The Tale of Lynia

[Kitty_Chan]

"Sky..." She muttered the name and looked up at the sky. "How pretty..."

[Strega]

"So much unlike me." Sora rummaged through some of the bags, "Is there a horse brush anywhere in here?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked before snapping her fingers. She grabbed her bag and started digging through it. She pulled out her horse brush and handed to Sora. "Here."

[Strega]

"Thanks." Sora smiled at her. He walked back to Tara and started to brush her, "And Lia, you're next."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora smiled at Sora. She stared as she brushed Tara. She blinked and shook her head from her thoughts. Naka looked up at her, cutely.

[Strega]

Sora finished after a few minutes, then switched hands. He started to brush Lia, "So, Aurora, what languages do they understand?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked. "Oh. Only Elven, I think. We don't usually teach our animals the human language. We get afraid it will confuse them."

[Strega]

Sora smiled, "That makes sense."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora shrugged. "I guess. We don't speak much of our language anymore. Only the elders do, they think it's sacred." She looked. "But time has been changing..."

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "Times suck. People turning on their own flesh and blood, prejudice against another being, having to go to others for help, we're all spiralling down into the depths of the unknown."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora looked up. "This war is no better... It's being going on since before I was born... I don't even know what it's about." She looked down, sadly. "I only know that it killed my older brother..."

[Strega]

"It killed my parents and my little sister." her face flashed into his head and he gave a weak smile.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora sighed. "It's killed so many for no reason..." She muttered. "... Qarethnywa..." She mumbled.

[Strega]

"Stupid human you're dealing with. Translation?" Sora handed her the brush back.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora took it, eyes sad. "... It means senseless killing. It's what we've decided to call the war.... War Qarethnywa..." She stared straight forward, eyes distant.

[Strega]

Sora frowned and playfully punched her arm, "You tell me to cheer up, my turn. Cheer up.... Please?"

[Kitty_Chan]

She smiled at him, nodding. "... Yeah." She then hopped onto the caravan, Naka on her shoulder. "Shall we? Our old clothes are in the back."

[Strega]

Sora sighed, "I guess......" he was tempted to ask her a stupid question, but avoided it.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora smiled. "Come on. We need to get going." She picked up the reins, legs dangling over the edge.

[Strega]

Sora took the seat next to her, and nervously glanced at Naka, 'She's just waiting for nightfall.....'
((Yes, he does think all squirrels are out to get him.))

Naka jumped off Aurora and sat in Sora's lap. She yawned before curling into a ball and falling asleep.
"So..." Aurora began. "Where do you come from?"

[Strega]

"Srala Village. It's really rainy there." Sora looked at the sky.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Srala... I've never heard of it." Aurora chuckled. "What did you do there? Did you have a job besides apprentice?"

((Well...I DID come back later....it was just...four hours later. And now almost twenty four hours later.))

[Kitty_Chan]

"Sort of. I was a delivery boy." Sora blushed.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora glanced back at him. "Delivery boy? What did you deliver?"

[Strega]

"Various goods. Sometimes it was the mail, other times weapons, and if I was lucky the baker would have something. He'd gave me pastries and stuff if I got it to the person in a certain amount of time." Sora smirked, "I did odd jobs no one would take."

[Kitty_Chan]

She smiled. "I guess we really are alike." She looked up at the sky. "When my parents died, I had nowhere to live, so I did jobs for food and clothes. I did farming, sewing, and harvesting."

[Strega]

"I guess not having jeans isn't a bad thing, but I'll have to find some for you one day. They're really comfortable if you wear them in." Sora nudged her gently.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora smirked. "Oh really? You mean they're more comfortable than leaves and thrown away rags?" She asked, sarcastically.

[Strega]

"Naturally." Sora laughed, "You're easier to talk to when you aren't paranoid, thinking we're all out to get you." When he said 'we' he meant 'humans'.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked before averting her gaze. 'Hyrthka'. She then smiled, smirking. "Maybe you are." Aurora joked, hiding her thoughts.

[Strega]

"You'd know if I was. I would've failed miserably after you hugged me like that. It would have come spilling out of my mouth." Sora chuckled.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora smirked. "So... If I need you to tell the truth, all I need to do is hug you? Intertesting..."

[Strega]

"Ah! It's not meant to sound like that!!!" Sora blushed, knowing that it would probably work, too.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Too late!" Aurora held up a finger. "You spilled it out! It's your fault, too."

[Strega]

Sora stuck his tounge out at her, mad at his hair for staying in his face.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Baby." Aurora rolled her eyes, laughing softly. She looked up at the sky. "It's probably near afternoon..." She muttered.

[Strega]

"How much longer?" Sora asked, leaning back, then falling backwards into the caravan, "Ooof!"

[Kitty_Chan]

"Nice." She teased. "Anyway, it's about only a bit farther." She pointed in the distance. "See that mountain in the distance?"

[Strega]

Sora sat up and leaned against the back of the seat, resting his arms on it, "Uh-huh."

[Kitty_Chan]

"That's where the fire elves are. They live deep in the moutain." Aurora looked at him. "See? Not too far. But then we will go see the water elves."

[Strega]

"Right...." Sora said, and realized he'd have nowhere to go after words, "........ What if you'd been the one who found me instead of the guards?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked, turning to him. "What brought this up?"

[Strega]

"Random question that I had when we were talking to the Blind Witch." Sora spoke her name quietly.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora looked away, turning back to the front. "I don't know.... I may have taken you to Katari, or..." She trailed off.

[Strega]

"You wouldn't have even thought of taking me to her, would you?" Sora looked at the ground.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora closed her eyes. "I don't know..." She then offered a smile at him. "Let's just be glad the guards found you." She then returned her gaze to the sky.

[Strega]

Sora nodded, "Very."

[Kitty_Chan]

She smiled before blinking, noticing something on the path. "Uma." She said to the horses before jumping off the caravan.

[Strega]

"What is it?" Sora landed next to her.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora knelt down beside a whithered tree. "It's withering..." She sighed, sadly. "I wish I could help...." She stood, saying a short prayer before walking back to the caravan.

[Strega]

Sora sat back down, in the seat, "Can't you?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stopped as her eyes widened before shaking her head. "I don't use my powers." She then sat back at the front of the caravan. "Let's go."

[Strega]

Sora got in the back of the caravan and nodded, 'Why'd she heal my cut then?' Sora's fingered wandered to his cheek where it had been.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora looked at him, knowing his thoughts. "I only use my healing powers. I try not to use my others." She averted her gaze.

[Strega]

"Oh..." Sora mumbled, feeling foolish for thinking that she wouldn't hear him.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Mn..." She looked into the distance. "I hope we can get done as soon as possible." Aurora grabbed Naka, who was sleeping, and placed her on her lap.

[Strega]

"... I don't...." he whispered to himself. Sora thought of ahving no place to go and sighed.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked, hearing him mumble something. "Huh?" She looked at him, confused. "Did you say something?"

[Strega]

"No." Sora shook his head.

[Kitty_Chan]

She glared. "Don't lie. I KNOW you said something, now what was it?" She demanded.

[Strega]

"Nothing." ((Got to eat, be right back.))

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora continued glaring before sighing. "Whatever." She decided not to push the matter.

[Strega]

Sora went back to his thinking and shuddered, 'Happy thoughts, happy thoughts!'

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora looked down, the two in a silence. She sat, bored, trying not to think. She always thought of her memories at times like this.

[Strega]

~'Sora! Come play!' a small girl with brown hair tugged on Sora's shirt, 'Come on!'~ Sora had fallen asleep and was slightly moving in his sleep. ~'O-okay!' Sora at the age of eight followed the little girl, 'Cloud, where are we going?'
She giggled, 'Where Uncle said not to go.'
'Cloud.....'
'He won't know!'~

[Kitty_Chan]

"Hey..." Aurora gently shook Sora. Wake up..." He had been tossing and turning. "Nylo... Wake uup..."

[Strega]

"Will too!" Sora's eyes opened, "Huh?" he blinked at Aurora, "Oh.... It was just a dream...."

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked. "You've been asleep for a few hours." It was dark out. "I figured you would want me to wake you up and have you eat." Aurora smiled at him, getting up and jumping off the caravan to make a fire.

[Strega]

Sora rubbed his eyes, yawned, stretched, and, rather gracelessly, fell off the caravan, "OW!"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora laughed at him as she set up two blankets on opposite sides of the fire. "HAHA!" She stopped, blinking and sighing. "So, I suppose you're going to have some meat, huh?"

[Strega]

Sora blinked at her as he straightened himself, "What do you mean? Most animals aren't out at night, not much I'd be able to catch, I can't see in the dark either."

[Kitty_Chan]

"GGRRRRR!!!" Suddenly, Naka's fur stood straight up as she jumped from the caravan and into a bush. Aurora blinked. "Naka?"
Naka reappeared, holding a dead rabbit in her mouth, proudly. Aurora screamed.
"NAKA! What did you do?!?" Naka waltzed to Sora, placing the creature at his feet. She then looked up at him, cutely.

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "Suck up." he smiled, "But thanks."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at Naka before huffing. "I'll never look at her the same way!" She folded her arms before lying down on the blanket closest to her. "You go first with your shift, okay?" She asked Sora, yawning.

[Strega]

"Okay." Sora said, skinning the rabbit.

[Kitty_Chan]

She grimaced before closing her eyes. She sat there for a bit, before she couldn't hold in her question. "Hey... Is it okay if I call you Nylo?" She asked Sora, eyes still closed.

[Strega]

"Nylo?" he asked, finally cooking the rabbit.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Yeah..." She opened her eyes and looked at him. "... It means 'sky' in my langauge, but I prefer to use my own. If you don''t want me to, it's fine."

[Strega]

Sora smiled, "It'll take a little to get used to, but sure."

[Kitty_Chan]

She smiled back. "Okay then, Nylo." She turned on her back, closing her eyes. After some time, she eventually fell asleep for a few hours.

Aurora panted as she walked up a volcano's side. She was in her usual clothes, panting. Dirt was all over her outfit and her body, along with some scrapes. The caravan and Sora were nowhere in sight. Tied to her neck was Sora's bandana, blood smeared all over it. She reached the edge, still panting. She stood, staring into the center. Suddenly, a shadow loomed over her and her eye's widened. The figure shoved into the volcano. Her mouth was open, but no scream came out. Aurora stared at the figure laugh as she fell to her death.

"Aha-!!" Aurora sat up, sweat on her face. She looked around frantically before putting a hand over her face, shuddering.

[Strega]

"You okay Aurora?" Sora head a harmonica in one hand, his other on her shoulder, the bandana around his neck.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora's eyes widened as she heard his voice. She looked at him before her eyes saw the bandanna. No blood on it. She sighed, semi-relieved. "Just a dream..." She muttered.

[Strega]

"Okay." he nodded, then went back to playing a sorrowful tune, Naka in his lap.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at him, eyes sad. She wanted to tell him, but...
She sighed, sitting cross-legged. "You can sleep if you want. I'm not tired." She said, offering a fake smile.

[Strega]

Sora put the hatmonica down and studied Aurora's face, "Aurora....."

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked. "...What?" She stared at him with her normal eyes. She had tught herself to put up a mask, and most couldn't see it.

[Strega]

Sora leaned towards her, "You'd tell me if something was bugging you, right?" worry filled his eyes, the fire flickered in his eyes.

[Kitty_Chan]

She averted her gaze. "It was... about my past..." She said, not looking at him. 'Mostly...' she whispered in her head.

[Strega]

"It doesn't seem like it...."

[Kitty_Chan]

"It was..." She said, closing her eyes. "... a day I hope will never come..." Aurora whispered, as if speaking of the day would make it come.

[Strega]

Sora reflexivly ((Is that even a word?)) reached out and hugged Aurora.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora's eyes widened, but she just sat there, body limp. She had never gotten close to anyone.

[Kitty_Chan]

[Strega]

Sora realized what he was doing and recognized it as breaking most of his own rules, but ignored them, "I hope not, too then."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora sat there, averting her gaze. Whenever she had a premontion, she was always right. Just like with her parents.
'There's nothing we can do... but pray...' She thought to herself.
'I.... don't want you to die....'

[Strega]

'Should I let go?......' Sora was half asking himself, but he didn't mind hugging her.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora closed her eyes, sadly. "Just be careful... Sora..." She muttered to him.

[Strega]

"Me? Careful? You're kidding, right? I can't even wake up without falling." Sora rolled his eyes, slowly pulling away from Aurora. The bandana suddenly seeming too hot and too heavy.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora sat there, still looking down. "Just...." She trailed off, sadly. "... Don't do anything reckless...." She looked up at him. "...Okay?"

[Strega]

"Waking up is reckless, Aurora." Sora raised an eyebrow.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora just stared at him. She knew he was trying to help, but...
She sighed, taking and holding his hand. "Please? Just promise you won't do anything that is more dangerous than your normal life?" She looked into his eyes.

[Strega]

"I'll try." Sora held up his pinkie finger.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora wrapped hers around his, sighing. She let go and stared up at the sky, worried.

[Strega]

"Nothing will happen to me, I promise." Sora smiled again.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora just stared up at the sky before she closed her eyes. 'Please...' She whispered to the stars. '...Let it just be a nightmare....' Aurora then brought her knees to her chest and sat like that, staring at Sora. "... You can sleep. I'll be up for a while."

[Strega]

"Not tired." Sora went back to the harmonica, the tune still sorrowful.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at him before looking back up at the sky.
'Tomorrow...' She thought. '... We'll arrive at the volcano....' She watched Sora. ...'He's supposed to die either tonight or on our way there....' She nodded to herself. 'I'll change it....'

[Strega]

Sora ended the song and started the tune Aurora had been singing.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora began to hum to it. This song had always made her feel better. 'The stars will protect us...' She smiled softly to herself.

[Strega]

"It's a nice song." Sora finished.

[Kitty_Chan]

"My mother taught it to me when I was little." Aurora stated. "She always told me that the stars were angels, and that they would protect me." She held her knees closer. "... But they didn't save her..."

[Strega]

"There's a reason for everything..... Do you play any instruments?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora shook her head. "No... I never learned how."

[Strega]

"I could teach you..." Sora held it up, after wiping the mouth part out of habit.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora smiled at him. "No thanks, I prefer to try the flute..." She pulled off her necklace, a small flute attatched. "It was my mother's but I've never played it..."

[Strega]

"Flute? .... Not as good, but I can play."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora handed it to him. "I don't know how it plays... it's pretty old..."

[Strega]

Sora held it close enough to where it was almost touching his lips, but not quite doing so. He started to play and an up-beat fast song flowed out, his fingers danced happily along the instrument.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora watched him play. She had always watched people play, but she could never do so herself.

[Strega]

Sora pulled it from his face and wiped away a few tears, "So, I can teach you."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora shook her head. "No one can. I play by memory."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Then do I need to play slower?" Sora tilted his head to the side.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora sighed. "Not that kind of memory. I mean that I can only play by using my memories." She looked down. "But, I don't have any good memories, so my songs are always sad."

[Kitty_Chan]

(( hey, i might not get on much today, my dad decided to make us clean all day so i've been doing so since 12:00 :( ))

[Strega]

Sora thought for a second, "But things are getting better."

[Kitty_Chan]

(( it does. i cleaned my room and some of the downstairs, tho. i've done the most so i can use that to my advantage, lol ))

Aurora blinked before smiling up at him. "I guess."

[Strega]

"So..... Since neither of us are tired, what do you want to talk about?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora thought about it before taking the flute. "I have a memory." She smiled sweetly.

[Strega]

Sora smiled and leaned back, "Okay, talk if you want to."

[Kitty_Chan]

She looked at him before concentrating on her memory. She closed her eyes and began to play. The tune was a mysterious one that had a hint of anger and confusion. It started out slow but slowly quickened it's pace by a bit.

[Strega]

Sora listened, his eyes watching her fingers move across the instrument, Die Romantic started to play around in his head for no odd reason.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora played for what seemed like forever to her. The memory played over and over in her head to keep the song going. Finally, she slowed it down until it had stopped.

[Strega]

"You're good. May I ask to what your memory was?" Sora asked.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked before smirking at Sora. "Our first meeting."

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "Good thing it wasn't all hate, I would've started to worry." he leaned a little closer to the fire and whispered something, the flames grew taller and warmer.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora eyed him. "What was that? Your black magic?"

[Strega]

"Some. Just like you can do with animals, I can speak to the elements. They have feelings just as animals and other things do. Black magik just shows another way of using them. If I screwed up and say..... anger one of the elements, like burn down an entire section of woods, I wouldn't be able to use my magik." Sora smiled at the fire, brushing his hand through it.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared as Sora brushed his hand throuh the fire. She didn't partically like it.

[Strega]

Sora removed his hand, still staring at the flames, "My favorite element to use is lightning."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora huffed. "Why would you even use powers like that? Ones that can injure and destroy?"

[Strega]

"Protection. When you grow up surrounded by violence, it's the only way to stay alive." Sora didn't mind the question, no matter hos feirce she said it.

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked before staring back into the fire. How can such a wild force protect someone? Aurora sighed, taking her mind off of it. She had learned to let things go.

[Strega]

Sora leaned forward and made the fire thinner, then small enough to fit into the palm of his hand, then made it go back to normal, but it didn't destroy the wood beneath it.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at it, half-curious half-frightened. "... It may be able to protect..." She began. "... But it is mostly used to kill."

[Strega]

"And it brings forth new life."

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked. "What?"

[Strega]

"The pheonix, ashes are great fertilizer, etc." Sora said, "Water gives energy and we need it to survive, earth we get food from, you get my point."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora looked back down. "Fire isn't needed, though. Our race has gone through many generations without it."

[Strega]

"Yours has. Mine hasn't. It keeps us warm, it does provide some energy, it heats our food." Sora looked at her.

[Kitty_Chan]

She huffed. "Well, maybe your race should take some help from ours, not going to war with us."

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "You're kidding me right?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora shook her head. "Nope. Our race IS superior, that could be the reason for this war. Maybe the humans fear that we will kill them or rule over them." She shrugged. "But who knows?"

[Strega]

"No. We're stupid, brash creatures who hate other beings. We want control of everything and will do anything to get our way."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at him. "Now your siding with me? I know not ALL humans are like that. There can be a few who are different. Just like with elves. Some are greedy, others are caring."

[Strega]

"Most humans. I have my moments were I act like everyone else."

[Kitty_Chan]

She looked away. "I can tell..." She muttered, playfully.

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "And you have your moments were you could blend in with the humans, too, you know."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora huffed, folding her arms. "I do not! I'm nothing like your kind!"

[Strega]

"Who sat on who to get someone to blush?" Sora raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms.

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked before blushing lightly. "So? I was doing it out of kindness, not to make fun of you."

[Strega]

"But, you did it to get your way, and, sadly, it worked. Me? I could never be like an elf. Too human."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at him. "It doesn't matter if I have SOME attributes of a human. And you're right. You re NOTHING like an elf." She smirked. "Elves are kind, fun, and CARING TOWARDS ALL LIVING CREATURES."

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "Yup, I'm too human."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Exactly my point." She smiled before glancing at the sky. It was starting to lighten up. "It's almost dawn already..." She blinked.

[Strega]

Sora ran his hand over the fire, whispered again, and it disappeared.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked, glancing at the burnt wood. It was dark, but light enough to see a few feet in front of herself.

[Strega]

Sora stared into the forest, "A rabbit was born."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked before concentrating. She opened her eyes agian, eyes soft. "Yup..."

[Strega]

"Where'd Naka slip off to?" Sora looked around.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora glanced around. "Naka!!" She called, standing. She blinked, noticing some mvement in a tree nearby. Naka came out, followed by two baby squirrels. Aurora smiled.
"She was a mother when we found her..."

[Strega]

"Oh...." Sora blushed slightly. He couldn't beleive he hadn't noticed.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora turned to him. "You still can't eat ANY of them, got it?" She smirked, playfully.

[Strega]

"I know, mother." Sora rolled his eyes.

[Kitty_Chan]

She smiled. "Good." She looked up at the sky before images ran through her head. She dropped to her knees, holding her head.
It was afternoon.
Figures were holding Aurora back.
Someone held Sora
They raised up a sword and....
"No....!" She whispered to herself.

[Strega]

"Aurora?" Sora knelt beside her, a hand on her shoulder.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora's eyes shot open.
'Afternoon... it will only take maybe 4 hours to get to the volcano...' She thought. 'I can stop it!'
She stood, quickly packing up the stuff. "We have to go." She told Sora.

[Strega]

"Aurora, what's wrong?" Sora stood.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stopped, staring at him. "... We have to stop the future I saw in my dream." She said, not wanting to talk about it.

[Strega]

Sora frowned, "Okay, no more vagueness. What did you say? Or I'm not moving from this spot."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at him. She averted her gaze.
"In my dream." She whispered. "... I was climbing the volcano... alone..."

[Strega]

Sora stared at her and swallowed.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora continued looking down. "... And I made it to the top, but was thrown in..." She closed her eyes, the images playing over and over. "... Just now, I saw what was to happen... today..." Aurora looked at him. "That's why we have to go NOW! So I can stop it!" She cried.

[Strega]

Sora hugged her again, "You're strong, but you can't do it alone."

[Kitty_Chan]

She smiled softly. "Then you have to help me."

[Strega]

"I will." ((I'll be on for 8 or 9 more minutes, then I have to get off.))

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at the ground, smiling. She blinked, coming out of her daze. She gently pushed Sora away. "Come on. It'll take a few hours to get there, but we need to get going. We have to get there before the afternoon."

[Strega]

"Okay." Sora nodded, getting into the caravan.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora got on as well, determined. "Akno! Mavoc!" She called to the horses, who began to walk a bit faster than usual.

[Strega]

Sora started to play the harmonica again.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared straight ahead. 'He won't get me...' She thought. 'He won't find me....'
Suddenly, the caravan hit a bump. Aurora gawked as she jumped into the air before dropping the reins. She fell backward, the horses going out of control.

[Strega]

Sora fell, the harmonica clattered out of his hands, "Ow! Always onto the ground!"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora cursed under her breath and grabbed the reins, pulling onto them. The horses stopped and she sighed, relieved.

[Strega]

Sora sat up, then stood, blood trickling down the back of his neck, "Ow." he wiped some up.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora glanced back and gasped as she saw the blood. "I'm sorry!" She went back and healed his wound.

[Strega]

"It's okay. A little fall didn't hurt anyone too much." Sora smiled and laughed.

[Kitty_Chan]

She smiled back. "I guess not." She glanced at the horses again. "I'll make them go a bit slower..."

[Strega]

"Okay." Sora got back on the caravan.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora sighed, grabbing the reins. "Akno." She said and the horses began to go again. They were going slower, but not as slow as when they started.

[Strega]

Sora leaned back, but only a little, "Mind if I go to sleep?" he yawned.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Go ahead." She said without turning around. "It may be a while."

[Strega]

Sora nodded and closed his eyes, 'Please... No nightmares... No memories, not of Cloud, not today.....'

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared straight ahead, thoughts running through her head. She narrowed her eyes as she thought of him. 'I won't ever see him again...' She thought. 'He's gone...'

[Strega]

~"C'mon Sora!!!" Cloud tugged at his sleeve.
Sora slowly followed her to the barn their uncle had said not to go into. It looked like a place of torture, metal objects Sora couldn't identify hung from hooks on the wall, it was dusty and the siblings sneezed.
"What are you two doing in here?" the words were slurred.
They turned and their blood froze.
"Uncle...." Sora stared, mouth open.~ Sora woke up and tried to slow his breathing.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora came out of her daze, glancing back. "... You okay?" She asked. He had been asleep for an hour or so.

[Strega]

"Fine...." Sora murmered, staring at the bags next to him.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at him, sadly. "You don't look or sound okay..."

[Strega]

"Just things I'm trying to forget." Sora shook his head.

[Kitty_Chan]

She stared at him before looking away. "Unwanted memories.... right?"

[Strega]

Sora nodded, "Too many..."

[Kitty_Chan]

"We've all got them, I suppose..." She sighed, looking up at the sky.

[Strega]

"Guess so. I'll never get any sleep this way, though...." Sora frowned.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora smiled back at him. "Think about good memories or happy things before you sleep. That's a strategy that works almost all the time. Unless you need to know the memory or whatever, it shouldn't haunt you in your sleep."

[Strega]

"... I don't think before I fall asleep, and there's not much that I remember fully...."

[Kitty_Chan]

She sighed. "Then think happy thoughts, like eating meat or whatever makes you happy." Aurora smiled back at him. "It should work half the time."

[Strega]

"I'm that unlusky other half, how much longer?" Sora half whined the last part.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora looked up at the sky. You couldn't see the stars at all. She then looked forward, at the volcano. "... three, maybe four hours?"

[Strega]

Sora made an whining chuckle type thing, "I'm gonna die from my impatientness!"

[Kitty_Chan]

She laughed softly. "Just be patient..." She stared forward again, looking at the volcano.

[Strega]

"But I lack patience..." Sora whined.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora didn't hear him. She just stared forward, eyes widening a bit.

[Strega]

Sora waved a hand in front of her face, "Woo hoo, I'm complaining. You're supposed to yell at me."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora grabbed his hand as she continued staring forward. She squinted her eyes to see better.

[Strega]

"What's wrong?" Sora asked, pulling his hand back to his side.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora just stared forward. She finally was able to see what she had been trying to. Her eyes shot wide as she stopped the horses.
"Tych!" She cursed, standing, trying to get a better view.
"Tych, tych, tych...." She cursed under her breath. "Do we have any binoculars?!?"

[Strega]

Sora nodded and handed her some, "Yup."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora snatched them and looked through them. She then began to curse some phrases under her breath as she stared through the binoculars.

[Strega]

"What is it?" Sora asked, thinking he partially knew the answer.

[Kitty_Chan]

"A human camping ground. There's a lot of them there and they're at the bottom of the mountain." She handed them back, sighing. "I may have to scare them away."

[Strega]

"You can, but if they're mountainers, it's not gonna scare them." Sora was relieved it wasn't the answer he thought.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora shook her head. "Not that kind of camping ground..." She trailed off for a bit. "... It's an army camping ground..."

[Strega]

Sora's blood froze, "You sure it was an elf in your dream?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora blinked at him. "An elf? What do you mean?"

[Strega]

"Someone pushing you off the cliff or whatever it was." Sora knew the cruelty of the army.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora averted her gaze. "... I know exactly who it was..." She muttered.

[Strega]

"Would this person be willing to work with humans?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"It's not an elf..." She whispered, memories coming back. "... It's a human..."

[Strega]

Sora shivered, "We best stay clear away...."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora shook her head. "We have to get up that mountain. If not now, then maybe never." She sat back down, taking hold of the reins. "I might be able to scare them away long enough for one of us to run up it and get help from the fire tribe."

[Strega]

"It won't scare them, Aurora, it will make them-"
"What do we have here?" a voice sneered behind them.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora's eyes widened as she turned around. A human was staring at them. She growled, taking out her twin blades.

[Strega]

"No need to get hostile, kitty." someone said behind them.
"The magik kid. Didn't think he'd live." a third snickered.
Sora looked at the three of them and smirked as roots and branches covered their mouths and pulled them into the ground with three crunches, "We need to go. Now!"

[Kitty_Chan]

She nodded before yelling to Lia and Tara. "Pynth!" Suddenly, the caravan seemed to disappear. "It'll only slow us down. Let's go!" Aurora cried as she began to run.

[Strega]

Sora ran, he was fairly fast and stayed at her pace easily, "They suspect something." he muttered.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora didn't seem to hear him 'He'll find me!' She cried in her thoughts. 'He'll find me!'
She wasn't paying attention to where she was running as tripped over a root. She fell down, blinking.

[Strega]

Sora picked Aurora up and whispered something, the roots avoided his feet as he carried her.

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked before squirming. "Put me down! I"m fine!" She rasped into his ear. "I'm not in pain!"
