Harvest Moon

Ummm, I've been obsessed with Harvest Moon lately, can't blame me, it's good!

This won't be about teens, for once. This'll be an actual growth RP, where you can get married, have kids, run a farm/business/whatever. I just feel like it for some reason today.

To make things a little more interesting, you can be any race.

Let's not forget about the three Harvest Sprites, and the Harvest Goddess. The little Sprites help you out with the farm, and the Goddess grants some wishes, or gives you advice when you offer her something at the Harvest Goddess Spring.

Okay, the layout for the place, Rainne Valley. If you've played AnWL and MFoMT then think of a combined way of the two, or Mineral Town as the north part and Forget-Me-Not-Valley to the south. Yeah, not too creative, but hey, I can't think of anything right now. Basically just....

Supermarket, Clinic, Beach to the north.
Beach, Metal Artist, Lab, Guru's Hut (lol) to the south.
Farms, mines, houses, one mansion, bar, hotel, etc in the middle.
Harvest Goddess's Lake to the east, along with the Sprite's Tree.
To the West, is Mt. Moon (NOT FROM POKEMON [random] ) It is a famous proposal site. (I swear, that's kinda in a game!!!!)


Yes, marriage, etc is allowed. Just... the cyber scenes, PLEASE skip them! Only imply about them, no one wants to actually read them!!!!!
The marriage is obviously going to be a new thing. xD
No Instant Love etc.
You should know my rules about grammar, to be quick, POST WITH CORRECT GRAMMAR, SPELLING, CAPITALIZATION AND QUOTATION MARKS!!!!! NO ASTERISKS EITHER!!!!!

---Farmers are finishing their work, families are getting home from work---
---Barkeeps are running around, trying to open the Blue Bar---

Toki got up, having been resting for a moment on her bed in the loft. The Blue Bar, where she worked at, had been an old barn before it was converted. Now the loft was where barkeeps, all female, who didn't have a home, slept. She climbed down the ladder into the brewing room, the intoxicating smells of wine, beer, and ****tails filling the air with thick fumes. She walked out into the main room, looking at the bar, the stools, the tables, and the harp and piano in the corner. Sighing, she grabbed a few bottles off the shelf, preparing the famous Moonlit ****tail, which was always a favorite. She looked at the other barkeeps scurrying around like mice, and she smiled a little.

Stone cleaned off the table of the Blue Bar. She hated being a waitress here but it paid good amount of money. She needed it too to buy food and clothing. She continued to clean off every table and put the open side to flip over so many people can see it. She walked over to the bar and sat down with her apron covering some part of her legs.

Motoko had been sleeping and woke up. She went to her frige and grabbed the strawberry and whipped cream. She went back to her bed and ate. She was humming, happy even though she had just lost a lot. She smiled and touched her stomach. "Something good cam out of that relationship." She ate another strawberry. "I hope you enjoy your dinner little one." She hummed and ate some more.

Toki half-ran over to Stone, poking her in the back of the head. "Hiya, Stone! Ready for another night?" she asked, laughing a little. She flapped her thin wings gracefully a few times, creating a slight breeze. "Tonight I'm gonna play a new song! You wanna listen?" She asked, smiling.

Ren led his last cow into the barn, patting her rump twice to keep her moving. "That's a good girl. Time to sleep, hmm?" he asked. He picked up the two pails of milk that he had gotten from she and her sister, and put them in the pasteurization chamber. Going inside his small house, he quickly changed and headed out, walking briskly. Looking up at the small, roadside clock, he saw the time. 5:58. Good, I'll be at the bar right when it opens. Even though he didn't really like to drink, he still enjoyed going to the bar to meet any new people.

Stone smiled sweetly, "i don't think my butt can hand any more hands slapping it." She laughed nodded. "Sure i would like that! I bet more guys are coming to night!" She smiled.

Dare stood in his office, His hotel was doing great, lately. He let out a small yawn as he got up and fixing his suit. His tie was bothering him so he loosened it.

Motoko got up and put on her shoes and a light jacket. "A little walk might be nice, hmm?" She headed out into the night breathing in the cool air. She walked around.

Heise was helping with the bar. She cleaneed the counter with an old bar rag. She smiled and hummed a little. For some reason she was in a good mood today.

Reluma was finishing with the farm. She put in a couple more seeds in one of the rows. She smiled and laughed a little.

Toki stuck her tongue out at her. "My suggestion, keep your butt to the wall! "Maybe they'll be too distracted by me when I play the harp tonight! Then again, they probably won't even pay attention to the music, and just stare at me." she said, still smiling.

Motoko saw a bar and decided to check it out, although she knew couldn't drink she went anyways. She waited to be able to go in.

Looking outside she smiled, "First customer of the day!" She laughed walking to open the door, "Welcome to the Blue Bar!"

"Good evening." She stepped inside. "Oh, do you make anything with out alcohol? I'm with child so I can't drink."

Ren walked into the bar, and saw a few regulars there. He sat down at a table with a few other farmers, and brought up the recent increase in seed prices. A few minutes later, he wished he hadn't. How on earth do they manage to keep this up? I mean, they hardly ever speak any other time. He slumped his head on the table for a moment, then looked up, watching the people moving.

Mei smiled and nodded. "Why do we keep mentioning 'butt' tonight?" she asked, laughing. She climbed up on the little platform and checked her harp over a few times. The bar hushed down slightly, though there was still a slight buzzing.

She began singing, her fingers moving expertly over the strings in a soothing tune.

Ash was one of the first to clap for Mei. There were very few things that he enjoyed more than music, and this girl was skilled with the harp and singing. He smiled a little, noticing the girl's beaming face.

I can tell you're with child, I'm a Fairy, so it's easy enough. I don't want you getting hurt." she smiled over her shoulder at her.

Ash laughed a little. "Well, okay, so I play the guitar, but that's it." He smiled a little, and it quickly evaporated as someone walked into the bar, an angry air about him.

Stone fell on her butt as the guy pushed her. "*******!" She shouted at him getting up! "Motoko, please sit down!" Stone ran over to her and stood in front of the her.

talan sighed "unfortunately and I'm afraid she'll hurt he-" kloud bursted through the door all muddy holding a clear blue stone and she had a scratch that looked deep and was still bleeding but her eyes shone brightly "talan look what I found! isn't it awsome?" talan took the stone and turned it in his hand "strange I've never seen a stone like this before what do you think mei?"

Mei stayed put in front of Motoko. "Don't push it." she growled. Her wings spread wide, partly-sheilding her from view. Mei looked at Talan. "Um, I don't know, kind of busy here." She said, gesturing to the man.

Ash stood up, leaving his drink on the table. He walked over to the guy, non-menacingly. "Look, please, we don't want a fight." In hushed tones, he said to Mei, "Look, if he starts trying to hurt you or Motoko, I want you to get the hell outta here, okay!?" he asked. Mei nodded, frowning.

Stone glared at the guy and stood next to Mei, as Dare lazily grabbing his drink and drinking form it leaned against the door way. Stone turned towards Talan and Kloud, "you guys stay behind me!" She muttered not leaving her gaze on the guy.

"No. That was completely rude, apologize now." She walked up to him. "I expect you to give her a full hearted apology right now."
Kinsae groaned. "I'm sorry, now may I go?"
"Fine. Play nicely now." She said sitting back down.
Kinsae just rolled his eyes. Who does this woman think she is...no one has ever told me to say sorry or anything like that...who the hell is she thinking that she can order me around?!

Ash stood there awkwardly. "That.... was easy...." He muttered to himself. He turned around, looking at Motoko. "Uh, thanks. M'name's Ren, wha's yours?" He asked, smiling kindly at her. "Mei, I think you can pull those wings in." He said, chucling a little. Mei blushed and folded her wings, pursing her lips. "Hmm, polite he is not." She muttered, running a hand through her hair.

kloud snatched the stone from talan then looked at the guy causing trouble her eyes showing her curiosity and talan looked at her worried "oh no you don't you are way to curiouse about things for your own good so go and wait behind stone!" kloud glared at him "no! you never let me have fun I don't care if you're my big brother and the only one left in our family I'm aloud to have fun!" tears were welling up in her eyes and she ran out and talan sighed "great I hate it when she gets like this oh well she'll go to the beach and look out at it then eventually come back mei when she does would you let me know I have to head home our horse is having a baby and I need to be there" he left

Stone let out a huff as she looked at Dare and Mei, then smile rose on her lips. She turned to Dare who was walking towards his table still drinking out of his cup. She looked at where kloud ran out, "Talan! You made her cry!" She nagged as she let out a sigh", she took off erh apron as she ran after her.

talan was by the door when he heard her yell at him and he sighed "great another person upset with me evr since she found out about our parents she's been emotoinal and rebelent!"

I need to check on Kloud, sorry. Oh, and watch her, I don't want anyone to get hurt, especially when it's actually two people."

Mei looked at him a sec, "Oh, gimme me a sec." She huffed, standing up. She walked over to Kinsae. "What do you want...?" she asked, grimacing slightly, but trying to pass it off as a smile.

(um ok...) kloud sat down on the beach after she had jumped into the water to get off the mudd and she was staring at the stone she had found.

"Please..." He finished looking at his hands.
Motoko smiled.

Ash looked at Motoko, smiling a bit. "So..." he said awkwardly, "What's up? I haven't seen you before, so, what's your name? Where do you live, work, if you don't mind my asking. I'm Ashi taka (supposed to be one word) Kuragi. I work on the farm that's way to the west, near Mt. Moon." He said, smiling a little. "The hot springs are a little past that, as I'm sure Mei will verify." He said, laughing.

Motoko smiled. "Hello, I'm Motoko, I just moved here after a horrible break up but I'm over it. I live in that old house next to that one farm...um...don't know the name, A hot spring sounds nice. I better hit that up before I start to show." She tried to answer all his questions.

Ash looked at her oddly. "Show...?" He asked, completely clueless.
"Old house... do you mean Old Mrs. Norris's place? She passed 'bout a year ago, and the house's been up for buy for a while now. It's by my farm, the Mine (pronounced Mi-nay) Farm, that's mine." He said, smiling a bit. "There are a lot of other farms with old houses near 'em though, so it might not be near me." He smiled a bit.

Ash paused, that was new. "Oh, umm... Well, congratulations." He said, smiling. "I'm sure Mei would enjoy showing you around. She just plain hyperactive. I mean, I've never met anyone who could put up with all the customers here, and still be happy-go-lucky." He smiled a little, tilting his head to the side.

He walked back to the small kitchen, then turned around and came back to her. "Uh, want do you want?" He asked sheepishly, his hand on the back of his neck.

Mei flew up, her gossamer wings beating quickly, like a hummingbird's. She flew towards the beach, a place she knew Kloud to be at. Sure enough, she spotted the girl, her feet in the sand. She landed quickly, sitting down besides her gracefully, not saying a word.

Mei looked up, at the bright, clear stars, her eyes clouding over a little. "I... I've never known mine. Y'know, I've always had to... to be on my own. That's one of the reasons I'm a barkeep, because I don't have enough money, or education to be anything else. My parents, left me... They wanted a son to carry on the lineage, and I wasn't what they needed. I've found out this is normal for my race. Everyone wants a son, and only the Fairy's with more power and money can keep their daughters." She sighed a little, feeling the waves wash over her bare feet.

Ren leaned against the wall, his hands folded behind his head. "Y'know, that's really what everyone wants, even if they won't admit it immediately." He said, smiling sadly.

kloud smiled and a tear drop fell onto the stone and kloud hugged it then rested her head on mei's shoulder "I like you mei you're so nice and easy to talk to unlike talan he is well sometimes he seems heartless never wanting me to have fun or do things on my own we're kinda the same except I have talan but you know what he loves you"

"It is." A tear rolled down her cheek. She wipped it away. "But I'm sure you'll find it."

Mei jumped a little, blushing. She kept quiet, and put her arm around Kloud's shoulders. "He's just trying to protect you, y'know? That's what big brothers do." She smiled at her, rubbing her back gently.

Ash looked at her. "Hey, hey, don't cry, please." He asked, looking at her with concern. "Did something happen to you, because I don't think that you'd be here without a story, not to be pushy or anything." He coughed a little, since someone had just decided to take an indoor smoke. "Ugh, d'ya wanna go outside?" He asked, gesturing towards the door.

she smiled every time she was near mei she felt safe then she began to doze off again

Mei kept hugging her, and let her lean her head on her shoulder, looking out at the waves which crashed up against the shore so gently. She began singing a soft lullaby, gazing up at the moon as she did so.

"Yes that would be wise. Don't want my child to grow up to be a smoker..." She stood and walked out the door cool air hit her face.

Ash hurried out after her, intaking air sharply as the cold wind hit his face. "Heh, summer's turning to fall now, so the harvests'll get bigger." He said, smiling a little. "Do you want my jacket, it's a little cold out here, and you don't want to get sick." He took off his jacket, offering it to her.

"Your so nice. Just the way Nakatsu was. He was going to marry me next summer, until one day I woke up and he was gone. I haven't seen him since. That was about a 2 months ago, I knew we should have waited until we were married but he pushed me and I ended up pregnant. I'm not complaining but My son or daughter will never know their father." She said looking down.

Ren looked away, not really sure of what to say. "Oh, I'm no good at this..." He said, running a hand through his hair. Oh I'm not helping any, am I?" He asked, looking down at the ground awkwardly.

Mei smiled at her. " 'S all right. Sometimes we all need a shoulder to lean on." She stood up, helpin Kloud up as well. "Ah, Talan." She smiled a little. "Here's your sister, be nice." She said, half-serious. She smiled at him again. "Not at all, not at all."

Motoko put a hand on his shoulder. "Its alright." Her warm smile was back.

Mei yawned, then looked down the road. "Oh, I think I have it from here. You really should get back to Kloud now, I'm sure she'd like to talk to you or something." She smiled at him a little, and reached up, giving him a quick hug. Yawning, she muttered, "Thanks, I've got to get some sleep. See ya tomorrow." She folded her wings against her slender body, and walked to the door, opening it. "Bye." She called, and walked into the bar, closing the door behind her. Going up the ladder to the loft, she undressed, pulling on a small nightdress, and flopped down onto her bed, thinking about what had happened that night. Does he really like me? Do I like him? Oooohhh, I'm just confused..." she thought, moaning a little.

he smiled watching her go and turned and went home and into his room and got out a piece of paper with stars all over it and started writing something dowm "mei I want to tell you that I love you I didn't want to tell you until now because I wasn't sure" he looked at it then threw it away and took out another one "mei I was think and I've desided to let you know that I really like you alot and that you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen..." he sighed and folded it and wrote her name on it then went and slipped it under the bar's door and left

Motoko got put on a pale yellow sundress and shoes and walked outside.

Ash had already been up for a while, throwing chicken feed everywhere on the inside of his pen. "Ah, so you guys are hungry today, aren't you?" He asked, smiling as his chickens pecked at his feet. "So, how many eggs did we have today?" He set about good-naturedly, collecting the eggs quickly. Putting them in the storage building, he walked out to his barn, a couple of pails in his hands. "Okay, who's first!" He called out, laughing as his cows mooed at him. "Alright, alright, you can go out as soon as I'm done with this." He smiled, and began the chore of milking them. His horse, Arrow, whickered, and he looked up at her. "Ah, so the baby's getting bigger, is she?" He asked, looking at her enlarged belly.

Finally, a while later, just as the sun was peaking over the mountaintops, he let all his cows, sheep, and the two horses into the pasteur, watching them graze for a moment.

Ash smiled a little, wiping some sweat off his forehead. It was almost fall, but it was still pretty hot, and if you spent a while with animals, then, yeah, you were going to sweat a little. "Overslept, really. I'm amazed I managed to get everything done this quickly." He said, smiling. "How 'bout you?" He asked, looking at her kindly.

"Woke up a couple times to eat...but other than that I slept pretty good." She looked at all the work he was doing. "Do you want any help?" She asked walking closer to him.

He smiled. "Nah, I'm fine. Just, open the door, for me, will ya?" He asked, nodding his head at the storage room. Both his hands were full, as he was carrying the pails of milk a little awkwardly.

Mei rolled over... and off her bed, landing face-down. Moaning, she sat up, her knees underneath her, and rubbed her eyes a few times. She pulled on a t-shirt and jeans, since it was her day off, and she stumbled down the ladder and out the door, too asleep to notice the note. "Grmm mmm mmm..." She mumbled, heading towards the hotel. "Breakfasssstttt...." she muttered, walking towards the breakfast bar like a zombie.

"No problem." She walked fast to open the door. "There you go."

"Thanks." He said, nodding. He placed the two pails on a belt, where they would soon be put through a pasteurization process. He walked out of the room, wiping a bit of dirt from the side of his face and picking a stray bit of hay that had ended up in his hair. "Oi, uh, why don't you come in for tea? Just for a moment, anyways. To rest your feet and to give me a chance to take a quick shower and get cleaned up. That alright?" He asked, tilting his head to the side a little.

She laughed. "Alright." She walked next to him.

He opened the door to the small house for her, and walked in after her. " 's not the most beautiful place, nor the biggest, but, hey, it's what I have, and I'm fine with it." He smiled, and put some hot water on the stove in the room, nodding to a couch on the left. "Kitchen and den are together, that's the way it's been since my grandfather lived here." The kettle boiled, and her poured the water into the cup, adding the tea bag immediately afterwards. "Here ya go, " he said, smiling, "Oh, careful, it's hot!" He handed her the tea. "Now, if you don't mind, I have to get cleaned up a bit, feel free to play with Toki or Saki." He said, nodding at his black cat, Toki, and his collie, Saki. Hurriedly, he went through his room to the bathroom, getting into the shower.

Motoko sipped her tea, still hot. She set it down. She stood up and tripped over her own feet. She yelped and hit the floor hard. "I'm Ok...I'm ok, but what about the baby..." She sat up. "I think everythings ok." She sighed then laughed. "I'm so clumsy."

Aki stepped out of the shower and put on a t-shirt and jeans. He walked into the main area, and stopped, seeing Motoko on the floor. "Oh! Are you alright?!" He asked, kneeling down besides her.

Mei slumped down at a hotel table, having gotten her food from the hotel's breakfast bar. She sighed and sipped her coffee slowly, frowning since it was kind of cold. She picked slowly at her bagel, and took a few small bites of her orange.

Toki was suddenly distracted by a bird, and ran after it into the woods. "Oh... great, she really needs to work on concentration." He said, laughing. She usually did this, so he wasn't worried and walked towards the Blue Bar, pulling on his jacket.

Ash got dressed in a clean t-shirt and jeans, and walked out of the house, whistling for Toki, his collie. "C'mon girl, let's go visit some friends, hmm?" He asked, and she barked in reply. Toki was suddenly distracted by a bird, and ran after it into the woods. "Oh... great, she really needs to work on concentration." He said, laughing. She usually did this, so he wasn't worried and walked towards the Blue Bar, pulling on his jacket.

Stone laughed. "Come on, after you taste my grilled salmon you will forget about your worries!" She smiled putting her apron on. "Come on go sit in at a table!" She smiled walking into the kitchen and started to cook the food.

Ash noticed, and tried to start a conversation, if nothing else than to have something to do. "Okay, umm... Do you like... horses?" He asked, hoping the answer would be 'yes' .

Motoko walk out of her house into the cool air. She looked toward the sky. "Mm." She was wearing a Pair of jeans and a Jacket with a tank top underneath.

Ash yawned, looking at the alarm clock beside his bed. "Oh!" he yelped, sitting upright immediately. 8:43. "I overslept!" He said, jumping out of bed and tugging some jeans on. "Grrr... Everyone's gonna be so mad!" He said, tugging on a clean, but slightly worn, shirt as he hopped around on one foot, trying to find his shoes.

Mei smiled sitting on the windowsill of the large, circular window that was in the barn's loft. She breathed in the crisp air happily, a breeze blowing through her hair, lifting a few stray hairs into her face. She laughed, brushing them back gently. "Nice day today, hmm?" she said aloud, not asking anyone in particular.

Motoko walked over to Ash's farm. But he wasn't out. "Hmm must be inside." She went to his front door and knocked on it. "Ash? You up?"

Ash opened the door, a comb stuck in his hair. He saw Motoko and blushed uncharacteristically. (I'm sorry, no idea how to spell that...) "Oh, hey, Motoko. I kinda overslept," he said, laughing a little. He bent down quickly and laced up his tennis shoes, uncombed hair falling in front of his face.

Motoko thought he looked unbelievely good for someone who got up late. "Whoa push that thought out of my mind..." She said. "Do you need help getting stuff done today since you got a late start?"

"Hmm, she must not be home." She said, sighing. She turned, then jumped up, flying over to Ash's farm. She perched in a tree lightly, and paused as she saw Ash and Motoko talking to each other. Hmm, I'll just watch this for a minute. She thought, grinning mischeivously.

Ash grimaced. "Oh, don't ask... Stone, Mei's roommate and friend, decided to torture us by making us have a date. Needless to say, it did not end well. Mei and I pretty much sat there awkwardly the entire time, and spoke freely for about two minutes." He heard a 'thump' behind Motoko, and leaned around her, looking at the ground where Mei was sprawled. "Ouch..." She said, and looked up, rubbing her head. "Saki scared me..." She said, pointing up to the black kitten in the tree. She looked at Ash, smiling awkwardly. "Yeah, I was gonna apologize about that." She said, managing a weak chuckle.

Ash looked down. "Uh, not like that..." He said, and Mei blushed madly. "Umm... Motoko! Do you wanna go to the hot springs today?" Mei asked, getting up. She smiled at her a little too brightly, trying to cover up the awkward moment.

Ash smiled, "Alright." He said, putting a hand on the back of his neck. Mei almost started jumping up and down. "Yes!" she said, doing a little victory dance. "Let's get started then!" She said, already running to the barn to get pails and milk the cows. Ash raised an eyebrow. "I swear she's obsessed with the baths..." He said, laughing a little. Turning to Motoko, he smiled. "Shall we?" He asked, gesturing over to the barn.

Ash hurried after her, and walked into the barn. Mei was already there, and had fed almost all of the animals. "I just fed Arrow!" She declared brightly. "She sure is getting big, isn't she?" Laughing, she nuzzled the horse's face, smiling as she whinnied. Ash looked at Arrow. "Hmm, should be born soon." He muttered, then went over to Bess and started milking her. "Motoko, if you ever wanted to learn how to milk a cow, here's your chance." He said, talking the process through. Mei went over to Annie and milked her, filling the pail up a good bit. She stood, and waved with one hand. "I'll get the chickens after I put this up, okay?" She said, smiling. Ash nodded, finishing up milking Bess.

Motoko was so confused by everything. "Okay so..." She didn't want to hurt any of the animals she looked at them seeing the soon to be mother. She looked at her own stomach and smiled. She went to milk one of the cows.

Ash wiped his forehead and smiled. "Alright, that should be it. Mei should be getting back in a minute. No doubt she's become distracted by something." He said, grinning good-naturedly.

Ash paid the comment no heed. Sort of. "Oh, um, thanks." He said, smiling a little. Mei ran up to them, bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet. "C'mon, c'mon! Let's go!!!" She said, her wings vibrating furiously. Ash laughed at her antics. "Come on, then. It's just to the east. Not that far a walk." He said, pointing down the road. "Let's go." He said, looking at Motoko. He started walking towards the springs, humming the song Mei had played the other night.

Motoko followed. She wasn't sure why she felt so different around Ash toda but she pushed that aside and was happy to be going to the hot spring.

Mei pushed herself between Ash and Motoko and smiled. "How are you today, Motoko? Didja get enough sleep? I got more than enough, as I'm sure you can tell." She said happily. Ash reached down and ruffled her hair. "You really do enjoy the hot springs, don'tcha Mei?" He asked, laughing. "Yep!" She said, laughing.

Mei smiled and grabbed two bathing towels from the rack and handed one to Motoko. "Come on!" She said, smiling.

"And don't worry, Ash wouldn't mind if we abandoned him. He likes peace and quiet too, sometimes." She said, grinning brightly. "Though he sure doesn't get any with me around." She said, giggling.

But the only way we can do that is if we're there the entire time!" She said, laughing. "The only time he really ever sits still is when he's listening to music. He loves music so much, it's kind of funny. It's rubbed off on me, which is why I perform at the Blue Bar sometimes. That, and it gets me a little more cash." She said, one finger in the air for emphasis.

Mei put her arm around Motoko, and looked ahead, smiling a little. "Hmm... Well, singing does make you feel better. And one of the only reasons I can get up in front of people is because Stone forces me to. She's my best friend, but sometimes, like yesterday, I want to strangle her. Anyways, if you don't wanna sing in front of people, then sing in the shower, or when you're cooking. When you sing, it's like the world isn't bothering you, and you're troubles have disappeared." She smiled at Motoko, giving her a one-armed hug.

Ash walked out into the baths, a towel around his waist. "Hmm, looks like no one's here. Probably because it's a workday for most people." He said to himself. He climbed into the baths, his tense muscles relaxing as the hot water washed over him.
