Hakaru stopped, bringing the headphones out of his ears and closing his eyes listening, about halfway through the song his eyes opened again clouded over until the song stopped. He loved music so much, whenever he heard good music...he could not help but stop to listen.

Putting the headphones in his pocket he turned around, heading in the direction the sound had come from. He wanted to compliment the person who had been singing.

Anine sat on a bench and wrote on a book.

She smiled at the end of the song and looked up at the sky.

Hakaru finally found where the voice had been coming from and smiled coming to a stop in front of her. "I'm sorry to speak randomly..." he said panting slightly. "But I heard you singing...it was lovely..."

Jessica sat up and turned around, "Thank you.... My name's Jessica..." she said with a smile.

Hakaru caught his breath finally and nodded, "Nice to meet you Jessica...I'm Hakaru." he said returning the favor of name giving and smiling gently back at her.

She was thinking what to say next, "Are you new around here?" she asked

Hakaru rubbed his head, "Not so much anymore. I've been here about a month, " the boy admitted. "I haven't really been out much, been so busy..." he said the last part mostly to himself, letting his hand fall to his side.

She smiled, "Okay." she said

Hakaru rubbed his head a bit again, not really wanting to just say 'hi' then 'bye', "Hm...would you like to take a walk?" he said shrugging a bit. He was trying to be polite.

She smiled a little and nodded her head, "Sure." she said and got up. Then walked over to Hakaru.

Hakaru smiled a bit, turning to walk in the opposite direction, they'd go to the park...that place was very calming, or at least to him it was, it wasn't as loud as the area in the city was.

Once they got to the park Jessica said, "So...." she laughed a little bit. "Sorry, I'm just not sure what to talk about." she said as they sat on the nice soft grass.

Hakaru smiled a bit, "That's alright. I mean you sing wonderfully. I can't sing very well myself..." he said going off on a topic that they might both enjoy...

Hakaru again let his eyes close and reopen glazed over, she sung very well. He smiled a bit as he listened, not really wanting the sound to go away. It was beautiful, CD's never did justice to the persons real voice...

She blushed a little of embarrassment. "H-How was that?" she asked

Hakaru smiled a bit, "Don't be so shy...it was fine. In fact, it was better than fine." he gave a small laugh and shifted his position. "Like I said...I can't really sing...but I love listening to it."

She smiled a little and looked up at the sky, "Thank you...." she said

Hakaru gave her a strange look but smiled. "No problem...it's the truth. Why would I tell you you were bad if you weren't?"

She looked down, "S-Sorry...." she said

"Woah, don't be sorry either...I guess we're all a bit insecure about our talents, but hey you've got a good thing going for you..." he put his hand on her shoulder for a moment before letting it fall away. "You can never please everyone...but I know you'll be able to make many people happy."

"Yeah... I guess you're right..." she said

Hakaru smiled, "See? But you have to look at the silver lining... You're good, remember that."

"Really thanks Hakaru," she said and paused for a moment. "No one's really been this kind to me..." she admitted.

"Really?" Hakaru asked. "My guardian always told me to be kind...maybe because no one was ever kind to her..." the boy shrugged. "But I guess it's natural for me..."

"Oh.... Well...thank you, really." she said kindly.

Hakaru sighed a bit, "No problem...I don't see why other people can't be kind...it's really easy..." he laughed a bit smiling.

"I'm glad as well..." he said nodding. "I don't like to think that people are mean to others..." he sighed. "And you yourself are nice and kind...I'm sure of that."

Hakaru sighed, leaning back again, not noticing the blush. He looked up at the sky and smiled, it was a pretty shade of blue today... he let his eyes close gently. Everything was so calm now...

Hakaru opened his eyes again, "And also...you seem to like to sing, so that makes you even better...if you can't feel the heart behind it...it's just not the same..." he smiled and looked at her. "I'll say it again, you sing very well."

She smiled, "You're a very kind person Hakaru. You're the nicest person I've ever met." she said looking at him.

It was Hakaru's turn to blush lightly and turn his head, "Thanks..." he said softly. "I've never heard that before..."

She let out a little giggle and blushed as well. "Well...it's true. You were right. Being nice is really easy well for you anyway." she exclaimed with a smile.

Hakaru smiled a little, "Thanks...you can thank my guardian for that..." he did not say parents...he did not have them...well he might, but he couldn't remember...and actually his guardian...wasn't all that much older than he was...

He pushed the thought from his mind. "Anyway, thanks..." he chuckled slightly, rubbing his head.

Hakaru shook his head still smiling. "So...is there anywhere you would like to go?" he asked in a soft, but comforting voice, almost like one that made you want to sleep.
