The Millineum Year

There are many races in the world of Ayana, and many regions, territories, kingdoms, and rulers. Once every thousand years, a great ball, the Millineum Ball, is held.
This is the story of the young people here.
The ones who have already had their fates decided for them...
And who want to have their own free will to choose who they love...

Okay, romance RP. This doesn't start out at the ball, though I guess we could work are way up to it.

In Ayana, the royals and everyone lives right smack-dab in the middle of the place, in a city called Riko. They do this so there won't be any fighting because they're all so close that it would be hard to invade someone else's place.
You can be a royal or a servant, I don't care. ^,..,^

Rules
Can go farther than a kiss, though not in extreme detail.
Cussing is okay.
No instantly falling in love.
No asking someone else to make a boyfriend or girlfriend for you.
Be literate, use (almost) correct grammar, capitalize, punctualize, and be literate. No netspeak, and at least two GOOD sentences.
Don't make a character and not RP at all, or only RP a little. You MUST STICK WITH IT.

Alex sat down while his mother gave him a lecture, telling him to behave at the ball.

Feeling a little peeved, Belle strode around the gradens of the palace where she lived. Sighing, she kneeled infront of blue roses.

She gazed deep into their odd patterns and let her thoughts drift away.
'That's right...the ball is soon....' She sighed, defeated and headed inside to get ready. Hopefully it wouldn't be too odd.

It was times like these where he could die of boredom.

"Uggghhh....kill me now...." He had already practiced with his swords and other weapons--he couldn't find anything else to do.

Then again there was that damned ball he had to attend. Blankly, he closed his eyes and thought of 10 things he could do to entertain himself there.

Sashe looked out the back of her wagon. Behind her she could see, through the dust raised by the horses, several other wagons. She sighed I hope we get there in time. This is the biggest gig we've ever been hired for! She sighed again and caught a mouth full of dust from the wind as it picked up. Sputtering and coughing she lay back in the wagon and closed the flaps. Daydreams took her as she wondered what the palace would be like...

With a bump, Feyud landed on the top of the wagon. Startled out of her reverie, Sashe hit the wooden roof of the carriage, cursed, stuck her knuckle in her mouth while pulling on boots with the other, and juumped up top to deal with her older brother.

Belle searched around for a gown.
No luck.

Sighing, she decided to step out and search through town for one.

Despite this, she was ecstatic.

Kenneth groaned and doubled over.

He shifted around, and stared blankly at the trees. Even lying down, the world was still spinning, faster and faster...

He closed his eyes, listening to nature in Obsidian Blooms.

Maybe this ball was something to look forward to, after all.

Amara walked out to the entrance hall to greet her cousin Alex when she saw she smiled"Hey Alex, long time no see"

"Eh! Watch whe' ya swing that thing!" Feyud cried as Sashe grabbed a branch off a passing tree and swung it at his head in the traditional "younger sister being rudely awakened" way.

"You watch where you be jumpin' then!" She tossed the branch away and sat down looking at the trail of dust and wagons behind theirs. "What'da ya think this here balls gonna be like anyway?"

Feyud scratched his head and looked important. "Well, the palace is all crystal and the royal folks there have big carriages and they all wear huge gowns and jewelry all the time." Really working into his story he started again, "And the ballroom is five miles long..."

"Eh! That’s rubbish," Sashe cried interrupting, "I ain't a child ya know, I can tell when you're fibbin'!"

"So maybe I was," He turned abruptly to look at the rapidly approaching city, "but I bet it's nothing like the other places we've been. And certainly better than this moving pile of horse..."

"Fey! Watch that mouth of yours mister, the ladies at the court don't like boys with dirty tongues." Ralth, Feyud and Sashe's cousin swung up onto the roof with them accompanied by his friends. He grinned, " 'ello fair cus." he stooped to ruffle Sashe's hair.

"Get'ch your filthy 'ands offa me." she growled. "Speak up? This city's a noisy 'un you gott'a be loud or you'll dissapear" Ralth lectured.

"Remind me to say goodbye before we go in then" Fey joked. Sashe pushed him. "Aw come on! You know well as I you get shy mighty quick. But who knows, maybe that turns your sort on." This time Sashe's push sent him rolling to the edge of the roof. She stood up and jumped down onto the driver's seat with her father. "Sounds like you've been 'aving fun."

She groaned "Ay, it'd be more fun if there were more of me and less of them."

"Sashe," her father said seriously. You are nearly a lady; you should find yourself a man. Why have none of the eligible bachelors in our train approached you?"

" 'Cause they know I could beat'em up with one hand! They're all weak and ugly. And where would I find a guy outside of here, its hard enough to get one to like me, harder to get him to leave his family and come with us..." She sighed.

The word spread like wild fire; We're approaching the Palace, get ready!
There was a frantic scrambling of the young people to get instruments together, brush hair, change clothes and get gussied up, while the older folks reminisced about when it was them rushing around.
The nostalgic laughing caused no sweet feelings in those doing the running but grumbles had no place on a day such as this.
