ok.. since thers alot of bad press about muslims, i just wana know ur views on what u think about them.. what i dont like is the fact that people only see a small group of people from the same race/religion than they generalise there atitude and behaivior on the whole race.

Everybody thinks al muslims are terrorists, but that's so wrong. It's just a really small group of muslims that are extremists and are terrorists.
That's really pisses me of that so much people think that.

To tell the truth, i am a muslim, and i think that islam is a very nice and peaceful religion, but some people just cant believe that. just because there might be some bad muslims, it does not mean we are all bad. Some Christians are bad, some jews are bad, and some muslims are bad, but that does not mean we have to treat all the muslims as if they were bad people! Stop anger!:)

I'm not going to talk about the religion part but about "terrorists".
Well, I don't actually think these people really ARE terrorists. And yes, they kill innocent people, but I don't think they are bad (at least not all of them). How many innocent people from their side were killed with no reason? They are trying to get back some things that were taken from them, they are making a revolution.
And, unfortunately, there is no revolution without blood...

In my opinion, terrorism is a very bad thing. Killing innocent people is a bad thing. They bombed the U.S. Terrorists killed alot of people in the U.S. in 9/11, and not just U.S. citizens.
A lot of revolutions happened without bloodshed. Many are labeled as social revolutions such as the Civil Rights Movement. It can be done.
Terrorists are terrorists. Mulsims are muslims. BIG DIFFERENCE. First, I wouldn't say all people are labeling all muslims terrorists. That's even a driscriminating statement in itself. Saying the media wants to give us negative thoughts towards all Muslims is also a generalization. News is news. Some good. Some bad. It's the people's choice what they want to listen to. I don't really know a lot about Islam. Doesn't seem like a bad religion. Those who think it is, or treat people differently or badly are ignorant.

How many innocent people were killed in Iraq by the U.S. army my friend? And I'm talking about women and children... I never said that what happened in 9/11 was a good thing but where an action takes place here comes a reaction!
And no, there has never been a revolution without blood (before, during, or after it)!!!
And I agree that terrorists and muslims are something completely different! And that the news are brainwashing people. But you can't always choose. Sometimes you just need not to listen to the media and try to find the real facts from other sources.

First, don't take that as an attack. I believe completely in opposition to you. There's nothing to get offended about. I never said that innocent people weren't killed in Iraq. I never said you thought it was good thing, God no. It's an example of a terrorist attack, and especially that it involved a lot of innocent bystanders. I mentioned nothing about you personally. It's my sole opinion.
Another example is when a ship was bombed prior to 9/11. Terrorists don't have to be Christians, or Muslims or ALIENS! The idea of terrorism is a bad one, in my opinion! 9/11 is an example of TERRORISM! Which is what I was referring to not the U.S. occupation in Iraq. I don't really believe the U.S. should be in Iraq, but I also don't think their over there killing innocents for the heck of it.
How many innocent people were killed by their fellow citizens in their own countries? Tensions is at high between Sunnis and Shiites, different divisions of the religion of Islam. A lot of innocent people are getting killed right now, but I'm not going to blame it on one sole country. I'm sure there a lot of different factors playing into tensions right now. And, just so we're clear on all levels, I am not implying that you blame it on anyone.
Revolution means change. The new technologies that have been sweeping the world is referred to as a "Digital Revolution." Things such as the Womens Right Movement which did not end in war is called a social revolution which brought about a change in the world. They're fighting for a change. You can look through history and see revolutions that do not end in blood shed.
I disagree with the news brainwashing people. As a person who reads articles, I am able to forumlate my own opinion. I don't think the news wants to withhold facts from me. Journalism is about uncovering the truth. Why would news sources that oppose the government want to keep facts silent? Especially in America, freedom of the press is frequantly exercised. The government can't control the media. There are way too many opinions and media sources out there.
I think dicussions can be more fun when there are opposite views so...I think it's great you believe differently than me!
And I don't want say anything without backing it up so:
Here's an article that mentions tension between Sunni and Shiite

I am definately not taking this as an attack! We are just expressing our oppinions and beliefs here and I must admit that I quite enjoy it!
The word "terrorist" is really offensive and when there is a higher cause about a did it should not be used. I totally believe that killing someone (and of course so many people!!!) should be the last solution, but sometimes it is innevitable, sometimes there are no choices left.
The war in Iraq is something with no further cause than U.S.Goverment's imperialism and control addiction. And yes, they are killing for the heck of it! Not a single statement Bush had made to give a strong excuse for what is taking place in Iraq has sensibility!!!
I know about Sunni and Shia Iraqis and I have to tell you that the tension between them got even worse after the invasion in their country http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_war_in_Iraq . I do not agree with what they are doing but at least they have a reason....
"Digital Revolution" is something completely different and it is more like a metaphor. And yes, Womens Right Movement did not end up in blood shed but I also used the word "before". Look again what I wrote...
What about "propaganda"? I don't say that we shouldn't watch TV or read newspapers or that we shouldn't believe a thing from what we hear. I just say that it would be better if we left a small place in our brains for "what if it's not like that?". I read a lot too, I form my own oppinions too but I am never completely sure of what I read or what I hear and this is something my godfather tought me and his is a journalist himself... Let's not forget that newspapers, TVchannels and radio stations need money. And money can make peoples' mouths get shut. Also the news are presented by people and some times people can make a personal oppinion seem like an actual event...
PS:sorry for the language usage, I don't speak english that fluently.
PS2:don't take this as an attack either...

Okies dokies...That's the problem with the internet. You can never tell if you pissed a person off a not. So, sorry for that.
I don't agree with Bush. Actually, don't really have an opinion on it, but I don't think we should be in Iraq. That would make that an opinion then..WELL, I don't have a thorough opinion on it. I didn't mean without cause in that sense. I mean they're not just sitting there and saying...hey...Do you want to kill someone today? You know what I mean...I guess. Mostly, I agree with you.
Didn't know that one. Truth be told, I don't really know that much about the War in Iraq...I'm learning. But still...I'd have to say the Shiite and Sunni tension was going to rise despite any invasion. It was still there, though it did have a signifigant rise. I mean it seems pretty inevitable that it was going to happen sometime or another.
I don't remember anyone dying before in the history of the Women's Right movement. Don't really know about it. I looked again, but I took it that you meant bloodshed may have happened before, while, or after. I don't follow. Anyway, I take it more literal. I mean it's changing the world so it's dubbed as a revolution. I mean revolution doesn't just mean war there's several different types of revolution, but I guess it really depends on how you look at it. I look at it really loosely.
I agree with that. I just mean going as fas as to say "brainwashing." You shouldn't believe everything you hear, and it's perfectly good to have that doubt, but no one who is giving the news is brainwashing anyone. They get the choice to doubt, they get to choose what news story or person or station or source they wish. They're not forced to believe anything. I just meant by what I said that it's okay to trust that the media is not always out there to support the government or brainwash you. Brainwashing seems a bit extreme. I mean, it sounds more forceful. You get choices and doubts.
Yeah..sorry for being all..BLEH.

Ok, I think that now we've accomplished the perfect atmosphere!:)
Yes, maybe things were doomed to get worse but I don't think that they were going to end up in a near-civil war situation like they are now...
I don't believe that revolution includes war. At least not a "world-war" type of war, maybe smaller ones. What I want to say that revolution is a fight to change something there is and establish something there should be. And every fight has winners and losers, and victims. What was the place of women next to men before they established their rights? They were used by men, being beat, getting imprisoned... How many of them were killed just because of the way men were looking at them? And, let's be realistic, if the conditions were not such, women would have never rebelled! So, revolution is a fight for change. If there is no fight and only change we are not talking about "revolution" but about "evolution"...
Maybe the word "brainwashing" was a bit harsh, but I used it to stress my point. I think we agree in that subject anyway...:)

Maybe. Who knows...-__-; I sure don't.
I agree. I believe revolution mostly includes a fight for something, and definently believe it means change. I see your point on the Women's Civil Movement. I was just reading something about revolution...Many scholarly debaters are still debating on different views of what is and what is not a revolution..and..yaddah, yaddah, yaddah...Okay, so I still believe revolution doesn't need bloodshed. Industrial Revolution and Digital Revolution still brought about a change so I take them as economic revolutions. I'd have to say the the individuals that were involved in such economic battles had to fight for what they believed in though. No one died, but in their own right it was a war. They had to take the current views and practices of a time period and give them something entirely new. They'd have to fight to prove why everyone should take their lead.
I'm running out of stuff to say and disagree on..uuuh...I think that smiley is TOO HAPPY! o_o Just kidding. I love smilies....^^

I haven't read it anywhere, but I still belive that Industrial and Digital revolution are using the word "revolution" as a metaphor mostly... I mean there was no "fight" to change the old tools with engines (I'm not talking about social events of that period!!!) and there was no "fight" to put computers in our lives... See what I mean?

Yeah, but I still disagree. I think they had to fight for change. To me, revolution means basically a movement that causes a signifigant change with or without an established fight. I don't know if this as factual, but an inventor probably wasn't just accepted as soon as he created his tool. Maybe Eli Whitney had to fight against people's beliefs. I have no idea why he popped in my head. Yay cotton gin! Who knows...I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. ^___^ Good points though.

It might be the way they treat their women.
I mean...killing a women for being raped isn't exactly peaceful.
But you're right. People are INCREDIBLY stupid to group and label and stereotype like that. It makes me almost want to laugh that people could think that just because SOME people did stuff, all Islamix people should be avoided and hated.
