Mei patted a middle-aged man on the back, having fixed his prosthetic arm. "Alright, you're done. I need that last payment by the end of the week, alright?" The man nodded, smiling a little. "Thanks, miss. I'll get it to ya soon." He ambled off slowly, moving the arm a little, trying to get used to it. She saw him out the door, noting a few villagers walking around on the dusty roads, some pulling carts or carrying bags of produce from the local supermarket. The sun was shining brightly, and the humidity was low. She was glad about that, she hated humid days, they always seemed to make her a little depressed.

Mei saw Zade walking through town, but she didn't think anything of it, though he seemed kind of desperate. Turning around, she stopped immediately, seeing the state of her shop. "Wow... I need... Someone here to help out... or a maid... One of the two..." She dug through a pile of bolts, nuts, and screws, finding a slightly ruined help sign. She placed it up on the window, sighing slightly.

Carrying the coffee pot Azura passed the table where Ice sat. "I will be with you in a second miss." She said. She then made her way over to the military dogs and started to pour coffee into the mugs.

Ice nodded as she sat there "Take your time" she replied back, Ice took out the Alechimst watch and looked at it, she then place it back in her pocket and started to play with one of the many neckalces she wore. The necklace was on black stinge and has a tear shapr dropped pendent that was blue.

Mei ran after the guy that had come in her shop, a prosthetic arm in one hand. She ran after him into a resturaunt, calling to him the entire time. "Whoa! Wait up!" she called. Apparently she wasn't quite loud enough, because he didn't notice. She finally caught up with him inside the building and grabbed onto his arm, breathing hard. "Whoa... whoa... did you... did you want a job?!" she asked hopefully, having to look up into his eyes.

Zade looked at the girl. "Um yeah actually i didi." He said with a smile.

After Azura finished giving the military dogs there coffee she walked over to the girl. "Sorry about that. So what can i get you?" She asked her.

Ice had no idea what to order "Ummm I need a glass of water and two sandwhiches," SHe said she looked outside to see Rex outside looking in, he looked sad to be out there. "Is there anyway I could possible bring in my ummm my friend" she said pointing to the huge black wolf that was looking in.

Azura wrote down the order on her note pad and then looked out side to see what the girl was talking about. Her eyes wided a little bit with fear. "Um sorry but no pets are aloud inside." She said while stuttering a little bit before she went off into the kitchens to give the cooks the girls order.

Ice nodded her head no and Rex sighed, he sat outside alone. Ice looked back down at the table, she was tired.

Mei looked at him for a moment, smiling, before realizing she was still holding onto his arm. "Oh! I'm sorry." she said, stepping back hastily. Looking at her own hands, she noticed the arm, and hid it behind her back. "Okay... umm... I guess an interview is in order...?" she said, a little questioning. She was young, and good at her job, but she'd never had to hire anyone else. She looked at him for a moment, smiling a little.

Aki smiled as he drew a transmutation circle around the spo where he'd just planted a small seed, which was going to be a peach tree. A bright flash could be seen if you payed attention, and a large, fruit-laden tree stood before a tall redhead, who seemed to be laughing happily. "Well, that's the last one!" he said, smiling to himself, and looking down the neat row of trees. It had only taken a couple hundred weeds, and a few bags of grass and some wood, but he'd gotten his trick to work. The only thing that annoyed him was the fact that he had to obey the laws of equivalent exchange.

Mei sat down at an empty table that had two seats, and she smoothed her black kimono absentmindedly. She then tucked a loose strand of long, silver-blonde hair behind her ear, and looked at the man with her piercing blue eyes. "Okay, before we do this, what's your name? Mine's Mei Kurosaki, by the way." She smiled at him gently, her head tilted a little to the side.

Aki smiled to himself one last time before he headed back to the farmhouse, and greeted his kitten, Nana. He ruffled the small gray cat's fur and picked her up in one hand, letting his nose touch her's in greeting. "So... how are you? And where's Rini?" he asked the small tabby. She mewed, turning her head to the door that led to his little sister's room. "Ah, I'll go make sure she's okay. That accident this morning was a little nasty." He headed to his sisters room, knocking first, then coming in when she said to, though she moaned slightly.

Zade sat down across from her. "Nice to meet you Mei! My name is Zade." He said while holding out his hand to shake.

Mei reached her hand across the table and shook his hand, smiling a little.
"Alrightie then, nice to meetcha Zade." she said, then she retracted her hand slowly, and looked him over once. "Hmm, let's get this thing started, 'kay?!" she said cheerily. She began asking him question after question, wondering how he'd answer. One of the first she asked was what he'd like to work at. "I'm a prosthetics engineer, and I also do prosthetic limb surgery. My shop's a bit messy, and I have trouble organizing things. Think 'Howl' from 'Howl's Moving Castle.' " she said, mentioning one of her favorite movies. "Anyways, what do you think you'd be good at in the shop. Keeping the counter, helping me operate? There's a whole variety of options, and I'm not forcing you to do just one." she said, smiling in a friendly way.

Aki looked at his sister, who was lying on the bed. She had gotten all of his dad's genes, while he took more after their mother. She had a long, thick bandage wrapped around her arm, where she had cut herself badly. "What have we learned about playing with sickles?" he asked, making her move the arm, and taking off the bloody bandage and replacing it with a clean, disinfected one. "Not to..." she replied with a grimace, wincing as he wrapped the bandage tightly. "There ya go." he replied with a smile. He then kissed her forehead and walked to the doorframe. "When you feel like getting off your lazy butt, I left a sandwhich in the fridge. I'm going to see if anything's going on in town. Oh yeah, " he smiled at his sister, "I cleared out the weeds, and now we have peach trees. There're three of 'em on the counter. Enjoy!" he said happily, then headed out of the house, walking along the dirt road in town.

Ice finished the glass of water she felt faint, she tried to stand up but she felt her body go numb, Ice fell out of her seat inot the floor. Rex heard this and the huge wolf came int the resturnat. "ICE" he said running over to her side.

Mei stood up immediately after the girl collapsed. "Wha' happened?!" she asked, yelping slightly. She ran over to the girl just as a big wolf came in. "Whoaaa!" she screamed, scrambling away. Trembling slightly, she tried to keep out of the wolf's eyesight. "Help..." she finally squeaked, as much for her as the fallen girl.

Rex looked at the girl "I'm not going to hurt you just help my master please" he said his voice sounded distressed and he know Wolves were suppose to talk but he was a Chimari and was an exception "Please" he said whinning

Mei nodded, just a LITTLE stunned. ((sarcasticness, lol...)) She crawled over to the girl and pressed her fingers lightly against her throat, feeling a pulse. "She's alive... at least..." she said, a little slowly. "We need to get her to a doctor..." She started pulling the girl up, but she must've weighed at least as much as Mei, and she found she couldn't. Just then, a tall redhead walked in, and saw their predicament. "Here, let me." he said hurriedly, taking the girl in her arms. "Umm, where to?" he asked quickly, and Mei pointed to Dr. Pat's, and he took off running, Mei trailing behind closely.

Rex followed he was in fear that it was happening agian which scared him, he couldn't tell theses strange people what his master really was, they would try to kill her, and then he would be lonely. "THanksyou" he said.

Mei nodded slightly, still running after Aki, who had already disappeared into Dr. Pat's. When she finally made it in, Aki turned to her and the wolf. "The moment Pat saw her she took her to a room in the back, telling us to wait here." he shrugged apolegetically. "Umm... I'm Aki, by the way..." he said, looking down. He wasn't that good with people, other than his sister.

Rex looked at them "I'm Rex," he said he sat down, maybe she waws just sick maybe it wasent' trying to escape again.

Aki nodded a little, kind of stunned. Mei half-smiled, but it was more of a grimace. "Mei Kurosaki..." she said, a little spaced out.

"Thankyou both" Rex said he closed his eyes and whinned alittle.

Aki put his hand on the wolf's shoulder in a comforting gesture, while Mei still stayed a little away from it. She shivered a little, and rubbed her bare arms.

((kk)) Ice opened her eyes and looked around she had no idea where she was. SHe put a hand on her head "Where ami I"" she asked her vision was blurry at the moemnt.

"Doctor's office, dear." came a motherly voice. A small, short, slighlty pudgy, and very motherly looking woman smiled at her a little. "You just had a bad case of food poisoning (?), you'll be alright." Dr. Pat smiled at her a little.

"I told rex the food in the last town was bad" Ice said she rose from where she was but felt sick. "HOw how did I get here?" Ice asked she felt for the necklace that was on her neck and sighed when she found it.

Dr. Pat smiled a little. "A kind, and handsome, young man carried you here, along with a cute girl and a very large wolf." Pat smiled, she really emphathasized the word, handsome. She had a small thing for younger men. Frankly, it creeped everyone out, but they dealt with it since she was the only midwife in town, and the best doctor.

Ice got up and sat her slef on the floor she had to catch her self because she fell. "Rex come here" she said. THe wolfs ears picked up and he found where his master was being called dthe door was closed so he scracthed at it.

Dr. Pat had gone to another room. Aki saw Rex scratching at the door and he walked over to it, opening it hesitantly. Mei still stood a few feet away, feeling awkward and a little afraid.

REx came in and laid down, Ice took ohold of his neck and pulled herslf onto his back. Rex stood up and left the room, "Are you okay?" he asked worried. Ice didn't reply her eyes were closed but she hung on. Rex smiled his master was asleep.

Aki looked up a little worriedly as Rex came in. He kind of laughed when he saw the girl asleep on his back. "Hold on a moment." he said, to no one in particular. Walking over to Pat's desk, he took a few rolls of guaze and bandages, along with some disinfectant cream. He placed a few bills on her desk and walked back to them, smiling a little as he put the items in his rucksack. "Heh, my sister had a little accident earlier."
