Independence is very relative. Specially in countries where man has a strong position. In such cases, females are raised in such a way they're don't have the confidence to believe they can do well without a man. Many countries around the world still have this submission attitude for females, who are thought to be baby machines. Is strange to see is also the females who teach the same thing to their daughters. A woman cannot be independant unless she was taught she can be independant. Females, unlike man, can decide wether they want to be dependant or independant.

Nevertheless, they are different, rather we like it or not. Man are better at certain things. Females can think better, probably, if they're tought they indeed have brains. Again, my point is that neither male nor female is superior. We need to depend on each other to exist, not debate about who's better, because nobody is.

I really have to say that there are so many different people out there that saying one gender is superior to the other because of such-and-such a reason is senseless because there is an exception to almost everything. For example, rose7 said women can hold grudges forever. I can't be angry at someone for more than a few hours. My personal record is 12 hours.

Men and women were created equally. They have different functions, yes. But just because I have a vagina doesn't mean I'm any less capable that a guy. The whole thought that women are supposed to stay at home and raise children while the men work is stupid.
Personally, if a woman wants to be a stay at home mom it's because she thinks she needs to be closer to her children. Not because she has ovaries.
Men are more impulsive I think. Women have longer memories, and it's my opinion that they learn faster (no offence guys.). Women develop faster, and men develop stronger.
Guys are meant for strength, women are meant to take the kids and run. And even though women are more emotional than men, I think they would make better leaders, seeing how most women are less agressive.
But guys have thier good points too. They're less emotional, they tend to be stronger, and they aren't as driven to 'fit in' to the pack as women are.
It's like the old phrase.

I was watching ‘X-men’ today and my brother and I got into this huge conversation about how things today could really not be what they were supposed to be.
