Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

We are the brotehrhood without banners we do not yield but we shield. We are the black brothers and we are the only thing that stands between the endless winter and the realm of men joni at your leasure but know that you cant leave for an oathbreaker's head earns a sure place in my wall.

whoa nice people real good most of you are fine even tought i forgot to thell that the nigthwatch dresses all in black only one od one out but instead of red we could pretend it black)The lord commander sat in his chair thinking how long had it been 50 years since lord commander snow had defended the measly defended wall of about 200 men agaisnt the horde of 100,000 fro m the king beyond the walland now tought strongly garrisoned the Nigthwatch faced a darker treath the white walker the "others"he drank another cup of strong arbor wine to help himself think

Luxun sat as she breathed in the night air. How long has it been since this wall was attacked anyway? Not in my lifetime that's for sure.... she thought, as she walked down the line, her double blades clanking against her black uniform. As she walked, she saw another person making their way down the wall.....

Adiella walked up behind Lord Commander Lutarios, her body straight as a board, her black eyes empty, "Lord Commandor , I spotted movement on the outside of the wall, small creatures. What are our orders at the west end?".

lutarios"send 4 rangers to deal with them and see wahts happening. keep archers on the top of the wall to spot for trouble if anything happesn send 15 more rangers which you should keep ready."

She nodded, then she looked at the young child that was hiding behind her, "Laska, you heard him, and if you mess up you know what'll happen..."

The little boy looked at her, "But- but-"

"You wanted to learn didn't you? You've been on the wall for six months right at my heels, watching and hearing, you know what to do, they'll listen to you if you say we ordered it. Now go otherwise your begging was useless," she said heartlessly, her eyes sharp on him.

"Yes, ma'am," he stammered and ran off.

He was so much different from what she was like when she came to the wall, she sought vengence on the creatures the wall defended from. He however wanted to prove his worth, she didn't blame him, until she had took him under her wing he had been beaten by his father and told he was useless, so he asked her. He had lived close to her family, about a ten minute walk away. She had once babysat him, no he was like her own child.

Adiella sat next to the commander, her black eyes looking blankly forward as though at nothing, but she was, her eyes were always searching, "Commandor, what brought you to the wall?"

She had wanted to ask her superior this for a long time, and no one else seemed to know, except for a few, but they simply told her that it wasn't her place to tell. Everyone on the wall had a story, but what was their commandors? She slowly looked at him, her blank eyes showing no sign of her mental curiosity.

She had to come ask Lord Commander what her orders were since she spotted severel tiny creatures on the wall, but you are welcome to come of course. The more I gather I am sure the more happier she'll be with me," the young boy said quickly, he was normally like that, speaking 100km/hr, running around in disorder, but Adiella had helped the most of it and had calmed him down a fair bit...

Of course Laska could not help but wonder what her teacher was doing. She was not coming back to the western wall yet. Apparently she needed to talk to Lord Commander Lutarios....

Laska turned to look at them, "I came to the wall to become strong and prove my worth!" However he left out the fact his father used to beat him, that detail didn't matter, atleast not to him, he jsut wanted to forget. He then ran into the sleeping quarters of the west end regiment and came out with the necessary troops.

Just then Adiella returned, "Good work Laska, now go clean the quarters up." Adiella watched as her men lined up on the west wall, her eyes watched then she saw what she wanted to see, "Ready men, their coming, ten of them, small Takesh!"

((Takesh, my own made up creature that has bones like a dog, but with feathers, long drooling fangs, a forked tongue and silveer claws with a lions tail, they only come to knees height but can kill five men in a blink of an eye...))

Laska followed his orders, wishing he could watch the defence, but he could here the screeches of the Takesh and suddenly he felt fear.

Adiella took out her bow and pointed, "Get ready! When i say, shoot!"

The Takesh came bursting through the trees, heading straight towards the wall. Adiella raised her bow slightly, taking into acount the wind and the movement of the beasts. She pulled back on her arrow slowly, her bow string tightening, "Steady!" She cried out, the Takesh came flying towards the wall, "Fire!"

The western wall regiment fired, Adiella's arrow leading. It hit one between the eyes, splitting through its skull then hitting the next in the heart, both fell to the ground, as well as eight others, three remained and Adiella wasted no time in shooting another arrow, this one hitting the first in the chest and going no further... she looked at the last two, "They're too close! Somebody get them!"

(sorry i havent posted my profiile i am trying hard to get a passing gradde in drawing and painting so i'm drawing my character.oh yeah forgot to mention the wall is made of ice and is 700 feet high there are 2 ways up by a winch and stairs .it is possible to walk on the top since it is 15 feet across and crushed stones are spread along it by watchers so it wont be slipery)
Lutarios"wonder what the men are doing?"he remenbered when he had first come to the wall at the age o 12 and now at 18 he was the seocnd youngest lord commander of the wall to ever have existed first having been john snow at 16 or 15 depnding on who you heard.Those first years it had been summer 2 years of it but in the third the winter came and nights became harder and colder and men turned grim.

Adiella returned to Captain Lutarios, "Captain, the western wall has been defended and cleared of the enemy..." Her dark eyes were so empty, her face expressionless, she would have been amazingly beautiful if only her looks werent marred by her constant lack of emotions.

"Yes sir," she was wondering if he was avoiding her question, she asked again, this time her voice determined, "Sir, every man and woman on this wall had a reason for being here. I would like to know yours... I want to know who it is we follow without question, I as Captain of West Wing would like to know. many of the newer recruits have trouble trusting you since little is known about you. If I were to know more then atleast I could reassure them with truth. The rest of us sector captains trust you automatically, we have been here for a long time, but the newer men do not take us seriously when we say we can trust you, especially since we ourselves do not know you well ourselves... "

She was being rather bold to be standing their making a request of the highest ranking man on the wall, she as a sector captain was third highest, but Lutarios had extreme rank and power over the wall, she was not afraid of him however, she had only seen 'kindness' as she called it from the man. He was much like her, cold, solemn, solitary, he was not violent towards the men, atleast none of hers. Perhaps that was why she found herself even more curious about the great lutarios, their personalities were quite similar.

Adiella looked at him suprised then nodded, "Sir, we have not had a large battle like the old days since your rein, we've only had small futal attacks by small packs where only a few archers and a few swordsmen are needed, atleast that is the way it is on the western sector."

Unless there are a million beast, no beast will get past this wall, and if even one does, it will get shot down..."

We may be safe till spring, unless we remove and burn them on a day when the wind blows away from the forest... It'd be unwise to attract others..."

Her black eyes gazed at the forest wall, the white walkers, many had fearful memories of the foul beasts, but Durwen, her memory was the greatest, she watched her family be torn apart by the damned things. She closed her eyes momentarily, many had seen the 'demons' as she called them when they had breached the wall, Durwenidil had been small, and the foul things had attacked her town, and had torn her family apart limb from limb as Durwenidil hid, watching fearfully, not stupid enough to scream...

She opened her eyes slowly, "The white walkers will not pass this walls so long as I stand upon it..."

"No, no they won't... The memory of my family... is still too fresh in my mind for myself to allow the white walkers even close to this wall..." She replied, her black eyes like ice...

Adiella shook her head, "If there was trouble we would have heard by now. Each section of the wall has atleast three runners to alert other sections if there is a major attack."

"Which makes us woman fustrated at times, for a men's mond is as much a maze as our own, it would be much simpler if one of the sexes were more simple minded then the other," Adiella replied shrugging.

Adiella scoffed, "And those men are fools. If there are any men like that on this wall then they better keep it hidden. I could kill any of them easy, well," she side glanced Lutarios, "Besides for perhaps my fellow Section Commandors and of course our Lord Commandor... I would actually have to break a sweat then..." She only grinned at him after that sentence...

"Being the only woman commander on this wall, I'd have to say I have my share of brains and my way with words, but what I don't understand is how you happen to exceed us all by so much Lord Lutarios," Adiella replied looking at him slyly, "You're the same age as I am, or atleast very close, and yet you are our Lord commander, the strongest and most clever of us all, your intelligence and strength exceeds those men who have been on this wall for decades and have the vast experience we lack..."

Lord Commandor, when was the last time you've been away from the wall? How many years ago did you come here? Don't you remember what it was like to see rivers, people, villages, shops, eat fine breads, smell lush grass? To converse with others about something other then the wall?" Adiella replied her voice almost hard, "A man can get sick without such things..."

Adiella turned and looked at him, her eyes hard, "Tomorrow Lord Commander I would like to request for yourself and I to ride to the nearest town for a night so that you may relax for once. It wouldn't be good for us if our Lord Commander turned stale on us."
