[Hikari Hoshi]

The child screamed as Taren helped her to emerge fully from her mother's body. he wipped her off with the purple towel, the color of her hair. Keego took her and went to get her washed up, "Lora." he smiled, "Relax for now Lily, we have our first child. the second will be along in a moment."

Lily smiled a little andn letting go of Keego's hand.

Keego washed Lora and wrapped her in a purple blanket, putting her on Lily's stomach for her to look at, Taren smiled as he watched.

Lily smiled at Lora a tear of joy falling down her face.

Taren smiled a bit more, "She's beautiful Lily." he said softly, "Just like her mother."

"she has your nose" Lily said softly.

Taren fingered his nose a little, "Poor kid." he said, "Are you ready for our second?" he asked softly as Keego took Lora and put her in the purple cradle.

Lily nodded, "yeah" she said softly.

(yeah...i like purple... but the next one's pink. ^_^)

"Alright, the contractions should be starting again." Taren said, taking his place at the foot of the bed and Keego his place, holding Lily's hand.

Lily nodded and got a contraction. She squeezed Keego's hand and closed her eyes.

(hmm... well i was thinking a lighter pink to show that lora, the purple is more out going and Leah, the pink is more shy, but it can be hot pink. ^_^)
Taren watched his wife, "Next contraction start pushing." he told her.

Lily nodded slowly and relaxed a little as the first one past.

Taren checked the second's heart rate real quick. it had begun to drop a little, he frowned, "We'd better deliver her quickly." he said, turning to Lily, "Can you push now?" he asked, "Without waiting for the contraction?"

Lily nodded and pushed it was harder without waiting for the contractions but she didn't it anyway.

Taren continued to frown, watching for the head, "again." he said, looking at his wife with apologetic eyes, "I know it's hard but please try."

Lily pushed again and another contraction came making it easier to push.

Taren was a little releved to see a hot pink head begin to emerge but still worry racked his body. the heart rate had dropped again, "I can see the head." he told his wife, "Once more."

Lily took a deep breath and pushed a scream of pain escaping her lips.

Taren winced a little, pulled his second daughter out, the cord was wrapped around her neck and her face was slightly blue. quickly he cut the cord and unwrapped it from her neck. she wasn't crying as she should be. he smaked her bottom once, nothing, twice, still nothing, three times. she began to breath, to scream. he gave a sigh of relief, wiping her off. "Leah." he said softly.

Lily kept her eyes closed she was to tired to open them or even move.

Taren passed Leah to Keego and his brother took her to be cleaned up. Taren cleaned up the area he'd been working in and sat beside his wife, "Lily." he said softly, taking her hand, "We have two beautiful daughters now." he kissed her cheek, "You did a wonderous thing just now. Sleep, you need rest."

Lily moaned in pain then fell asleep.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren kissed her forehead softly and put her on pain killers. he went over to check on their little girls. they were both sleeping soundly. he check their hearts, lungs, and other internal orgains. all was good. they were perfect. "you can go back to Lory now." he told his brother, "Thanks for your help."
"No problem bro." Keego said, "Congratulations." he walked back to his room.

Lory had been rolling around in her sleep she was having horrible dreams about when Keego had forgoten to take his meds and when she was sick and when they lost the baby. She would try to wake up but each time she failled and would have another more teriffying dream.

Keego came in and saw Lory rolling around on the bed. he sat next to her and gently shook her, "Lory," he said softly, "Lor, wake up."

Taren sat down beside the cradles, rocking them gently as he watched his daughters sleep.

Lory moaned in pain and grabbed her stomach.

"Lory?" Keego asked, "Lory are you alright?" His eyes were filled with consern.

"Keego.." Lory moaned helplessly "help.."

[Hikari Hoshi]

Keego held her in his arms, "How?" he asked, "What's wrong? i don't know what to do." he looked at her, panic welling up in him. he didn't want to disterb Taren, not with the twins just being born.

"wake..." Lory moaned and started shaking.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Keego shook her a little more, trying to wake her up. "Lory," he said, "Lory please, please wake up."

Lory's eyes shot open and she sat up gasping for air as if she had been under water to long.

"Are you alright?" Keego asked, "Lory, what happened?"

[emogril]

Lory burst into tears the dream still fresh in her mind. the last dream she had had was Keego getting killed trying to save her. She started to shaking thinking about the dream.

Keego held her close, rubbing her back comfertingly, "Shh," he said, "It's okay, Lory, it was just a dream."

Lory squeezed her eyes closed hanging on to his shirt not wanting to let go of him ever.

Keego held her close, rocking her a little as he whispered comferting things into her ear.

After a while Lory camled down and opened her eyes. they were red from crying and her voice was weak and shakey. "K..Ke..Keego.." she said weakly.

Keego looked down at her, consern plain on his face, "What is it Lory?" he asked softly.

"don't leave me.." Lory said a little louder then a whisper. She was refering to another dream were she had got pregnant then the baby died like the first and Keego had gotten made and left her alone with nothing but his memory.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"Shh, I'll never leave you." Keego said softly, "Never, i promise."

Lory snuggled closer to him remembering another dream, where Keego had forgotten his meds and drowned himself. "you took your meds right?" she asked.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Keego nodded, "Last night." he said, "Is that's what's worrying you?"

Lory shook her head not in way that said no it's nothing like that but in away that says no theres much more.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"Oh Lory." Keego sighed, holding her a little tighter, "Everything is alright. I'm not going anywhere."

Lory closed her eyes and cried silently remembering the dream about them losing the baby. but that one wasn't a dream it was true every last bit of it was true.

"Lory," Keego said softly, "What brought this on?" He asked, rubbing her back gently, "Was it Lily having her babies?"

"I.. I don't know" Lory said. today had started off with her feelling very ill but she only told Keego that she didn't feel welll and it was nothing to wory about but she had been lieing.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"Lory, you know you can tell me anything right?" Keego asked, holding her a little tighter and kissing her head. "If something's wrong you need to let me know."

Lory shook her head. "I'm fine" she said smiling weakly. She wanted scream because of a sharp pain in her stomach but something told her to hold it in and not tell anyone.

Keego smiled a little back, "Alright." he said softly, "You haven't eaten all day, are you hungry?"

Lory was hungry but the way her stomach felt she thought she would throw up if she ate so shook shook her head, "no I'm not hungry" she said.

Keego frowned again, "Are you sure?" he asked, "It's nearly past lunch and you didn't eat any breakfast."

"I'm just not hungry" Lory said lookung down.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"alright." Keego said, he knew better than to argue with his wife. that only lead to fighting and then he'd leave the room and he didn't want to leave her.

"I'm going to take a shower" Lory said softly and stood up. she almost fell over but used the bed to stay up.

Keego jumped up to help her, "Lory, i don't think you're alright." he said softly.

Lory backed away, "Keego I'm fine" she said.

Keego stopped, sitting down on the bed. "Alright." he said softly. it hurt him a little that she didn't trust him enough to tell him when something was wrong.

Lory wanted to tell him but something made hold it in. she walked into the bathroom and shut the door.

Keego laid back and looked up at the ceiling with a sigh, Why? he asked himsefl, Why doesn't she trust me? what reason could i have given her to keep something from me.

Lory undressed and turned on the shower. She stepped in letting the water run over her body. the pain in her stomach was getting a little better from the hot water and at the same time worse.

Keego sighed and closed his eyes. He envied his brother a little bit. Taren had two beautiful daughters and a wife he close to never fought with. while he was almost constantly arguing with his wife. but he loved Lory and wouldn't traid her for the world. so he laid on the bed and tried to think of what he could have done to make her distrust him.

tears fell down lorys face as she thought about the dreams and this pain that haunted her. this wasn't the first time she had had it. it was more like seventh or eighth time now, but then it was not as bad.

Keego sighed and got up, pacing the room a little, he really wanted to get out but he didn't want to leave Lory.

Lory got out of the shower and dried off. she wrapped a towel around her and walked ou tof the bathroom. She slipped on a wet spott on the floor and fell on her side the pain in her stomach rising sharply. she screammed in pain and grabbed her stomach;.

"Lory!" Keego cried in alarm, rushing over to her hand helping her into his arms, "Lory, what happened, are you alright?" his eyes were wide with consern.

Lory squeezed her eyes shut and held her stomach unable to talk.

"Lory!" Keego said, he picked her up and put her on the bed, "I'm going to get Taren." he told her rushing to his brother's room. "Taren." He said, keeping his voice down so as not to wake the twins, "Taren something's wrong with Lory." His brother set a spell to keep rocking the cradles in his absence and ran with him to back to his room.

Lory screammed in pain again rolling on her side curling up in a little ball.

"LORY!" Keego cried, holding his wife in his arms, "Taren what's wrong with her?!"
Taren examined his sister-in-law, "I'm not sure." He replied, "Her magical flow is weak."
"What does that mean?!" Keego asked.

Lory moaned in pain and started shaking. she had had this problema many times before when she was younger but she had forget about it and knew that she did remember it was to late.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"It means she's dieing." Taren said, "Without her magic, she'll die." he took Lory's hands and and consentrated his own magic into her magical flow.

"Lily...." Lory moaned softly knowing she was the only other person who knew what to do.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren looked at her. he couldn't possibly wake his wife, not after she had just had twins, not after Leah being so difficalt. but if he didn't another life would be lost. "What are you waiting for?" Keego asked his brother, "Go get your wife!"
"I can't" Taren said, "She needs her rest..." he picked his brother's wife up, and carried her to his room, sitting her in a chair by his wife's bed, "Lily." he said softly, "We need your help."

Lily opened her eyes and sat up looking around the room she seen Lory and her eyes got wide. she pulled off a neckless that had a small Vile of green liquid in side. She opened it and put a specal needle on it. she put the needle into her sisters stomach and and then took it out onces all the liqiud was out of it. she put it back on her neck and looked up at Taren.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"What was that?" Taren asked, half unnerved, half fasinated.
Keego was sitting by Lory's side, "Lory." he said softly, "Are you alright?"

Lory didn't move the liquid Lily put in her had put her to sleep. "she's asleep" Lily said to Keego. She looked up at Taren and shook her head. "I can't tell you that it's a family secret"

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren frowned, "A dangerous one by the look of it." he said, "Go back to sleep my love, you need your rest."

Keego nodded a little, picking Lory up and carrying her back to their room and putting her on the bed.

Lily looked over at the cradles and sighed. "ok" she said smiling a little and laid back down.

Taren laid down next to his wife, "They're beautiful." he whispered in her ear, "When you wake up, i'll let you see them but for now, rest."

"ok" she said kissing his cheek softly and falling back asleep.

Taren smiled a little as he watched her sleep. slowly he fell asleep as well. his body was fateged from delivering his two daughters and looking at Lory.

Lory opene her eyes and sat up looking around. her skin was a little green but that was normal.

Keego looked up at her, "Are you alright?" he asked, "What happened?"

Lory smiled, "I'm fine" she said cheeily.

Keego looked at her, not convinced, "What happened?" He asked again.

Lory blinked not knowing what he waas talking about at first. it routine for her to have the shout and forget it ever happened but then it alway seened that people had to ask waht was that and then she had to remember. "ohh that umm it was.." she said trying to thinkof something to say.

Keego watched her, waiting for an answer, his white eyes a little cold.

She sighed and looked down and the ground it was a family curse that they had got from uses to much magic. but she wasn't aloud to tell anyone what it was unless they were family. Lory forgot that Keepo was family and she could tell him. "I..I can't tell you it's a family secret.." she said softly.

Keego frowned a little bit, "So being married to you doesn't make me family." he said softly, "And all this time i thought it did." he stood up and turned away.

Lory blinked she had never thought of it that way that she could tell him about the curse that she didn't have to hide it. now she felt horrible that she didn't tell him and very stupid too.

Keego turned, heading for the bathroom, "I'm going to take a shower." he said.

Lory was going to stop him and tell him but she dicided she would tell him after.

Keego let the water of the shower wash over him as he stood under the shower head, thinking. it hurt him to think that Lory didn't consider him family.

Lory sat on the bed her knees close to her chest.

Keego got out of the shower and dried off. he came out of the bathroom with a towel around his waisrt and began to dress.

Lory looked over at him trying to think of something to say but nothing came to mind so she just sat there watching him tears forming in her eyes from knowing she'd screwed up again.

Keego dressed and sat in the corner, bouncing a ball of light. he didn't want to leave incase something else happened to Lory, but he didn't want to stay either. so he sat in his corner and tried to pretend he was alone.

Tears streammed down Lory's face as she watched him out of the corner of her eye.

Keego sighed a little and stood up walking to the door he left, going to the kitchen and sitting at the table.

Lory just sat there on the bed tears streamming down he face.

Lily woke up a few hours later. She sat up and looked over at the cradles.

"Taren smiled as he woke up, "Ready to meet your daughters?" he asked softly, kissing her ear.

Keego looked at the window that they had cut into to stone cave wall.

"yes" Lily said smiling up at him.

Lory pulled the covers over her head on shivered as the dreams came back.

Taren smiled a little more as he kissed her cheek and went to the cradles. he gently picked the girls up, one in each arm, Lora with her deep purple hair, and Leah with her firey hot pink hair. he gently passed each girl to their mother, sitting next to her on the bed.

Lily smiled down at them a tears of joy fell from her eyes as she watched there beautiful baby girls.

Taren wipped the tears off her cheeks, "They're beautiful." he said softly, "Just like their mother."

Lily smiled "Lora has your nose and leah has your ears" She said smiling down at them.

"Poor Lora." he said, fingering his nose a little, "They have your face though, that makes up for it." he kissed her cheek softly, Leah still had the marks around her neck from the cord.

"I like your nose it's cute" Lily said she seen the marks on Leahs neck and frowned, "what are those from?" she asked.

"oh..." Taren hadn't wanted to tell her what had happened to Leah. he didn't want her to worry. but it couldn't be avoided now, "The cord was wraped around her neck." he said softly, "She wasn't breathing when she came out." he looked down at Leah, "It took a few tries but i got her breathing again and she's fine now."

"oh ok" Lily said. If any other doctor had said that she would have been worried sick but she trusted Taren so she pushed it a side.

Taren smiled and kissed her cheek. "You did something wonderful." he said softly, "You gave life to not one but two beautiful girls. that's more then most people could ever hope to achieve." he smiled down at their daughters, Lora yawned and opened her eyes. eyes the same deep purple as her hair.

Lily smiled "I wonder where she gets the purple from?" she asked. no one on her side of tha family had purple hair. Pink she could under stand because her grandmother had had pink hair a lighter pink but oink all the say.

"My sister." Taren said, "Maizah has purple hair, remember?" he stroked Lora's purple head gently, "though her purple is a little lighter."

"oh I forgot she has purple hair" Llily said she hadn't really seen much of her sister-in-law so it was hard to remember. Leah opened her eyes slowly and looked up at them.

[Hikari Hoshi]

Taren smiled, "Such pretty eyes they have." he said.

Lily nodded, "yeah i know" she said softly.

[Hikari Hoshi]

"Just like their Mother." he said, kissing her cheek. "They're perfect." Lora blinked at her father, then at her mother then at her sister. turning her head like an owl.

Lily smiled, "yeah.." she said softly. Leah looked at them through tired eyes then closed them and fell back asleep.

"Poor baby." he said softly, smiling, "She had a rough birth." he kissed his daughter's head softly, Lora was still looking at them with wide eyes after a moment she began to cry.

Leah woke up and began to cry also. "on dear.." Lily said softly.

Taren sighed a little, "And so it begins." he said, "They're probably hungry. Do you want to nurse them or should i make them a bottle?"

"I can nurse them" Lily said and unbuttomed her shirt and let them eat.

Taren smiled a little then blushed and turned away as his daughters sucked.

Lily smiled and tried not to laugh.

Taren kept his back to her until she was done nusing the twins, a blush high on his cheeks.

When they were done to buttomed her shirt back up and looked at Taren.

Taren turned around once it was safe and smiled at her. Lora yawned and closed her eyes.

Lily yawned too smiled. Leah looked over at Lora then a Lily and yawned.

Taren chuckled softly, "Looks like my girls need more sleep." he said, kissing Lily's cheek.

"sleep is good" Lily said. leah closed her eyes and shuggled closer to Lora.

Lora snuggled closer to Leah. Taren smiled, "It almost seems ashame to put them in differant prames." he said softly, watching his daughters.

"yeah I know" Lily said watching there daughter. Leah moved her arms out towards her sister grabbing the blanket and using it to pull her self closer.

Lora was asleep by now, holding onto Leah's wrist. Taren smiled, "I have an idea." he said softly. he went to the cradles and began muttering in the ancient language as he pushed them together. the two prams became one.

Lily smiled and looked down at Leah and Lora. "oh that worked out well" she said smiling at Taren.

Taren smiled back, he gently took the two sleeping infants and placed them in the now one large pram. he rocked it a little and then sat down on the bed with his wife, kissing her softly.

Lily kissed him back, "there so cute when there sleep beside each other." she said softly.

"Mhmm." Taren said, laying beside her and putting his arm around her, "They are."

Lily rested her head on his chest listening to his heart beat as she watched there two little girls sleep.

Taren kissed her head softly, "You should get some sleep too mommy." he said softly in her ear.

Lily nodded and curled up beside him and closing her eyes, slowly falling asleep.

Taren smiled as he watched his wife and daughters sleep.

Leah moved in her sleep wining every once and a while.

Taren watched his daughters carefully, making sure they were alright.

Keego sighed, finally going back to his room.

Leah started crying after awhile.

Lory had fallen asleep and the dreams had come back. she was tossing and turning and whimpering in her sleep.

Taren picked Leah up, rocking her gently, "What's wrong baby?" he asked softly.

Keego shook Lory gently, trying to wake her up.

Lory woke up and looked up at Keego her eyes filling with tears.

Leah cried harder clinging on to his shirt.

"Shh." Taren tried to quiet Leah, bouncing her gently "Shh, we don't want to wake mommy."

Keego had his hands on her shoulders looking into her eyes, "Lory." he said softy,"I'm sorry."

Leah screammed and cried into his shoulder.

"it's not your falt it's mine.." Lory said not looking at him.

Taren was at a lose for what to do. he took her out of the room so as not to wake the other sleeping girls, patting her back as she cried over his shoulder.

Leah screammed louder and continued to cry.

Lory shook her head, "no it's never your falt it's always mine I'm always messing something up starting somekind of fight.." she said tears streamming out of her eyes.

Taren didn't know what to do, he rocked her, he bounced her he sang to her, nothing would calm her. from inside the room he heard Lora start to cry also. He sighed, "Not you too." he said softly, going back into the room and picking Lora up as well, rocking both girls.

Keego pulled her into a tight hug, "Don't ever say that." he said softly, "It's not all your fault, it takes two to fight. I shouldn't react the way i do."

Lily heard Leah and Lora crying and sat up looking over at Taren. "Whats wrong?" she asked.

Lory didn't say anything she just cried into his shoulder.

Taren shrugged, "I don't know." he said, "Leah just started crying and now Lora's crying too." he looked at the two screaming infants in his arm. Lora gropped at Leah, finally finding her twin's hand and holding it tight.

"give me one" Lily said watching the too of them screamming in there fathers arms. Leah still screammed but not as loud.

Lory closed her eye a few more tears running down her face.

Taren gave her Leah as he rocked Lora in his arms.

Lily rubbed Leah's back soothingly and started to sing to her softly. Leah stopped screamming and listened to her mother sing.

Lory looked up at Keego her eyes red.

Taren smiled a little as he watched his wife with his daughter, Lora had calmed down and held his shirt in her tiny fists. "I guess she likes a mezo voice better than a baratone." he said.

Lily smiled a little as she continued to sing.

Lory smiled weakly and snuggled closer to him.

Taren smiled down at Lora who was sucking her thumb and sleeping soundly.

Taren sat beside his wife, looking down at Leah. "What would i do without you?" he asked softly.

He smiled back, "Alright." he said, throwing on a shirt and going to the kitchen to make them something to eat.

Lory got out of bed and got dressed she walked over to a dresser where she kept all her magic stuff and took out some stuff she need to make the green liqiud that Lily had had around her next.

Keego made them Taco salid and put it into two big bowls, carrying them back to the room on a tray two glasses and a bottle of red wine on it.

by the time he'd come back she had made it and put it in a Vile just like Lily's that hung on her neck.

"what's that?" He asked, setting the tray on the bed.

"it's a cure for the curse" Lory said looking at the tray of food.

"oh," Keego said, his heart hardening a little as he remembered the argument but he pushed the thought aside and handed her a bowl with a fork.

Lory felt uneasy about it and hid it in her shirt. she smiled and took the bowl and fork, "thanks" she said smiling.

He smiled, pouring the wine and eating his own salid.

Lory started eatting her salid. "this is really good" she said smiling.

"I'm glad you like it." Keego said, taking a sip of wine.

Keego smiled a little, "You've got some stuff on your cheek." he told Lory, "here, let me get it." He leaned over and licked her cheek.
