I think it's stupid, too. I don't get labeled but I hate it when other people do it. I guess I would be called a nerd or something, just cos I have glasses. That's just people being idiots. -_-

I Personally Think They Are Quite Possibly The Stupidest Thing In The World...Stereotypes are meaningless, sometimes degrading and just plain idiotic. I dislike stereotypes with a passion and think that the world would be better without them. I myself have been a victim to stereotyping, people see me and automatically asume that I'm goth or emo or punk. I'm not! I don't label myself with such ridiculous names. Labels are for soupcans and boxes not for teenagers. I think the world would be great without stereotypes.:)

People label other ppl all the time.
I label myself as uber goth.

I know alot of other ppl don't label themselves, but I don't really mind being labeled. I think it's cute to see how wrong other ppl are.Yeah but sis, I don't like to be labeled because then people call me a satanist. And I swear to my hear I'm not! I worship the Lord Jesus Christ. And everyone I live near thinks that gothics and uber gothics are satanists. And I know they aren't. Unless they say they are.They also call me emo because I used to cut. But I don't anymore. And I think it's really insulting towards me and my friends. Here's how it is in my school, if you wear black, you're gothic, if you like rock music, you're gothic and if you wear black make-up, you're gothic! I strongly dislike that with a passion. But it's okay if you label yourself, don't let others do it for you.

i say steriotypes r wrong here i some i know asians have small penises blacks r awsome at sports (( sry i dont know none on my own color lolz)) mexicans r good at making tacos (( ok weird but i have a mexican friends and he can make some good tacos im not lying)) portericans will stab u with anything and to the races im forgetting sry lolz

In my school I used to be "the gothic satanist freak girl".
When I finished school that thing continued...
Just because I wear black clothes and silver jewelry, have black hair and listen to metal I am supposed to be Freddy Crooger (Idk if I spelled it correctly) or maybe something worse...
But that thing made me even better because I had to struggle to prove what I am and what not. I love to see people getting surprised when they really get to know me or just see a part of me other than my appearance!

I nod in total agreement with Randomgirl. Although it is disheartening that a few bad apples have to spoil the image of the whole bunch, I don't preoccupy myself with others' preoccupation with labels. They can call me whatever they want. Only I know who I really am.

I usually get labeled weirdo,emo,gothic,nerd,geek. I may be dark but i'm none of those.

Well, yet again I will post my opinion on stereotypes and stereotypical things.

As many may know, I think stereotypes are ridiculous. People just made them to have a name for something. Or to have an excuse to do the things they do. Take for example, music. Music is a wide spread. From RnB to Rock. From Country to Latin. And there is a stereotype for all of them. Like black people only like RnB. Or white people only like Rock. Country is patriotics. Latin is only for people of Latin descent.

It's just all something as a name. Or as an excuse.
