Well, I comepletely agree. First off, talking about how some one is forced to have sex with him or her is completely disturbing in the first place. Why do people like the storys?:confused: Do they just like the "excitement" ( :( )? Im not sure.

Yes, I have to say that this little sub-trend rather creeps me out. It's hardly something to take lightly. Though I've looked at some of the threads, and I've noticed another facet to this- it never seems to take long for the girls in question to start liking and even wanting what was initially beying forced on them. It's as though someone thinks it's just a really assertive way to seduce someone. That just seems wrong. It's an event that in reality is harrowing, degrading, and ultimately extremely traumatic. It's certainly not "hot," which seems to be how people want to see it. I could actually understand it more if it was played accurately, as then it might potentially be a case of "you underwent this traumatic event and are now trying to deal with the aftermath and recovery." That could give things a more psychological spin. But for many, it seems to be almost a twisted turn-on. I hope they never have to experience it first-hand and find out how wrong they are.

I don't have a problem with RP's about sex or anything like that, apart from rape.
Rape isn't a joke or a game, it's serious and hurtful. I suppoes to some extent, people can get raped in Rp's, but making a RP based on rape is just sick and wrong basically.

Imagine if you'd been raped and then saw an Rp about atnd had people treating it as a joke, how would you feel?

I agree, Nickoli. Having friends who have been victim to rape and having to help...I can only imagine what it feels like and it's probably ten times more horrible than any idea of mine. It's not 'fun' or a 'game' in any way. I mean, if some weirdo pinned you to a wall and started to rip your clothes or you'd scream and cry. Not laugh. It's a traumatizing experience not to be thought of lightly. Any roleplays like that should be closed immediatly and the maker should be put up for possible ban. It's absoulutely horrifying. Not fun. And I'm sorry you had to go through it, Nickoli and everyone else. Absoulutely horrible...

I realize this is a tad late, but this is the first time I've seen this.

I just want to thank you Nickoli for bringing this up. I have been a victim of molestation (luckily I told before it elevated to rape) and my best friend has been raped by her father, along with a few other people, multiple times. She just started getting help last year. Quite frankly, it pisses me off how some people can just make a rp about rape as if it's some little fantasy. It's not.

Everytime I saw one of those rps, it made me want to be sick. Everytime I would think of what happened to me, to my friend, and countless other people that have experienced it. It can take a f*cking lifetime to get over the phsycological (sp?) problems it creates. It affects everyone and those people are just treating it like it's a joke. Like I said, it pisses me off.

Anyway, aside from my monolague/rant, I want to thank you again, Nicky. Thank you very much for bringing it up when others, including myself, wouldn't.

Wow. I very much agree. Rape is traumatic and can destroy a person from the inside. People see it in movies and tv all the time and think it's cute and romantic but it's a twisted fantasy of some very disturbed person who finds the idea of forcing someone to have sex with them satisfying. The bottom line is: you'll never know what it's like until it happens to you, and when it does I'm sure you won't go around making rp's about it.
