Elayne entered the store, smiling at her new boss. "I'm here! What should I do to get started?"

"Ya you can take some ice cream out of the freezer" April smiled at ehr new employie

"Ice cream?? Okay! What kind, where do you want it? Can I have one (haha, just kidding :) ). Into the display-freezer it goes:star "

Elayne walks over to the freezer and pulls out a large box of rocky road ice cream. "If only my father allowed me to buy this stuff," she said, longingly. "It looks... so good..." She quickly placed the box on the display freezer and started setting them up inside. "These had better sell out!" she joked

[hissing]

"only if you buy one and it needs to be in the freezer over there and we need rocky road and classic vanilla" April said well she was ringing in someone

Elayne went back into the freezer room and grabbed another box, this time of classic vanilla. When she came out, she noticed a strange person coming through the door.

[hissing]

April wathched Eylane and she stopped and watched the door i turned my head toward the door and.....

The boy standing there growled. "What?" he asked, glaring at first Elayne, then April. "Never seen a cat demon before?" he had brown ears sticking up out of a mane of brown hair, and a thin brown tail tied around his waist like a belt. His fiery blue eyes walked up to the counter and rang the bell. "I was wondering if you could help me? Name's James Feir. I'm looking for an April Watts? I'm the one who owned this building before you bought it for your store."

[hissing]

"Im right here what do you want?" april asked walking over to James

"Well, this is such a big store... Much bigger then needed for a simple Corner Store. I'd like to make you an offer. If my ex-partner wasn't such a fool, I wouldn't need to be here right now (he wasn't supposed to sell this palce! Not while I was gone!) but how would you like to sell half this place back to me. Say, the top floor? I meant to make this a teen coffee shop down here and a hangout loft upstairs. Imagine the money I could make off that!" greed shone in James' eyes. "what do you say? I'll pay half of what you paid for this entire place (that seems fair), or you can just let me open up upstairs and I'll split part of the prophets with you. And, you may be asking, what kind of coffee shop? These days all sorts of creatures roam the city. Well, that's exactly my strategy! Everyone can come! Hope you won't find vampires, demons, angels, and the occasional human, crowding through here to get to my shop. ;) "

Left alone, Elayne scooted behind the counter, in case anyone came in. April's office was right behind the counter, so Elayne strained to hear what was said, knowing it was wrong but too occustomed to living in a house with 3 brothers not to listen in.

"So, what do you say?" James said from the other side of the door.

[hissing]

"Im not to sure right now what were your offers?" April asked sitting in her chair "Please sit" She added motioning to the other chair

"I'll pay you for the upstairs floor... Say about $460. If you won't accept that, I'll give you half the profits from the first 6 months of my coffee shop. I won't take no for an nswer!" James shook a clawed hand in April's face. "So what do you say, Ms.Watts?"

[hissing]

april sighed "Well if you make it 600$ its a deal if not forget it" April said

james pondered the amount for a mintue. "You've got yourself deal!" he says happily jumping up and pulling out a check book. "Here you are! Construction on my floor will begin in an hours time! By the way, thanks fo being so... cooperative. I was worried I'd have to pull out a few threats," he added, looking at his claws with a sick fire returning to his eyes. Let's see just how long she'll last before she gives up and leaves my dream alone. This was meant to be mine! All mine! Well... a girl can only stand so much of this cat, he thought, but he placed a smile on his face. "Glad doing business with you!" He bounded out of the office, sent a happy wink at Elayne and whistled his way out the store.
"I don't like the look of him," Elayne mutters when April comes out of the office. "He seems to be hiding something."

James had been at the door, and thought, you have no idea how right now are, Elayne, no idea.

"I totally agree but we got 600$ dollars its not like we r useing the 2nd floor" April said waving the check right in her face

Elayned laughed. "True, it's probably just my imagination! Back to work we go, I guess?"

Elayne walks towards the Corner Store, in a horrible mood. "Stupid father... I ddin't even do anything this time!" Seeing moving trucks outside the store, she glares at James, the cat demon from earlier. "You really don't waste any time, do you?" she grumbles.
"Nope," he answers happily. Elayne held back the urge to punch him in the face. "Stupid cat demon..." Walknig into the store, she sees a boy mopping up the floor. "Hey April," Elayne says smiling at the girl behind the desk. Turning back to the boy, she asks, "Hey, you new here? I'm Elayne. Need me to take over at the desk? It's going to be pretty busy in here with all the movers and stuff." Walking over towards the cashier, Elayne turned, hearing a loud thump-thump-thump behind her. Screaming, Elayne stares in horror, frozen, as a long, beige loeseat slides down the stairs, the movers doing nothing to stop it.

Huffing on the side, the small couch had missed her by inches, Elayne walked calmly over to behind the cahs register. "Can I help you?" she asks, still calmly, to an old man in front of the desk. He stared at her in shock.
"Are you arlight?"
"Fine."
"Alrighty then, deary. I've got some oranges, and a bucket of vanilla ice cream for my neice, she's such a dear, and some bread..." Elayne staretd ringing through his purchases...

"Oh dear, I'll have to get my workers to be more careful. No slipping on the job. It could do such horrible damage to my furniture. I'm lucky we got away with no more then a scratch on this baby," James says, thumbing a small scratch in the corner of the loveseat where it had hit the edge of the cash-desk

Sarah stood acroos the street looking at the store on the corner that she was now going to work in. She took a deep breath and let out a huge sigh. man why did i take the blame for lauren when she crashed my parents car.. If it wasnt for her i wouldnt have to be doing this she sighed once more. well, here goes. she thought, and walked across the street into the store with the fakest smile she had ever worn on her face. "Hi! i'm Sarah! I'm supposed to start here today." she said to the girl behind the counter.
"Can i speak to.." Sarah struggled to remember the managers name.. "April!" she said remembering. "Yes thats it. Is April here?"

Taking a short break, Elayne walks up the steps into the coffee shop upstairs. "It's way too early in the morning for work," she grumbled, looking at the line that had already started up. Finally making it to the counter, Elayne pays the cashier $1.15 for a cup of coffee and sat at one of the table, resting her tired legs. Looking up she saw that someone had sat in the seat across from her. Cutting her grumbling about price short, she blushed feircly and says, "Um, hey."
