. "I gotta run.School.'' Mavrick peaced signed and ran off.

''Hmm..Maybe she'll come out when she's supposed to go to school..'' Raffael scratched his chin and went down stairs to make some thing to eat.

It had only been 20 minutes since Mavrick left, but Raffael was worried. He grabbed his coat and headed outside. He noticed icey little foot prints.

''It's gotta be hers..'' he said, and ran after them trying not to step in one. After awhile they stopped. He felt her very close. He kicked at the snow, angry and walked forward.

Pumpkin was in the middle of the woods. She had been looking around.

''If I live in the woods.. What would I eat?'' she thought. She saw some berries. ''How would I know if those were poison!'' she hit the bush. The bush had thorns and pricked her enough to make her hand bleed a little. She stuck it in her mouth and pouted. ''I want my Onii san.'' she groaned. She was hungry,cold, and lost.

''You did come!'' she heard the voice in her dream. She turned around to see the same woman.

''This is insane..''she mummbled.

"Let's begin, come with me.'' the lady ordered.

''No. I will not.'' Pumpkin said bluntly. ''I don't want to live in the woods, and be a little fox. I like being a little girl.'' she said. ''Besides I don't even know how to LIVE out here!'' she exclaimed. The woman laughed.

''We'll teach you that darling~'' the woman said.

''I will not leave my Oniisan, and Baba.'' she said.

''They left you good memories, and taught you vital things, but now you must leave them.'' the woman replied.

Pumpkin crossed her arms and made an angry face. ''Fine, then we'll have to use force..'' the lady said~

''PUMPKIN!'' he screamed, calling for her. He felt a very strange power. He quickened his pace. He saw her in the clearing. He went quickly,but felt some thing strange pulling him back.

''..O--nii-sa..n'' Pumpkin struggled to say, she was being pulled back by the same force pushing Raffael away. Her hair flew around her face, her little arm reached out for him.

''Whats..going on..'' Raffael said, winning the struggle and moving forward a bit.

''T..he..y wan..t me...'' she said running forward, only not going any where. The force grew stronge and Raffael moved back a few steps.

''W..ho!?'' he yelled. Both of their faces looked strained.

''US!'' the woman yelled louder than the wind sound, she was unseen.

''WHY?!'' Raffael asked, he was moving closer quickly now from adrenilin. She was too, their hands were almost touching. Tears of frustration on her face.

''Oniisan..''she sobbed.

''It...'ll be...ok..ay..'' he said. For an instant their hands touched~
