Lory pulled away and looked at Keego.

Lily kissed him back. "ok you may have to wait a really long time though" she said smiling a little

hikari spueeled again and grabbed his ear. she stared at it and tried to pull it off his head so she could suck on it but it didn't work.

"Would you rather me talk like a doctor and diegnose you with acute annoya and put you on bed rest?" Taren asked playfully.

Maizah smiled back, "I'm sorry. she said, "I don't know why i'm so emotional today."

Lily twisted his nose again and pulled his face closer. "you better not" she said kissed him softly.

"ok" Lory said.

Taren kissed her back then took his nose out of her grip. picking her up and kissing her, "Twist my nose again," he said, "And i'll put you in bed and not let you up for half a year."

Keego walked with her back into their room and put her into bed, kissing her forehead softly.

Lily smiled and kissed him back. "i'd like to see you try" she said.

Lory curled up under the covers and fell asleep.

"We doctors have our ways of making our patients listen to us." Taren said, still kissing her.

Keego sat down to read while he waited for Lory to wake up.

"if you made me lay in a bed for six months i would die of boredom." Lily said.

"Then you'd best behave yourself." Taren laughed, kissing her a little harder.

Lily pulled away alittle teasing him.

Taren smiled, kissing her neck now.

Taren bounced her a little, holding her closer so he could kiss her.

He held her tight so she could move away, kissing behind her ear now, "Do you promise to be good?" he asked.

Taren nibbled on her neck gently, "That's too bad." he said, "I was hoping not to have to do this.." He started carrying her toward their room.

Lily bit her lip holding back a moan.

"I didn't want to do this." Taren said, "Not while you're still possibly firtal anyway." he went into their room and put her down on the bed, "So we end up with triplets we know who to blame."

Lily smiled and looked up at him.

Taren laid down beside her kissing her neck again, "I'm sorry." he said, "But i can't stop." he was pullind down her shirt now to kiss lower.

"it's ok i know it's hard..." Lily said and moaned softly.

Taren smiled, taking off more of her clothes and kissing lower and lower.

Lily moaned again grabbing the sheets.

Taren smiled at her a little, "Sorry," he said, "I lost control..."

Lily smiled and kissed him softly. "it's ok" she said in a soft voice.

Lory opened her eyes and looked around the room.

Taren kissed her back lightly. he put two fingers on her stomach, muttering in the ancient language. "Still only two." he said, "They're both okay."

Maizah sighed, leaning on Viveks shoulder. she closed her eyes a little, "Vivek?" she said.

"My head hurts." she said, falling asleep in his lap.

"Do you want to order them or make them by hand?" she asked.

vivek just sat there, with maizah asleep on his lap.

"Umm... well, i guess we could make one then ask Vivek for a duplicating spell." Denair said.

Maizah had fevered dreams, she began to shiver even though it wasn't cold.

"hmmm that's true.." zeno said.

vivek was worried, all of a sudden maizah just started shivering. he checked her forehead and found that she had a fever. he set her down lightly on the bed, and went to get taren.

Maizah continued to shiver tossing in her sleep.

Taren came out of the bed room to get a drink of water.

Lory blinked again and her eyes rolled back in her head, then fell forward.

Lily smiled and closed her eyes.

"t-taren?" vivek said seeing him, his voice shaking a little "there's something wrong with your sister.... and i don't know what it is..."

"Lory?" Keego said, rushing to her side and sitting her up right, "LORY!"

Taren looked up, "Um, okay," He said, "let me take a look at her." he went into his sister's room and put a hand to her head. saying some magical words and examining her body. "It's a fever." He said, "Nothing more, though it's bad." he got his bag and gave his sister a shot, "That should help break the fever. if it doesn't seem to be going down, rub her feet. that will help draw the fever down from her head."

Denair got it out of her book and showed him the design with the a verse from 1Corinthians on it.

"i like it!" zeno said smileing.

vivek had fainted.

"I'm glad." Denair said, "I... I made it when i was sixteen."

Maizah stopped shaking a little.

Taren sighed and waved an open bottle under his nose to make him wake up.

"wow.." zeno said "so you really HAVE been planning this since you were 12?"

"Yeah." Denair said blushing.

Taren shook his head, recorking the bottle, "Did you hear a word i just said?" he asked.

"umm... no sorry.." vivek said "i fainted when i heard 'it's a fever'"

"hmm.. ok" zeno said "well someone has to plan these things.."

"Alright, try not to faint this time." Taren said, "It's pretty bad but i gave her a shot that should help. if it doesn't seem to be going down, rub her feet. that'll help bring the fever down from her head, got it?"

Denair smiled, kissing him softly, "So it's not weird?" she asked.

"A shot." Taren said, "Oclar byenzine if you must know, it'll help with the fever."

"Yes." Taren said, exasperated, "I've told you three or four times now, it will help bring down the fever. isn't that what you want?"

Denair moved closer to Zeno, putting her arms around him.

"you gave MY maizah a shot?" vivek asked again, fainting.

Taren shook his head, reviving Vivek again, "How you manged to snag my sister i'll never know." he muttered.

hikari squeeled and pulled harder on his ear.

Lory didn't move her breathing was heavy and her eyes were closed.

Lily fell asleep.

Keego paniced. he laid her back on the bed and ran to get Taren.
he ran into his sisters room. "Taren!" he near screamed, "Something's wrong with Lory!" Taren followed his brother hurridly back to his room.

Lory's shaking got worse and she almost fell off the bed.

Taren put his hands on Lory, muttering in magical words. "I can't find what's wrong." He told his brother
"Well keep looking!" Keego said, holding Lory, trying to make her stop shaking, "You have to make her better!"

Lory's shaking was getting worse and worse.

Taren kept surchering through Lory's body, trying to find the sorce of her shaking.
Keego looked at her, wide eyed and worried.

Lory's shaking got worse then it stopped and she was asleep on the bed as if nothing had happened.

Keego looked at his wife then up at his brother, "What the heck just happened?" he asked.
"I... I don't know." Taren said. let her sleep for now, i'll check up on her later.

Lory shivered and curled up in her sleep.

Taren went to check on Lily.

Keego sat on the bed beside Lory, his a trace of worry left in his eyes. he held her hand close watching her sleep.

Lory opened her eyes slowly and looked around. "what happened?" she asked very confused.

Lily opened her eyes and sat up.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"You woke up," Keego explained, "Then your eyes rolled back in your head and you started shaking. after a while you just stopped and fell back asleep." he was still holding her hand, "Lory, you scared me."

Taren smiled at her, "hey," he said, "Have a nice nap?"

"yep" Lily said stretching.

"ohhh" lory said looking down.

"Lory, do you know why you were shaking?" Keego asked, "If you do please tell me." he hugged her tightly.

"Good." Taren said, kissing her forhead, "I've been quite busy while you've been asleep."

"yeah i guessed you were i mean it seems every time i take a nap something happens." Lily said thoughtfully.

Lory hugged him back. "no i don't know what happened" she said.

"Alright." Keego said, squeezing her a little tighter, "What ever it was it scared the heck out of me." He kissed the side of her head as he hugged her, "I love you."

"Yeah, Maizah came down with a fever and Vivek was being difficalt." Taren informed her, "And Lory was shaking vilently but we don't know why. i found nothing wrong with her body."

"hmm well she had a lot ofmedical problems when she was little do you think that might have anything to do with it?" Lily asked. "thats one of the reasons she was always pinning people to walls.."

"i love you too" Lory said shivering a little for some odd reason she was cold but the room was warm she could feel the heat but it didn't make her warm at all.

"mm, it depends," Taren said, "What kinds of medical problems?"

Keego felt her shiver. he let go off her, covering her with blankets to try and keep her warm.

"i'm not sure my mom wouldn't tell anyone about it. the only people who knew what i was were my mom, dad, and the doctor." Lily said.

the blanket didn't help it seemed to make it worse. her skin was cold to touch and the pain in her stomach was staring to come back too.

"What you were?" Taren asked, raising an eye brow.

Keego frowned, "I'm going to get Taren." he said to her softly.

"i don't even think they told Lory what it was" Lily said thinking alot again.

Lory nodded and pulled the blanket around her more.

"Hmm, so you don't know?" Taren asked, "That could poss a problem."
Keego got up and went to Taren's room, "She woke up." he said, "But she's cold and shaking again."
"Duty calls." He told Lily, kissing her head, "I'll be right back."

"i'm coming she's my sister i want to know whats going on" Lily said as she stood up.

lory curled up on the bed and watched the door. her skin her ice cold now but inside she was burning.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren nodded a little and grabbed his bag, going back to Keego's room. he knelt beside Lory. putting his hands on her feeling magically for what was causing her illness. "A fever." Taren said, "A bad one." He quickly filled a suringe and gave her the the same shot he'd given Maizah. "That should help." he said to Keego, turning back to Lory he asked, "Can you swallow at all?"

Lory nodded but didn't say anything.

Lily watched from the door. it was like being a kid again, Lory being so pale she was almost white, a doctor always near by. i wonder if she'll start coughing up blood too.. Lily shivered at the thought.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"Alright, then I'm going to give you some tea to drink." Taren told Lory, getting a tea bag out of his med. kit. he made the tea and brought it too her. "This will make you feel better." he said handing it to Keego who helped her drink it.
Taren walked over to Lily, "Look familiar?" he asked softly.

Lily nodded "i feel like a kid again, standing at her bedroom door watching her lay in bed all day and throw up. the only thing thats differant is she's not coughing up blood" Lily said tears forming at her eyes.

Lory drank the tea slowly. it's just like being a kid again... she thought. the fevers and the bone chilling cold then the burning heat then... then coughing up blood.. a tear rolled down her face as the horrable memorys came back.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren hugged his wife tightly, "It'll be okay." He said, "It's just a fever as far as i can tell. the med.s i gave her and the tea will make her better in no time."

Keego wipped the tear way from Lory's face, "None of that." he said, "You're gonna be alright. Taren's a good doctor."

Lory rested her head on Keego's shoulder and hugged him tightly.

"i hope your right i can stand seeing her like that again" Lily said a tear falling down her cheek.

Keego hugged her back. putting the mostly empty cup of tea on the bed side table. What about our baby? he asked his brother.
"I know she'll be alright." Taren said, "Have a little faith in my abilities as a doctor." I don't know. he sent back, It's life force is weak.

Lory fell into an uneasy sleep.

Lily couldn't watch any more she ran out of the room and down the halls untill she got lost. she lean against a wall and slowly slid down it.

Taren followed her, finding her sitting against a wall. he sat down next to her, putting his arm around her and pulling her close to him.

Keego watched Lory sleep, his heart acheing at seeing his wife in so much discomfert.

Lily closed her eyes and sat there with him as tears streammed down her face.

"I'm not a quack doctor." Taren said, "I know what i'm doing and if she has something serious i'll find a way to fix it and quick. trust me, she'll be alright."

Maizah started waking up a little but her head still hurt, "Vivek?" she whined weakly.

Lory smiled weakly "yeah a little.." she said and started coughing. She covered her mouth with her hand and when she stopped coughing she moved her hand and seen blood.

"i know but i can't help it," Lily said. "Lory is the only family i have left"

hikari laughed and kicked her feet.

"yes, i think we have!" zeno said smileing.

More tears fell down her face as she coughed up more blood.

Lily didn't say anything she just sat there.

"I'm going to get Taren again." Keego said letting go of her. kissing her head, "I'm sorry."

Lory started shaking again.

Lily opened her eyes and looked around.

Keego ran down the hall, finding Taren.
"Taren." He said, "She's caughing up blood."
Taren stood up quickly, taking Lily's hand, and running after his brother.

Lily's eye grew big and memorys flood through her mind.

Lory pulled her knee's to her chest and sat there shivering.

Keego rushed back in, holding her close.
Taren dug in his bag and pulled out a bottle of meds. and a new suringe. he filled the suringe and gave Lory a shot to stop her from coughing up blood.

Lily didn't go in the room she stood outside and stared at the wall.

Lory stopped coughing up blood but still shivered.

"Cover her up." Taren told Keego who obayed.
Taren went out to talk with Lily. he hugged her tightly, "I'm sorry." he said, "I'll fix her i promise, but i need your help."

"Because you know the most about what's making her sick." Taren said, "I need you to tell me everything you know about it."

"i don't know that much about it though" Lily said. "my mom always kept me away from Lory when she'd get sick"

"it took six years for them to cure it last time and i was only nine then" Lory said. "what if something happens to the baby"

"It'll be okay." Keego assured her, "Nothing will happen to our baby. Taren's going to make you better." Even as he said this he had his doubts. what Taren had said about the baby's life forse being weak weighed on his mind.

Lily sighed and hugged him back.

Lory closed her eyes and trying to tell herself that everything was going to be ok.

Taren stood there, hugging his wife tightly.

"I don't." Keego said honestly, "But i have faith in my brother's abilities as a doctor. i'm sure he'll find a cure."

Taren kissed his wifes head softly, "Now." he said, "What do you know about your sister's illness? the sooner i have an idea what we're dealing with the sooner i can maker her well again."

"well it started when we were three. we were playing by the lake and Lory almost drown after that she got really sick like this but then it was mush worse." Lily said shaking a little.

Lory looked up at Keego her eyes were full of pain and worry. "i hope your right" she said as a wave of sleep hit her. she was to weak to fight it off and she fell asleep.

Taren thought a moment, "I need to speak with her then." he said, "I think i might know what is causing it."

"She and Keego were by a lake when Keego had his attack." Taren explained, "I bet they were in that lake. that might be the common factor."

"yeah but Lory go swimming all the time" Lily said.

"In the lake?" Taren asked, "There's got to be something the same with the water in that lake and the one when you were kids."

"but there so far away from each other"

"I know..." Taren said, "But it's the only conection i can find..." he thought, "I might do some test on the lake to see what's in the water."

Lily sighed. "but how are we going cure what ever it is that Lory has we only know how she got it"

"You'd be surprised how much you can do with that little bit of infermation." Taren said, "If we know how she got it, we can find out what it is and from there, how to cure it."

"ok" Lily said.

"I'm going to check it out." he said, "Do you want to come or stay here with your sister?"

"i'll come with you theres not much i can do here" Lily said.

Taren took her hand and and walked out of the cave. turning into dragon form. Climb on he said.

Lily climbed onto his back.

Taren flew to the lake and waited until Lily was off before turning back into human form and getting out his stuff.

Lily climbed off his back and walked over to the edge. she stared at it to see if it looked any differant but it looked like normal water to her.

Taren took some samples and tested them with magic to see if he could find any bacteria that would have caused this.

(Should he find something, and can he cure Lory?)

Lily watched him waiting for an answer.

(okay, just making sure)

Taren nodded a small smile on his face, "I found it." he said softly, putting his things away and turning back into a dragon. Let's go back, we haven't much time.

Lily climbed on his back. what is it what did you find?

[Hikari Hoshi]

the bacteria in the water is what's making her sick. Taren explained as he flew, her body is over protecting her from it.

ohh... Lily said not really understandingwhat he said.

[Hikari Hoshi]

He flew quickly back and turned back to human form after Lily got of and hurried into the spare room. Setting his stuff up, he turned to his brother, "Keego, i want you to give Lory a bath." he said.
"A bath?" Keego asked, still holding his wifes hand, "Why?"
"It'll help." Taren said, "Just do it."

Lily followed him back to the room. a bath? she thought. is that really going to help?

[Hikari Hoshi]

Keego went and started the bath, "Keep as much steam in as you can." Taren said, "The more she sweats the better it'll be for her." Keego nodded, doing as he was told. Taren began to mix some medicens together, careful not to use to much or too little of one thing.

Lory sat in a chair in the corner amd watched Taren. she felt useless. there was nothing she could do.

Keeog came out and helped Lory into the bath, making sure not to let out any steam. Taren made sure everything was just right before he turned to Lily, "I'm going to make her throw up." he told her, "It's important to get as much of the water out of her as we can. i don't think she swallowed any but it's just to make sure."

Lily shivered at the thought. "ok" she said "i'm going back to the room. i'm tired and i'm not much help here." she said and walked out of the room.

Lory opened her eyes a little and looked at Keego.

Keego smiled a little as he eased her into the tub, "Hey," he said, "I know this looks weird but it'll help."

"Alright." Taren said, getting a few things ready. he felt bad that he couldn't be with his wife right now.

Lily walked in and opened her bag. she pulled out a belt and opened it. the belt was lined with throwing knifes. she took out a knife and threw it at a fly that and flying around the walk.

Lory closed her eyes as her cold skin touched the warm water.

Keego washed Lory carefully, gently rubbing the soap over her skin and rincing in with warm water. steam billowed around them, nearly hiding them from view.

Taren had everything ready.

Lory sat there and watched him her eye lids heavy.

the knife hit the fly and pinned it to the wall. Lily stood up and took the knife out of the wall and stared at the dead fly.

Keego helped her out of the bath, rincing her once more with running water then letting her sweat a little in the steam before wrapping her in a big towel, drying her and dressing her in clean clothes and took her back out to their room. "you might want to be back in the bath room." Taren told them, "You're going to want to be near the sink."
"Why?" Keego asked.
"I'm going to make her vomit." Taren replied.

Lory looked at Taren conufed.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"You remember the lake you were in when Keego had his attack?" Taren asked.
Keego looked down, still ashamed of the incident.

[emogril]

"yeah.." Lory said.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"The water had a bacteria in it that is harmful." Taren said, "To most it would cause a cough and maybe a slight fever. but it seems your body is over protecting you and causing your simptoms. this over protection is doing more harm then it is help. the faster we get all the water out of your body the sooner you'll be well again."

Lory stared at him and blinked.

Taren sighed a little, he got this responce a lot but it still annoyed him a little when people didn't understand what he was saying. "Just trust me." he said, handing her a cup of a fowl smelling liquid.

Lory stared at it. "do i really have to drink this?" she asked.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"I'm sorry, but yes." Taren said, "You'll feel better after you've vomited up what ever water may have found it's way to your stomach. after that I will give you an injection that will help work the water out of your blood. it'll make you tired for a few days but it should cure you."
Keego bit his bottom lip softly. he was still worried about his wife and he didn't like the idea of her throwing up and sleeping for a few days but if that was what it took to make her better... he squeezed her hand gently.

Lory closed her eyes and drank it. a few moments later she felt like she was going to throw up.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren handed her a bucket to be sick in and Keego pulled her hair back so it wouldn't be in the way.

Lory threw up in the bucket and nearly fainted from being so weak.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Keego rubbed her hand and arm to keep her awake. Taren took the bucket, giving her another in case she got sick a second time and emptied the first one.

Lory threw up again and fainted.

Taren came back, taking the bucket and replacing it with the first one. "Keep her in a forward possition." He told his brother who was about to lay her back, "She shouldn't vomit again but just to be safe in half an hour i'll give her the shot."
Keego nodded, leaning Lory forward slightly, kissing her cheek.

Lory opened her eyes alittle then shut them again.

Keego held, Lory tightly.

Taren went back to his room to wash up a little. he opened the door and just barrely avoided getting stuck with a knife.

Lily was just about to throw another one when she seen Taren.

Lory winced at a sharp pain in her stomach.

"I'm going to assume that wasn't meant for me." Taren said, closing the door behind him.

Keego both saw and felt her wince, "Are you alright?" he asked, holding her a little tighter.

Lory nodded and fell asleep.

Lily didn't look up at him. as soon as he was away from the door she continued throwing knifes at the door.

Taren frowned as he watched his wife throwing knives at the door, "Denair won't be happy when she finds all those knife marks in the door." he commented.

Keego frowned as he helded Lory tightly, waiting for Taren to come back and give her the shot that would make her better.

Lily threw a knife at him and then went back to the door. the knife went right past his face and hit the wall.

Taren took the knife out of the wall and went to stand by his wife. "What is your problem?" he asked softly, handing the knife to her. "I told you i'd take care of your sister. it two or three days she'll be back to her old self. don't you have faith in me?"

"they all said she'd be better in a few days but then she'd just get sick again and again.." Lily said almost crying. "i've had to watch her go through so much and i haven't ever done one thing to help"

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren grabbed her by the shoulders, looking into her eyes, "But you did help." he said, "Without you i wouldn't have known to check the lake. You know what happened last time, that infermations is invalueble to us right now. I swear to you, your sister will get better."

Lily didn't look at him. she knew he was right and that Lory was going to be ok but deep down there was a little tiny voice that said that she wouldn't.

Taren could see doubt on her face and he dropped his hands to his sides. "I'm going to take a shower." he said, his voice soft as he walked into the bathroom and closed the door.

Lily didn't move she sat there trying to think of why she might not believe Taren. he had never lied to her so why didn't she believe him.

Taren stepped into the shower and let the water run over him. he wasn't mad, just a little hurt that his wife didn't have faith in him.

Lily stood up and picked up her knifes and put them back in her bag. she laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

Taren sighed as the water ran cold. he got out of the shower, dried and dressed then came back out into the room. "I'm going to give your sister the injection now." he told Lily, as he walked out the door.

Lily didn't say anything or move. she just lay there the onle movment was her breathing.

Taren came into Keego and Lory's room. He filled the seringe and gave lory the injection. "You can lay her down now." he told his brother as he left. he didn't go back to his room, instead going to the garden, sitting on a bench and looking up at the sky.

Lory opened her eyes and watched taren give her the shot and leave. she looked up at Keego and snuggled against him taking in his warmth.

"Hey," Keego said softly, "Feeling anybetter?"

"not really" Lory said weakly.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"You will." Keego said, "The shot Taren gave you will make you better in a day or two."

"i'm sorry.." lory said a tear rolling down her cheek.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"Shh," Keego said, "None of that, it's not your fault." he wiped the tear off her cheek, holding her closer.

Lory hugged him tightly and shivered a little.

"Eveything will be alright." he said, pulling the coveres tighter around her. turning them black to attract the heat.

"i know" Lory said half asleep.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"You should rest." he said softly, "Taren said you'd be tired for a few days while the drug does it's job."

Lory nodded and slowly fell asleep.

Keego watched her sleep, holding her tight.

Lily sighed and sat up. she looked around the room and stood up.

Taren finally got up from the stone bench and walked around the garden a little more.

Lily walked out of the room and down a random hall.

Taren finally turned back into the cave. walking around a little. not really knowing where he was going.

Lily walked around, she had no clue where she was going but she didn't really care. she hadn't eatten anything scence Lory got sick but she wasn't hungry.

Taren eventually ran into Lily. "hey," he said sofly, his hands in his pockets.

Lily looked up at him her eyes filling with tears. what should i say...? she thought as she stared at Taren. she started shaking her body weak from not eating.

Taren frowned, "Hun, have you eaten at all today?" he asked, putting his hands on her shoulders.

Lily shook her head and fell on the floor.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren swore under his breath. i should have paid more attention. he thought, kicking himself. he picked her up and carried her to their room. getting her a glass of water to start with then going and making her a smoothie. "The liquid will be easier for your body." he explained.

"ok" Lily said. she felt worse now. first I don't believe in him then I go and make him worry... she thought.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"just sip slowly." he said, giving her the cup with a twisty straw in it. (one of Maizah's) he sat down on the edge of the bed. "I'm sorry." he said, "I should have been paying more attention to you."

"it's not your falt it's mine.." Lily said a tear rolling down her face. "if i wasn't so helpless i could have gotten it myself.."

[Hikari Hoshi]

"hey," he said, wiping the tear away, "You're not helpless."

"yes i am" Lily said more tears falling down her face.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"Shh." Taren said, hugging her tightly around the shoulders, "No you're not." he insisted, "You can do plenty of things for yourself. and i might add that a woman who can throw knives accurately is far from helpless."

Lily hugged hum back. "i'm sorry.." she said and cried into his shoulder.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren rubbed her back comfertingling, "It's alright." he said softly, "It's not your fault."

Lily closed her eyes and laid in his arms taking in his scent. trying to calme down.

Taren kissed her head softly, still rubbing her back.

Lily snuggled closer to him, not wanting to move.

Taren wanted to hold her forever but the part of him that was the constant doctor said she needed to eat. "You should finish your smoothie." he told her softly.

"ok.." Lily said and drank her smoothie.

[Hikari Hoshi]

He watched her, still kicking himself for being so careless.

Lily finished her smoothie and curled up next to Taren.

"There." Taren said, pulling her closer, "feel better?"

"yeah" Lily said covering her mouth as she yawned.
