"But I can't....." Sora looked at the ground. What his uncle had said, made sense. And there was a chance the villagers knew, too.
"You fool of a boy." John laughed harder.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora growled and kicked Jack's head. "Shut up! We didn't give you the right to speak!"

[Strega]

".... Coward." Sora mumbled to his uncle, "You coward!"
"What?!" Jack hissed.
"You banished me... Out of fear. You make me out as the bad guy. You make them believe you. Out of fear. Lousy chicken."

[Kitty_Chan]

"That does sound like him. He has to use soldiers and others to do his dirty work." She snickered.

[Strega]

"Do not." Jack growled, struggling against the vines.
Sora danced to a tune in his head, "Then why did you beat to children who rarely did anything to deserve the scars?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"And why do you need lemings to chase us? Are we that sneaky?" She shrugged. "I don't think so. The truth is that you're an idiot coward."

[Strega]

"Not." Jack spat at her.
Sora kicked Jack's side, "Watch it! She was 5, Jack, 5. How could you do it? How could you?"
"To get rid of her and watch you suffer."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at them. "Scythe, you are a cruel man. Anyone who acts as you faces a terrible fate..." She closed her eyes.

[Strega]

"I fear nothing." Jack glared.

[Kitty_Chan]

"I thought you would say that." She sighed. "It's usually good attribute, but it doesn't really work for Sora and me, does it?"

[Strega]

Sora shook his head.

[Kitty_Chan]

"So Sora, what do you want to do with him since he doesn't fear ANYTHING?" Her eyes glistened with mischief.

[Strega]

Sora smirked, "Ever heard of a ((Trying to think of what it's called in Hidalgo, I think it's a Texas Tattoo or something like that.... Oh well, that's what I'm calling it.)) Texas Tatto?"

[Kitty_Chan]

(( i don't know either. i've never heard of it))

Aurora shook her head. "What is it?"

[Strega]

((Gah. You have got to watch Hidalgo! Awsome movie!))
"Well, usually, you'd take the spurr of a cowboy boat and dig it into someone's neck, and I do believe Jack has a spur in his pocket...." Sora rummaged through it a bit.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora tilted her head to the side. "Cowboy? Spurr? What are you talking about?"

[Strega]

"Human thing." Sora chuckled.

"Before you give him the tattoo, Sora, i have more questions for him." She glared at Jack. "Who I KNOW will answer them all."

[Strega]

Jack glared at her.
Sora nodded.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Scythe, why did you come to my house? You were arguing about 'paying' right? What was it for?"

[Strega]

((... You make it sound like I'm supposed to know... -_-'))

Jack smirked, "Why do you care?"
Sora hooked the spurr onto his shoe and dug it into the side of Jack's neck, "Talk." he fingered the scar on his own neck.
Jack's eyes widened with pain.

Aurora stared at him, eyes cold. "I want to know why you killed them then took me as a price."

[Strega]

Jack laughed, "They owed me money."
Sora growled, "That's not an answer. " he dug the spurr deeper.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Make some sense! Why did they owe you money?!?" She growled, tightening the vines.

[Strega]

"For your protection!" Jack spat the words out.
"So you get paid to prtect people, but will harm the kids under your care?" Sora glared.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at him, eyes wide before she glared. "So you protect my family until they can't pay, THEN you kill the parents and wait for the child to serve you?!?"

[Strega]

Jack nodded, "Yup."
"JERK!!!!" Sora growled.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora walked over to him, clenching the knife in her hand. She stopped, staring down at him. Her grip was so tight that her knuckles were white.

[Strega]

"We shouldn't kill him..." Sora whispered in her ear.

[Kitty_Chan]

She nodded slowly before an evil smile appeared on her face. "Scythe... Do you know what I think?"

[Strega]

"What?" Jack rolled his eyes.

[Kitty_Chan]

She held up the knife, staring at it. "I think you deserve yourself a fine elven mark on you."

[Strega]

"An elven what?" he asked.

[Kitty_Chan]

She knelt down and began carving a design into the ground. "A special mark that we elves only give to lucky humans." She smirked. "That is placed on your very soul forever."

[Strega]

Jack blinked, "Wuh?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"It's a curse. It starts with causing spasms but it gradually gets worse. It begins to eat away at your mind, causing you to see and hear things until it finally makes you go crazy. It's called the Xayrakna, and I think you deserve it."

[Strega]

Jack stared at her.
Sora shrugged, "Guess that'll work."

((Ack, got to go to bed. Night.))

Aurora smirked. "I'm glad you agree, Sora. Are you ready Scythe?"

[Strega]

Jack glared at the both of them.
Sora walked over to a tree and leaned on it, rubbing his neck.

Aurora stared at Sora before sighing. She walked over to him, whispering. "... I won't hurt him if you don't want me to..."

[Strega]

"You can, it's just, my neck hurts...." Sora kept rubbing it.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Is it because I accidently knocked you into the tree?" She asked, worried before she covered her smile.

[Strega]

"Naw, it was the way he had my neck." Sora smiled, shaking his head, "Now go on."

[Kitty_Chan]

She looked over at Jack before shaking her head. "I can't do it."

[Strega]

Sora chuckled, "We aren't that different I guess....."
Jack laughed, "You're both weak!"

[Kitty_Chan]

"I just... can't kill another living creature, no matter how evil." She stared at the ground.

[Strega]

"It's not killing...." Sora pointed out.

[Kitty_Chan]

"If I was the cause of his death by placing a curse on him, then I'd still be a murderer and a hipracrit."

[Strega]

"... You do have a point there....." Sora murmered.
Jack scoffed, "Too weak to-"
"Silence! The lady and I are talking!"
A vine wrapped over Jack's mouth.
"Much better...."

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora smiled softly. "See? If I know what it's like to have a curse and be haunted by it, then why give it to someone else?"

[Strega]

".... Hmmmm..... we should be able to think of something....." Sora rubbed his chin.

[Kitty_Chan]

She looked around before whistling. The wolves came running to her, tongues hanging out.

[Strega]

"Can I pet one, or will it bite me?" Sora asked.

[Kitty_Chan]

She shrugged. "I don't think they will." She pet the one closest to her before looking at Jack. "Hey, Scythe! Do you like wolves?"

[Strega]

Sora pet one as Jack squirmed uncomfortably.

[Kitty_Chan]

She turned to Sora. "Hey, don't you think he would just LOVE to spend a night or two with these guys?"

[Strega]

Sora smirked, "I don't know... well, he doesn't fear anything...."

[Kitty_Chan]

She nodded as three of them began to circle Jack, sniffing him with their teeth bared. They growled a low growl. "Look, you can tell that they love him."

[Strega]

"Oh, yes. His kind of love." Sora nodded.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Only this time HE'S the child." She winked.

[Strega]

Sora grinned, "Couldn't have planned it any better...."

[Kitty_Chan]

She knelt down to the alpha wolf, ruffling it's ears. "You're in charge of watching this man. Don't eat him unless you can't stand it, okay? And make sure that Kira and Zeke don't fight, too."

[Strega]

Sora started walking into the woods.

[Kitty_Chan]

She stood, waving as she walked away. "Bye guys! I love you!" She then smirked at Jack. "Have fun, Scythe!"

[Strega]

Sora put his arm around Aurora's shoulder, the other hand in his pocket, "You put up a good show." he was shaking slightly.

[Kitty_Chan]

"What do you mean?" She blinked.

[Strega]

"You didn't seem.... scared, and if you weren't, you're crazy." Sora shook his head.

[Kitty_Chan]

"I was scared. But, when you have something to fight for, then your fear is the least of your problems."

[Strega]

"....." Sora just gave her a one armed hug.





((I have to go, I don't know if I'll be on later tonight.....))

She blinked, blushing lightly. "What's that for?"

[Strega]

Sora shrugged, "Payback, I guess."

[Kitty_Chan]

She huffed. "Whatever then."

[Strega]

"What? You wanted me to blush, and hugged me to do so, and the red looks great on you." Sora laughed.

She folded her arms. "Hmpf."

"Oh, I'm sorry..." SORA looked at the ground.

She rolled her eyes, stopping in front of him. "You say sorry too much."

[Strega]

"Sor-" Sora stopped himself.

[Kitty_Chan]

She pivoted on her foot and started walking away. "See what I mean?"

[Strega]

Sora looked at a tree and whispered to it, "Am I always screwing up?"
The tree just chuckles.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora glanced back at him. "Come on, we got a ways to go to get back to the caravan!" She called.

[Strega]

Sora sighed and trudged along.

[Kitty_Chan]

She waited for him to catch up, looking at the sky.

[Strega]

"You coming?" Sora teased.

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked before nodding. "Yeah." She started walking again.

[Strega]

He put his hands behind his head as he walked.

[Kitty_Chan]

The two walked in a silence except for Aurora's twin blades clanking on her belt. She looked around. "... I don't recognize any of this..."

[Strega]

"10 more minutes, then we'll be at the horses." Sora reassured her.

[Kitty_Chan]

She stared at the ground, uncertain. They HAD come from the other way...
She sighed. "Whatever you say."

[Strega]

"Not what I saw. The trees." he motioned.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Then whatever the trees say." She rolled her eyes.

[Strega]

Sora chuckled as they came to the horses, "See?"

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked, running to the horses. "I thought you guys would be hiding?" She asked them before they gave her a response. She nodded. "Ah."

[Strega]

"Shall we?" Sora sighed.

[Kitty_Chan]

She nodded before hopping on and pulling out a map. She looked it over.

[Strega]

Sora got into the caravan, rubbing his neck.

[Kitty_Chan]

"If we go this way..." She began muttering to herself, wonderingly.

[Strega]

Sora leaned back and closed his eyes. He fell into a sleep. A rare, deep sleep.....

[Kitty_Chan]

"Hmm..." Aurora thought before turning to Sora. She blinked, seeing he was asleep. She shrugged, putting the map away and grabbing hold of the reins. "Let's go, guys."

[Strega]

~~~"Come on!!! It's my birthday!!!!" an older woman pulled on a kid version of Sora's sleeve, then picked him up, "It's ________'s Birthday!" she laughed.
"I love you _______!" he hugged her neck.
Scene fades to black.....~~~

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared ahead as the horses trotted on. Today had been chaotic. She sighed, bored.

[Strega]

Sora rolled over in his sleep.

[Kitty_Chan]

She looked at his neck. The necklace was still there. She smiled, relived before turning back. She glanced at the sky. It was a little before noon.

[Strega]

Sora rolled again, teetering on the edge of the caravan.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora began to hum her mother's song softly.

[Strega]

Aurora heard a thud as Sora fell out.

[Kitty_Chan]

She blinked, stopping the horses and crawling back. She stifled her laughter as she stared at Sora.

[Strega]

Sora woke up, "Ow...." he looked at the caravan, then himself.

[Kitty_Chan]

"You sure are a tosser, aren't you?"

[Strega]

"Owie...." he murmered, still half asleep.

[Kitty_Chan]

She rolled her eyes, holding out her hand. "Come on."

[Strega]

Sora took her hand and yawned.

[Kitty_Chan]

She pulled him into a stand. "Do the rest yourself."

[Strega]

He went back into the caravan.

[Kitty_Chan]

She crawled back to the front before turning her head to him. "Try not to fall off again, 'kay?"

[Strega]

He nodded, 'Why couldn't I see her face.....?'

[Kitty_Chan]

She turned to the front and they started off again.

[Strega]

Sora was lost in thought.

[Kitty_Chan]

She stared up at the sky, watching birds and clouds go by. Life seemed so peaceful...

[Strega]

"Ugh!" Sora let his head bash against the wood, "Why can't I see the face?"

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora stared at him like he was crazy. "... What?!?"

[Strega]

Sora grumbled, "The face of the lady in my dreams. I can't see her face...."

[Kitty_Chan]

"I'm sorry... It's happened to me, too."

[Strega]

"It's really frustrating..."

[Kitty_Chan]

She shrugged. "It happens. Maybe your dream was just trying to help you and make you think."

[Strega]

"But I hate thinking...."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Maybe it's trying to HELP you to think more. Lazy."

[Strega]

"But I don't wanna....."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Then shut up. You're so annoying."

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "So edgey."

[Kitty_Chan]

"I'm not edgy! I just hate it when people whine and complain." She huffed.

[Strega]

Sora wrapped his arms around her shoulders, "I'll stop, okay?"

[Kitty_Chan]

She stiffened, not used to it. "............................" a blush began to spread across her face.

Sora just sighed happily, "See? No longer complaining."

(( sorry it took so long. apparently, my mom was ordering something for my birthday and NOW my parents are draggin me to the store. i might not be on for much longer, but i will get on tonite. ))

Aurora shook her head, still blushing. "You are SO weird. I just don't get you."

"There's no need to get me."

"... Then get off me!"

Sora laughed, "Yup!"

"Ugh." Aurora rolled her eyes.

Sora laughed.

She couldn't help but smile a bit. "Yima."

"So? That's what I like about me."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Well, it's what I like about you, too."

"Good, 'cuz it's not goin' away!"

She rolled her eyes. "Fine. We need at least ONE dumb person on our journey, and it's not me!"

"YAY! It's me!" ^.^

"Ugh. Can you get off me now? I think some of your stupid is spreading onto me."

[Strega]

"No, you need some of it."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Noooo!" She wailed, squirming. "Get off! I wanna be smart!"

Sora laughed and stayed where he was.

She began to pry his arms away from her. "Come on..."

[Strega]

He let go, "I'll preserve your smartness.... for now...."

Aurora brushed off her shoulders. "Ew... I hate stupid-germs..."

[Strega]

"Well, I'm just one big stupid germ ^.^!" Sora smiled.

[Kitty_Chan]

"I can tell." She smiled, staring ahead.

[Strega]

"soooo...." Sora felt like an idiot for kissing her earlier.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Hm?" She blinked, looking back at him. "Something on your mind?"

[Strega]

He shook his head, knowing she'd see through his lie, "Nothing..."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Okay." Aurora shrugged, turning back to the front.

[Strega]

Sora was shocked she didn't say anything but shook his head, 'She's probably too tired....'

[Kitty_Chan]

She squinted to see ahead. "It'll probably take us another day to reach the water city, Cilears..." She muttered.

[Strega]

"Oh, yay." Sora said unenthuseatically, "My worst element possible...."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Relax. They're a very sphisticated race." She smiled back at him before blinking. "... Nevermind. YOU may have a problem with them."

[Strega]

"Told ya so."

[Kitty_Chan]

"At least you have me. If I'm there, they might not kill you on the spot for your manners."

[Strega]

"I have some manners!!!!" he objected.

[Kitty_Chan]

"SOME. Okay, some. You need a lot of manners to deal with these elves."

[Strega]

"Yup! I'm screwed...."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Like I said. You got me."

[Strega]

Sora sighed, "And what happens when you're not around?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"Then keep your mouth shut." She shrugged. "But I don't think we will split up there."

[Strega]

"I'll try..."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Don't worry about it. It's not the MOST dangerous thing we'll encounter."

[Strega]

"What is the most?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"............. I think we already faced it."

[Strega]

"My uncle?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"Basically." She smiled back at him. "Tell me, in the middle of a war between elves and humans, don't you think facing the human general is pretty dangerous?" She asked before blinking.

[Strega]

"Not all the time. There was a time when he was nice to me.... but that was a long time ago."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Well, that's YOU. Unfortunatly, for me, that was my worst nightmare."

[Strega]

"Sorry..." he gave her a small smile.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora shrugged. "No worries."

[Strega]

Sora stared at the sky, "....... I hate my name."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Why?" She blinked.

[Strega]

"I'm nothing like the sky nothing."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Well, I don't know about that." She turned to him. "... You're blue a lot of the time, you have many natural abilities, you can make someone happy or sad..."

[Strega]

"But it's big and pretty."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Then if you don't like it, change it." She snapped, turning around. "...I like it."

[Strega]

"I can't change it...."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Good. Then stick with it and TRY to be proud of it."

[Strega]

"I'll try....." Sora stared at the horses, then turned to Aurora, "Have you ever danced in the rain?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"Once, when I was little. Why?"

[Strega]

"I love to dance in the rain. I remember my mom taking me out to dance in a thunderstorm. I loved it."

[Kitty_Chan]

She smiled softly. "Ah."

[Strega]

"When do you think it will rain again?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"Dunno." She shrugged, looking up at the sky. "... I'm sure the water elves could tell us."

[Strega]

"Does it rain alot there?"

[Kitty_Chan]

"No. They always have water with them so they rarely need it. But, they are able to sense rain, just as my people with earthquakes and the fire tribe with eruptions."

[Strega]

"Oh....." Sora sighed.

[Kitty_Chan]

"But, our tribes ar also able to create those things so they CAN make it rain. They do when they feel that the earth needs it."

[Strega]

"Cool." Sora smirked.

[Kitty_Chan]

Aurora rolled her eyes. "Why does that make you smirk? Do you have some sort of plot or mischievious idea?"

[Strega]

"No. Humans can tell when a weapon is breaking, and we can make them and repair them, but elves.... Well, you guys are unique."

[Kitty_Chan]

Now it was her turn to smirk. "Well, of course. We don't tear away the earth's nature and ruin her. It's obvious that we would be allowed her powers, right?"

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "Yup! I prefer not to tear her up, so I'm granted limited control, and they usually help me."

[Kitty_Chan]

"You talk like you are still with them." She huffed. "You should say that you WERE granted limited control."

[Strega]

"I still am granted it. I could easily lose it by misusing it."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Not anymore. As soon as you joined us elves, you lost it. Katari's law, I suppose."

[Strega]

".... How?" Sora was still a little confused.

[Kitty_Chan]

"Well, you joined us, right? And we don't tear up the earth. At all. So, I guess TECHNICALLY, you could, but you aren't allowed to."

[Strega]

"......" it made sense, but he knew eventually, somehow, it would all come back and bite him in the butt.

[Kitty_Chan]

"So, what do you want to talk about?" Aurora asked, glancing at him.

[Strega]

"I don't know.... Bunnies?"

[Kitty_Chan]

She stared at him. "... Do you just like to say random things?"

[Strega]

Sora laughed, "No, I just like the feel of their fur. It's so soft...."

[Kitty_Chan]

"I thought you liked to EAT them?"

[Strega]

"I've never been fond of rabbit or venison."

[Kitty_Chan]

"Oh..." She turned back to the front.

[Strega]

"So..... New topic. Your turn to pick."

[Kitty_Chan]

"..." Aurora thought for a bit. "... What are you planning to do after this journey?"

[Strega]

"Wander aimlessly I guess." Sora shrugged, "I don't have a home. I was banished from it."

[Kitty_Chan]

"You're not going to live in Alana?" She blinked. "You're not banished from it, and you have nowhere else."

[Strega]

"I wouldn't exactly fit in." Sora pulled an apple out from one of the food things. He took a bite.

[Kitty_Chan]

"That's a good point... But would you rather wander around and possibly die instead of taking a few days to earn some elves' trust?"

[Strega]

"... I'll buy option one. I rarely get along with you, miss moodswings."

[Kitty_Chan]

She glared at him before turning to the front, angrily.

[Strega]

"See?" he took another bite.

[Kitty_Chan]

"..." She continued staring forward.

[Strega]

"Now, whatever you do, don't smile."

[Kitty_Chan]

"........" She ingored him.

[Strega]

He poked her side, it usually, on most people, a ticklish spot.

Aurora kept glaring ahead, not even a hint of a smile.

".... Okay, I'm sorry!!! Stop being mad...." Sora begged.

[Kitty_Chan]

"..." Aurora stared ahead, eyes distant.

[Strega]

"Aurora...." he whined.

[Kitty_Chan]

She slowly raised her hand up and put it into a fist. She bonked Sora on the head, playfully. "You're such an idiot, Sora."

[Strega]

Sora smiled, one eye closed from the bonk, head slumped near his shoulders.
