Coral leaned back in her and her brother's tiny sailboat, Dreamer, letting the salty wind whip her dark hair around her face. She closed her green eyes and took a deep breath. She loved being out here, being on the ocean. She knew it scared some, made them feel small and vulnerable. She'd never been able to understand that. She loved the vastness of the clear, blue water. It made her feel safe and happy. She fought the urge to dive over the side and let the water close over her head.

Behind her, Koi worked the sails, the ropes moving easily in his muscled arms. He pushed his curly hair our of his face and wiped his brow. His back and arms hurt, and he was getting hot and thirsty in the afternoon sun. Sailing was hard work, no one would argue with that. But he didn't care. He loved it. He loved the thought that his boat could carry him out as far as he wished over the sapphire waves.

The boat, their beloved Dreamer had been a present for their 15th birthday. They'd had to prove to their uncle Bob they could sail it, of course. And they had. In fact, they'd saved his life on that stormy day. If they hadn't been there, he surely would have drowned.

No one could say for sure how the two hadn't drowned themselves-they should have. But they didn't.

Heart slowely opened his eyes, looking back out at the ocean. "I wish I could be out there... just once..." He whispered to himself.

Overhead, a loud CAW! made Coral jump. She opened her eyes and smiled. A few feet from the boat, a large white blur dove into the water, only to surface moments later as a white albatross, a fish struggling in it's strong beak. It was gone a second later.

"Skye!" called Coral, her voice carried away by the wind. At the same time, Koi yelled, "Get down here, you silly bird!"

Either way, the bird circled in the sky, the sun glinting off it's snow white feathers. It gently circled downward until it was perched on the edge of Dreamer. Skye clacked her beak and ****ed her head looking at Coral.

Coral laughed. "Where have you been? We've been looking for you all morning?" she asked, holding out her arm. The bird gently stepped onto Coral's outstretched hand. She was heavy, as any bird her size should be, but Coral's arms were strong from all the swimming she did.

Pearl looked at the ground then looked back up at her sister."Well,supper will be ready in a moment.",she said then swam up & Anemone watched her swim off then once the door closed she looked up then her eyes narrowed & she nodded.She shot up & started to swim towards the surface with speed

Heart stepped a little furthur into the water, so it was almost to his knees. He liked how calm it made him. How peaceful it was. Everything about it.

Anemone closed her eyes when she was about to hit the surface then she rose above the water & opened her eyes & smiled."Wow...",she awed then looked above her head to see the puffy white things still floating in the other big blue abover her.Then she noticed some strange creatures swimming in the blue with their arms flapping.

It had always amazed her that something that moved so much, that teemed with so much life, could appear as still and flat as polished glass. She looked out to where the deep blue of the water met the lighter blue of the sky, straining to see beyond the boundaries of the horizon. She thought she saw something. She squinted. Yes, there was definately something out there.

Koi held the sails steady and looked out to where Coral was pointing. Yes, he saw it. There was something out there. He blinked. Was that...a person?

Coral sped through the water. It got in her eyes, making them burn. It splashed in her mouth, and she choked on it. Still, she had to reach that person. And it wouldn't have mattered if she'd been sick--she loved the water. Nothing could make her leave it.

Koi followed his sister. They were gaining on the person. It looked like they were heading for the shore. That was good. At least they had a good sense of direction. Skye circled overhead, cawing her prescence.
