I'm Not Sure About Your State [[ Or Country Depended On Whether Or Not You Live In The USA Or Not ]] But Here In Missouri We Are Having Pitbulls Banned. I Want To See Some Of Your Feelings Towards The Banning Of Pitbulls.

- Do You Think They Should Be Banned?

- Why Do You Think They Are Agressive?

And Then Post Whatever Else.

well here in quebec there are alredy band for a long time but one of my friend has one and he one of the most gentle dog i know

I don't think all should be banned, only a few.
and i think they`re agressive due to animal fights, people will train them to fight and kill each other for fights and the winning dog's owner will get the moeny.I don't think it's right for animals to be raised like that.

But Banning Them Is Just Stupid.

And Yes Sometimes It Is The Owners Fault...

Well, I'm from Greece and here we have no such thing.

I believe that this is totally insane! The character of the dog depends on the way it is raised. It's not pitbulls that should be banned, but dog fights stopped!

If there are psycho guys that buy a dog to make it a "killer", it's not the dog's fault, but the owner's!!!

Well here in maine there is no such law. I mean all dogs can be harmless. They only Attack if they are raised to like said eariler or under protection. My dog i only 1/5 pitbull but she acts as if she is whole. She is a loving dogand she are all dogs when they are raised to do what they do best, Protect people.

I think they should get over it & let ppl have whatever kind of dog they want.
Most animals who are mean, can be traced back to a bad owner.
As for dogs being aggressive...well...they should just call the Dog Whisper!!! =]

Its not fair that they shouldn't be banned in my state (IL) they are thinking about it. My guyfriend has one and its the sweetest dog ever. Sure there has been some mistakes with them around here but just cause a few dogs have done it doesn't mean that the other dogs are going to do it.
But what I don't understand why just pitbulls? Why not huskies? or begals? Its really crazy.

In england they've already been banned (I think)

I have a Bull Terrier, they're like pit bulls but 'apparently' not as bad, so they don't need to be banned.
Anyway, he is one of the most loving dogs ever, he would never hurt anyone. He can also be left in a room with my 2 year old cousin and he just rolls around and lets her stroke him.

I think that banning a breed of dog is just totally wrong. It's just like banning a race of people!

yeah its like racism where arm the pit bulls supossed to go if they ban them anyways, to another state where the same thing could happen.

its stupid now if you are going to adopt see what the owner before was like and then she how they would treat the dog.it makes me mad how people could be so senseless as to ban a type of dog.if your going to ban one dog ban them all.

It's stupid

There are more vicious dogs than pitbulls it's just because pitbulls can crush bones, so when they do attack, it's really bad. I know some pitbulls, none of them have ever bitten, other than playing around with people.

My dog is half pittbull and she's the nicest dog to people she knows (she's not so nice to strangers).

The problem is that most of the dogs we see on the news as pitbulls--aren't pitbulls! And the fault never is in the animal. I mean, pitbulls are very strong. If a human teaches them to fight, exploits their strengths, that's the person's fault.

The bottom line is, Pit bulls are only used in dog fights, because they can lock their jaws, onto the other dog. Now, Bull dogs can do this as well, but they are shorter, and slower, and are not as agile as the Pit Bull. Pit Bull's are only agressive because they are made to be...they are treated poorly, and are teased excessivily to make them aggressive. People think that that is their nature but it isnt, Dog fighters could use any other dog, but they dont, because they like the idea that the Pit Bull can lock its jaws and not let go of the animal, ultimatly doing more damage. I personally think its wrong...its the People that train the dogs.

That's just insane.
To think that just one breed is banned for being "Dangerous" is dumb.
Pittbulls are not all agressive.
They should NOT be banned.
In fact, my dog is half pittbull and he is a kind, wonderful, playful old dog.
