Alex walked along St.Andrews Boulevard silently, it was her first day back at school since she went to Santa Monica with Jesse on vacation only to catch him in bed with the chamber maid after coming back to the hotel from shopping. She turned up another street and walked up it slowly. She could see the school at the far end of the street. She sighed, she couldn't help but think how Jesse would have called his friends and boasted about the whole thing. She felt her stomache churn, who needed a jerk like that? She once thought she did, before she caught him cheating on her...

James stood at the school gates, pulling out a cigarette from his pack of Number 7 reds. He put it in his mouth then pulled out his neon green lighter. He lit the smoke, the end glowing as it burned. He took a puff, the nicottine relaxing his body. He looked down the street, he saw Alex walking up it solemnly. He felt bad for her, he was the first person Jesse boasted about doing the maid to. It made him sick. It was a good thing Jessie had decided to stay in Santa monica and not come home, otherwise a few people might have had a thing or two to say to him, 'Poor Sarah...' he thought.

Alex saw James standign at the gates waving at her. She half-heartidly waved back to him. As she reached him she managed a weak smile, "Hey..." She could tell in his eyes he knew, but he wasn't saying anything about it though which was nice.

James looked at her, "Need a smoke?" He said reaching for his pack and handing her one. He smiled at her understandidly.

Alex nodded, "Thanks..." She took it and lit it, it was like a release to her. She hadn't had a smoke yet that day and this helped. She was thankful for James, he was like a big brother to her, and it was through him she even met Jesse. But he had warned her about him saying he wouldn't be the greatest boyfriend and that she should reconsider. She took another drag and waited for school to start...

Tonks walk up to the school and sat down by the gates "only 2 ppl here" she whispered reaching in her pocket. she grabed her mp3 & her pocket of cigaretts she swear loudly when she seen she had none left oh well i've been needing to quiet but i could REALLY use one...expecialy after the summer i had she thought back knowing she'd never be the same.

Leon had his back pack slung over one of his shoulders has he made his way to school. He pulled out his pack of camel wides and took a cigarette out. Reaching in to his pocket he brought out his crimson red lighter and let his cigarette. Leon closed his eyes has he took a drag from it. Opening his eyes again Leon looked up to see a couple of his friends smoking by the gate.

Alex looked up to see Leon, "Hey you!" She shouted grinning, she waved at him and then concious of her cigarette took another drag. She seemed to feel a bit better seeing each of her friends returning. She had missed them, and when she was with them she was able to forget her problems.

James merely gave Leon a little nod, taking another drag. He ignored Alex's look plainly saying that he was a typical guy. James didn't care, what did she expect? For him to go fling himself on Leon? Yea right! He looked at her and grinned, laughing at the look on her face as he did, 'She knows I knew what she was thinking...' He took another drag, and looked at Tonks smiling.

((Camels, nice! Either A. You did your smoking research or B. you yourself are a smoker or C. you know someone who smokes.... lol... I don't know too many people who smoke camels, let alone know about camels!))

Alex rolled her eyes, "Of course... who wouldn't be," she said scrunching up her nose. She took a deep drag before snuffing out her smoke.

James looked over at her and smirked, "Alexa just because your summer wasn't that great doesn't mean you have to bring your attitude to school!"

Alex shot him a feirce look, "What did you say?" She walked up to him, staring him in the eyes, her head tilted upwards in order to do so. She shoved him back, "You have no right to say that!"

James grabbed her, "Calm down!" He turned her around and hooked her arms, "Chill out, I was kidding! I jsut meant you should look at this as a fresh start!"

Alex struggled for a few minutes, "Alright! Let me go!" She stepped out of his reach before turning around.

"Here have kill," James said handing her the last of his smoke. He looked at her expectantly, he knew he should have watched his wording, but it was to late now, he might as well jsut let her rant and smoke.

She took it from him, her eyes glaring at him grudgingly. He only smiled at her, Alex hated the smile and wave theories he followed.

Alexa and James headed into class, the teacher gave them a scolding glare. They went to their seats in the back row on the left side. They stopped to see two kids in their seats.

James walked up to one of the boys, his eyes threatening, "Move it." The boy quickly moved out of the desk to the front of the class. James tossed his stuff on his desk and plopped down leaning back in his chair.

Alex looked expectantly at the other boy and he too jumped up and ran to the front. She sat down curtly, one of the joys of being not only her, but being James' friend was that she had power to throw, not that she ever used it, a mere intense look seemed to scare people enough from the two best friends.
