The year is 3575. Civilization no longer exists..well, not in the way you remember. When the world ended, creatures that had been hiding for so long decided that this was their chance to reclaim lost territory. Every building, every road, every home and family...all were destroyed. Darkness consumed every inch of the planet.
The guardians of the other planets knew that if they didn't do something quickly, the darkness would grow and their only chance of survival would disappear. Thirteen of the most powerful guardians combined powers and created a life force that would search out thirteen creatures, all Earthly-rather they ever lived on earth or not, and awaken a guardian in each of them.
Inside every living creature is a guardian. It only takes the right moment in life to awaken it, anger, love, sadness..... If these emotions should ever be felt in any way other than the normal human dose, the guardian will be awakened. That is what this life force does. It finds the humans strongest emotion and amplifies it.
