Faith walked down the dark street humming 'This is Halloween'.

Aden sat up on the clock tower, looking down at the town.

Stiches was sitting under the clock tower. Her long legs were folded up under her, her flowing skirt billowing out around her, covered in dust and slightly tattered.

Her large, black, batlike wings were open and spread hanging over her shoulders. She was leaning forward, playing with a little doll.

The doll was made of the same material as her dress, it wore a dirty slip dress, and had spiderlegs for hair.

Stiches smiled, her sewn-shut-lips curling wickedly upward.

Stitches eyes got even wider. Her bare feet in the snow had gone numb, but she didn't care. She looked around, never having seen anything like this place.

She crouched towards it, expecting to find something headless lurking.

The lights reflected off her eyes, and she narrowed them.

With one hand, she reached out and wrapped her fingers around a red light, flinching at first, because she thought it was fire.

When that didn't work, she rocked back on her heels and shivered.

Where she was kneeling on her dress, the snow had melted and soaked through.

Melodia curled up in a branch, falling asleep with one eye open, waiting for Stitches to return.

Stitches was facinated. She had never seen so many colors, so many lights, so much ... joy. Her eyes were wide and her smile broad by the time they returned to the dor.

She streched her wings to their full span, then rustled them to fold aginst her back again. The cold had made them a little stiff.

She turned her attention back to the Christmas door and waited for Aden.

Her eyes grew wide and she pointed at it, bouncing on the balls of her bare feet like a child. She turned back to Aden and smiled, her eyes glittering.

For having been born and raised in Halloween Town, she had never come to this part, never ventured out of Halloween town.
